Looks fantastic. I can relate to this movie in a major way. I know three very old grandpa guys but back in there early years were a terror on earth and now they are simple quiet people just trying to get into heaven and regret their past. Funny how the past comes back to haunt you later on as the closer you get to the grave And the secrets they take with them.

Being born in 1962, I was lovingly indoctrinated via war movies and westerns. Shane and True Grit comes to mind. High Noon, Tora Tora Tora, Midway. I love me a western. Hollywood doesn't need to saturate the genres. But don't give up on them, either. They'll be customers waiting to spend their money.
So this looks like it may be a retelling of the survival of Billy The Kid, given the character name, gun handling skills, and mysterious origins. If so, I am ALL FOR that! This looks like it could be really good!
One of the papers he pulls out of the drawer says "Lincoln County" on it, which is where The Kid was best known. That sealed the deal, with me. I'm almost certain he's Billy The Kid and I am VERY excited!
Pa woulda snapped a few times raising a boy. No way the kid wouldn't have known. When you got a real one for a father, trust me, you know. But I'm gonna take my dad to the theater for this one.
@@drewgormley6933 - truth - but I met some some old badasses that I wouldn't have know if it weren't for witnesses of their badassery - but these were the kindess men that EVERYONE respected.
You know never really know with those guys. The reason we knew was some papers found in his home after his died along with the DSO and several Awards from the Polish Government (1920 and WWII).
"HaHa"? The next respondent said a "real father". Some of those men barely survived and many didn't keep and humanity. Some of them were killing machines and some were just farmers. There's no "real fathers" in killing machines. You worship violence and you'll only learn violence. Broken and twisted souls don't teach children well.

I love it. The perfect actors for the roles. Westerns were my father's favorite movies and sometimes I feel the need to warch a good western. Thank you.
I just come across this movie last night and let me tell you how GRRREAT!! This Movie is.
Wow.
Best I've seen since
No Country for old men.
This Movie is Gangster af
A clip from TikTok convinced me to watch this movie……easily one of the best movies I’ve seen. INSTANT CLASSIC.
At first I wasn't sure... but damn if this guy has deserved his due for the longest time. Such an underrated actor. I'll watch it for that and that alone.
Your comment deserves more likes. It's so underrated.
Just finished watching this 5 minutes ago. I'ma tell you like this...
This is one of the best westerns I've ever seen (and I'm old) with a surprise ending that will make you sit up in your seat.
Don't read anymore youtube comments. Just go watch this film. You won't regret it.
Thank youuu!! 🇺🇸🙌🏼💯😀
Wow what a movie. Stephan dourif and Tim Blake Nelson did awesome in this.
Damn I miss Westerns. I really liked Hostiles with Christian Bale. Kinda rare to get a good ole time fashioned Western for the modern era. Surprised by Nelson playing the lead, it fits him rather well. He might aptly be suited for a gunslinger role, can't wait.
Hostiles was so freaking good. man was it choice, I love these period pieces, the feel of being transported to that time and that place. you sir made a good comment and now i am happily set to rewatch a good movie I forgot about. TYVM.
@@mikew735 You’re welcome.
A cousin of mine was one of the Sons of the "Land Owner",killed at the end...
Reminds me, in a way, of Clint Eastwoods character in Unforgiven. Love to see him finally get the lead role. I've been a fan since "Brother..."
The role Ive been waiting for from this guy.
Can not wait.
This was my favorite movie of the year and top 5 favorite western of all time.
I’ve watched this movie 3 times! Great movie!
Went into this trailer with no expectations, and now I'm slavering at the prospect of a Billy the Kid story. This is gonna be *good*.
I'm with you buddy.
Is this supposed to be a Billy the kid story, i dident realise.
@@jjbrowned313 Henry McCarty was his birth name- when he went out west he took the alias William H. Bonney, going by Billy most places. In the trailer you can see the newspaper headlining the Lincoln County War of New Mexico, which shot Billy into infamy.
Shot left handed, Licon County papers.
Billy The Kid" Excellent movie
2:15 The way he was fanning that colt shows there's more to Ol Henry than meets the eye
This movie was so good. The lead actor was excellent. Highly recommend this one.
BEST western I have watched in Years!! Great TWIST at the end.............
Awesome and epic movie riddled with historical twists and references. Loved it and getting it for friends and family. Worth getting.
Awesome movie. I will come back to study this film for years to come. The dialogue between the father and son was my favorite part.
Just about the best Western I've ever seen... incredible story-telliing and spectacular cinematography. Right up there with Clint masterpieces. Tim Blake Nelson is outstanding!
How's the storyline. Is it captivating
@@farzana6676 Captivating to say the least. I'm usually pretty good at figuring out where plot lines lead to... this one caught me off guard as I was totally in the moment with Old Henry... and pleasantly surprised by what transpired. I did have a slight inkling about something but I turned out being wrong but close to it (don't want to give anything away)... and that my friend is why I love movies/storytelling like this... filmmaking at it's best.
Stephen Dorf really suits the Western theme, its good to see him back, underrated actor.
He is jewish
@@luisg.5700 A lot of cowboy actors are.
I liked Dorf ever since Blade.
Funny I've always seen Stephen as overrated.
@@lhurst9550 He was a libtard in that TV show the sheriff lol a little one to.
78 here, had Young Guns, unforgiven, tombstone... kinda spoiled :D
@@cotillion Don't forget 3:10 to yuma (wonderful remake). Unforgiven has gotta be no.1 tho.
One of the effin best movie of all time! Together with Sisu
Great filmmaking. Absolutely made the top of my list 2023
So this looks like it may be a retelling of the survival of Billy The Kid, given the character name, gun handling skills, and mysterious origins. If so, I am ALL FOR that! This looks like it could be really good!
Could be, would for sure if they would have played down the super-being angle.. And what is that supposed to mean "Everywhere but here." ??
@@bill2953 I repeated it in my head when he said it with that look on your face of "huh?"
@@Dennis-66 Sounds painful. lol
He named his son Wyatt. The hat he wears towards the end of the clip with the side pushed in is reminiscent of one of BTK famous photos.
One of the papers he pulls out of the drawer says "Lincoln County" on it, which is where The Kid was best known. That sealed the deal, with me. I'm almost certain he's Billy The Kid and I am VERY excited!
Los western, el septimo arte no estaría completo sin estos filmes fabulosos.
I don't watch many of them two times in a row. This was one of them.
This is the best western I have seen in years. I highly recommend people to see it.
"Who ARE you, Pa?!?" - When you find out your ol man the baddest in the west!!! HAHA
I had an old Polish guy in my neighborhood (I use to mow his lawn) who fought in and survived the Red Attacks on Poland in 1920, the German and Soviets Invasions in 1939, and fighting with the British in 1940-45 winning several citations for Bravery, including a DSO. The reason we knew was some papers found in his home after his died along with the DSO and several Awards from the Polish Government (1920 and WWII).
@@marks1638 There's a DSC in my family, so I know that's no joke. Brave man there. Hope he had a friend
"HaHa"? The next respondent said a "real father". Some of those men barely survived and many didn't keep and humanity. Some of them were killing machines and some were just farmers. There's no "real fathers" in killing machines. You worship violence and you'll only learn violence. Broken and twisted souls don't teach children well.
Westerns is one of my favorite genres, this looks as if it has something potential, cant wait
I highly recommend watching this movie , we missed it like this
Wow! This movie was very well put together. A good Western flick. All the actors did a good job, with good chemistry too. I like movies that you have to pay close attention to little details, because when it comes up again later on - it makes it even better. Hope this movie wins awards. It deserves it.
Stephen Dorff is just fantastic. One of THE best actors I've ever seen. No matter what he's in, he's the best thing or co-best thing in it.
Tim Blake Nelson was often the best part of most of the films he was in... this here looks to be no exception. 😎👍
All I can respond with is a resounding... YES.
Best movie of 2021...Ow and Yh it’s not just a movie it’s a master piece !!
Holy crap this was a good movie. Minimalistic but it really helps you focus on the performances. Tim Blake Nelson is absolutely magnificent.
“Who are you Pa?”
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil: For I AM the meanest SOB in the valley.
This looks incredible. First movie trailer I’ve said that about in years… Years…
About time Time Blake Nelson got a lead role. He's one of my favorite actors of all time. This looks awesome.
Damn good western !! Best one in YEARS !
