Tim blake nelson is this generation’s best western actor. The cowboy action displayed is second to none this day and age. And watching a decrepit old father become an absolute wrecking ball to castle doctrine a crowd of thugs is more than satisfying.

Always remember how wild bil got taken out and how the old saying went: “just because you took out wild bill doesn’t make you wild bill” After a certain point of living the life style you start to feel like the pirates in the curse of the black Pearl where nothing satisfies you from women to partying and it’s at this point most folk I know just ODd or do themselves in, when I hit that point I realized that the “the only way to win is not to play” I’ve got graze wounds from rounds, scars from knives and teeth both human and animal and I’ve got shrapnel in my skull still. Only thing all that action showed me was how to survive better than the other guy and that doing so comes with some really steep prices to pay. To anyone who reads all this and is about that life I hope you have a serious and clear cut goal for doing what you do and that the price you’re paying is worth it.
Had to go watch this after seeing this. God damn now that is a fucking movie. No time wasted, fantastic filming, incredible actors and overall just a great vibe start to finish.

I just realized this is the same guy who starred in that 'singing cowboy' dark comedy/western a few years back. Excellent casting choice especially after seeing him that first one. 10/10 for acting
I love the tomahawk kill...i grew up in the 60's in rural central east coast Florida, camping and trapping and tracking and hunting and carried one and got good with it and when I got to Vietnam in '69 as a U.S. Recon Marine I carried one with me there too....I prefered them over knives for both field work and hand to hand combat.
Spoiler alert: For those who havent seen the film, in the end its revealed that he the legendary Billy the kid. essentially those guys rolled up on the retired western john wick who is famous for killing people and robbing banks as a young kid until he was 21.
Yea I didnt think it had any link until the end, plus the old henry name didnt link to billy the kid, but reading more the law pat garett let billy in this movie live an not kill him in reality.
Tim Blake Nelson is the kind of actor who will always be underrated, yet I love his acting. Few remember his name and when he acts he is totally the character, he does not bring himself into the role as most do, he just melt it into the character.
What a fantastic enhancement to an underappreciated movie. I stumbled on the movie by accident and really enjoyed it. What perfect music for this scene. Thank you for your creative effort.

Little details when you rewatch this - at 0:48, the gang member in the long coat (last survivor) is surprised by the killing of the brother in law, it wasn't part of the plan. At 0:53 the gang leader grins as he realised the kid missed and he's still alive. 2:32, the protagonist either has a twin or a teleportation device.
This is one of the biggest surprise movies I've ever seen. Saw Stephen Dorf and figured it'd be kind of corny. Little did I know I'd play the ending like 7 times. Awesome story and the main actor crushed it as an older Billy the Kid.
Most people can’t aim, billy the kid unlike a lot of cowboys COULD aim and shoot. Wish we got more footage of him with the lever action since that was his favorite tool. Most “old west shoot outs” really took the stones to show up, throw lead and know which way to point the thing.

Stephen Dorf is an impressive actor in most of the recent shit he's done. Look at True Detective season 3.
