It's a shame Death Battle has to have a death, because Darkseid sentencing Thanos to live as a powerless, immortal wretch who will never feel the embrace of Death would have been a great way to end that episode.

I noticed that too. Honestly, can't blame them for forgetting the fight since it's not even a good match up to begin with. Sora was going to win from the start since he's way more powerful than Pit from what we've seen of both of them from their respective series.

To be fair, the other opponent (Pit) is a fairly niche character nowadays

I never really had the chance to be a big Metal Gear fan for a while, because I was still in Kindergarten during the series's prime.
But after my dad bought me The Phantom Pain, I got really invested, and spent the next month just studying up on Metal Gear lore. And then I found the Death Battle...
It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The quality, the build-up, the fighting, the tension, the jokes and the climax, it all fit together so perfectly, I felt like I was watching a legitimate movie made by a multi-millionare company.
Solid Snake vs Sam Fisher was one of my greatest experiences on UA-cam. It wasn't the episode that introduced me to Death Battle, but it was the episode that got me invested in it.
This one is my first/favorite battle. I love the hand to hand combat aspects and the climax/death
It’s a battle that’s definitely in my top 5. You wouldn’t expect a battle against two stealth specialists to go so hard
The hand to hand combat was good
I’d recommend ganondorf vs Dracula if you haven’t already watched it. It’s a masterpiece.

The ending section of Iron Man vs Lex Luthor is honestly one of, if not just straight up my favorite in any Death Battle, the only one I will often go back to and watch mostly for that. Great music, the "I've been playing human" line gives me chills every time, and just everything about it is amazing
Lex Vs Iron Man honestly gives me goosebumps every time I rematch it, and it is pretty much the only episode I rematch multiple times because I love it that much. Everything about that closing sequence is perfect, the music, the lines, the action, the fake out, it all comes together to make something genuinely special.

An idea I had for Thanos’ would be that True Darkseid would blast him with his omega beams like in the episode, but then when the white fades away Thanos sees he’s back at the start of the fight, forced to repeat an unwinnable battle for all of eternity.
It’s Thanos’ worst fear, being helpless, and that even before the fight began, he was already in the Omega Sanction, and this was just one of countless fights that occurred before, and many more to come.
Oh also I forgot. Scout is hilariously enough one of the most cheat characters in fictional history along with the rest of the Team Fortress 2 mercs. The Medic (Aka Dr. Ludwig) sold all their souls to the devil who would endlessly resurrect them with the memories of the fight that killed them simply feeling like a bad dream at least, and completely forgetting it happened at most while still having complete knowledge of the current objective. Also they are resurrected and put in the spawn room of wherever Ludwig wants the Hell Chairman to put them at that moment.
So it doesn’t matter how fast she is, or how many times Tracer can warp, recall, blow up, or shoot down the Scout, he will simply be resurrected in 4 seconds at full health, fully stocked with new ammo, new drinks-hell maybe even different weapons and drinks-to do it over and over again with no decreasing sanity or will to fight or anything of the sort because he has no reason to. To him, he just got up from a bad dream and knows he’s gotta fight Tracer. And the only canon way for Tracer to be resurrected is for Mercy to resurrect her, which I doubt the Scout would wait around for five seconds for her to fly in, cast it, sit there long enough to read the entire bee movie script (seriously resurrect was nerfed HARD), and FINALLY resurrect Tracer. And even if we allowed this outside interference AND gave Mercy the benefit of the doubt that Jeremy is stupid enough to let her resurrect Tracer, then she’d have to have Tracer survive for 30 seconds and do it all over again, which I heavily doubt Scout would let her do.
In a 1v1, cheats excluded, Tracer wins, however Death Battle factors everything that is in a character’s arsenal, and Scout does not need the Medic present to be resurrected, unlike say if he was Übered.
Oh also, this isn’t a Hulk or Buu case where Tracer could simply destroy every bit of Scout, therefor leaving him unrevivable. Scout has been resurrected from being turned to dust from the Phlogistinator and Mannmelter, turned to ice by the Spycicle, turned to literal gold by a Saxxy and Golden Pan, and even completely atomized by the Cow Mangler, Pompson 6000, and Neon Annihilator
Jeremy would wreck almost every character in Death Battle history simply because he has infinite lives and can win through attrition. This also applies to every single Team Fortress 2 mercenary too, btw.
The only beings who could beat him are beings who could destroy his soul like Ghost Rider, beings who are aware of how he’s being revived and either making a deal with Hell’s Chairman to stop reviving him or just killing the Chairman (which I don’t think is possible) then killing the Scout again for the final time, or just trapping him in a unwinable state like Darkseid’s Omega Sanction.
So yeah if they factored that in Scout would’ve stomped Tracer.

STRONG disagree on Thanos being at the very bottom. Love or hate Deadpool (and this is coming from someone who HATES Deadpool), his history with Thanos makes the sequence thematically beautiful, and Thanos suffering death over and over despite being someone literally in love with death is a beautiful irony.
Besides that, thorough and excellent list.

And honestly? The callback to sayonara to then flip it around and have Shadow stomp Ryuko into the fucking ground felt absolutely terrific for shadow. Also the hand drawn bits were so gooood

Thanos’s death should have been Sanji coming at Thanos, claiming that he will make him cough up what he’s already eaten, and then he gets kicked into the air. Then Tai Lung punches thanos in the face sending him to the paddington 2 kitchen. Thanos then drowns in the marmalade sending him to a street from the movie soul. He then gets a notification from his iphone7 telling him that he got the gig. Thanos then tells Ebony Maw that he got the gig and then falls into the manhole. Suddenly, he wakes up at the skeld and then gets voted out by the weird jellybeans for being “suspicious”. Suddenly, the anhilator comes in to steal his powers, and then He, Tai Lung, Tamatoa, the Black Order, Marcus Davenport, Paddington and Sanji again beat him up until he fucking dies
After Thanos dies, he wakes up in mighty med hospital and then he meets the anhilator again. The Anhilator violently takes away his powers causing him to black out. He then wakes up in a kitchen bar and then turns around to see Rock Lee trying the curry. He rags on Thanos’ curry for being too mild and then kicks him to the alucard vs Spawn area. Then, Spawn murders Thanos with a decapitation. Suddenly, he wakes up at the skeld again and then he gets voted out for being sus. Suddenly, Green Lantern says “Time huh? Thanks for the tip.” out of nowhere and then teleports to the beginning of thanos’ death, cuts off his hand, and then stomps him with a green boot. “Ew. I stepped in loser.”
After getting crushed by the Green Lantern boot, Thanos finds out that he is trapped inside the world inside Green Lantern’s boot instead of dying. In that world he gets blasted by some bearded guy with a milk jug, and then Ryuko comes in to murder Thanos. The Great Demon says “the winner is Thanos”, after The Great Demon announces the winner of Thanos vs Ryuko, Boomstick says “Thanos may have won, but the fight isn’t over yet!” Thanos wakes up in the sewer. He saw no one but Zitz from Battletoads. He jumps and then says “since you won’t finish your food, I’ll make you cough up what you’ve already eaten!” Zitz then kicks Thanos sending him flying. Thanos enters a bank where an aardvark named Arthur is doing a Canadian robbery. Thanos lands on the bank money, and then Tamatoa comes in. Tamatoa grabs Thanos and then eats him. Thanos falls into the void of Tamatoa’s stomach where he sees Dr. Fate. Dr. Fate makes the I n f I n I t e g e n d e r and then disintegrates Thanos. Thanos’ ashes then reform into Thanos. Thanos finds himself in a dusty area, where he sees Mario Head. Mario Head calls him “stinky”, causing him to do the funny Walter White fall. Thanos got called stinky by Mario. A fate worse than death.

Even if they didn't think it would have changed the outcome, it bugs me that Mob's greatest advantage against Tatsumaki was his ability to absorb psychic energy and add it to his own. I thought when she tried to trap him, he was going to just absorb it and then trap her to get hit by her own meteor, which would have been cool. Also that way my poor sweet child Mob would have won, which would have been 1,000,000% better.
Near the end, I forgot it's "Every death" so Pinkie Pie vs Deadpool wouldn't be here. Good ranking.

The power rangers death to Voltron is my personal favorite. I was HYPED for that battle and was debating Voltron vs Power rangers with my friends before that battle was announced. That ending gives me chills Everytime and it’s delivered by one of my favorite UA-camrs to boot.
Red and Charizards death fucking scared me though. “Ow my childhood” sums it up pretty well.
I love how they got MatPat to deliver a line that gave me goosebumps. Not only that, but they got him to deliver one of THE MOST chilling lines in the series. Pretty sure only Iron Man's "playing human" line tops it.

About the first Goku vs Superman fight: this was planned to be published at the day the mayan calendar has "forseen" the last day of earth. So that is why earth was destroyed with that last blow. Unfortunately the fight was delayed for some days.
I actually like Harrys death it was a nice attention to detail because realistically and lore wise you don't bleed out when hit by a light saber

The only one I severely disagree with is kakashi vs obi wan not even cracking the top 50. "Trust in the force" vs "never give up" are probably my favorite pre final clash/big move lines in the entire series. You really didnt do enough to sell me on why you think it shouldn't be higher

14:42 In the commentary for the episode they said that Batman was originally going to have his jaw ripped off and another idea they had was BP using his necromancy to bring BM's parents back as zombies and having them eat BM, but didn't use it since it wouldn't make sense and would of bin too much.
Twilight vs Raven was also meant to have a more brutal death but they didn't want to traumatize any young kid who watched it on accident.

Another compliment I'd give to Wolverine's death is how Boomstick reacts, no jokes, no quirky thoughts, just pure shock, to the point where I can even visualize it with animated Boomstick.

Your explanation for Hulk's death against Doomsday here really gave me some more insight into why it's so fantastic.
I always thought that Hulk's death was pretty overrated, great but not incredible. But your reasoning, especially the whole "making sure his name and face is the last thing he sees and hears" thing is something i never considered, and i see the death in a completely new light now.
Personally, Alucard Vs Spawn has my favourite death ever, for pretty obvious reasons i'm sure. A close second would be Silver Samurai's death though. I loved the use of colours, particularly the blazing fire in the background making the scene feel more brutal, hopeless, and claustrophobic. Weirdly, it's the only death in the show that i think i could describe as "beautiful".
Also Metal Sonic's death is one of my top 5 favourites and i will NOT be taking any questions on that.

*ride into hell (ghost rider vs lobo)*
-Yates uses the drums to simulate the sound of motorcycles idling. Also the solo is SO GOOD
*both Four Fist Death Punch and the Pokemon vs Digimon mashup (Goro vs Machamp and Charizard vs Greymon)*
- hearing the Pokémon theme mixed with both of these already amazing battles was just sooooo good. Four Finger Death Punch was integrated wayyy better into the battle, even having matched actions. But Pokemon vs Digimon was just a better song overall
*bizarre stars (Jotaro vs Kenshiro)*
- I’m a sucker for any jojo theme and I think it’s a shame more Jojo’s haven’t been used in Death Battle. (Old Joseph vs Indiana Jones for example)
*shredding silver (silver samurai vs shredder)*
- the intro is a very intense fast paced drum riff with some sort asian air instrument in the background that highlights the drums. It’s by far the best intro. And the rest of the song holds up just as well
*wings of iron (Optimus prime vs Gundam)*
-just a solid ass 80’s style metal song. The vocals are so fun to listen to and I love Therewolf Media for making the lyrics so catchy

Hulk vs Doomsday legit shocked me as a child, all I could say was "STOP STOP HE'S ALREADY DEAD" and the absolute brutality that is Doomsday delivering the finishing blow just left me speechless, definitely the most memorable battle

Need to update this to include the most recent one: Shadow vs Ryuko.
Personally, I’d give it a C tier. I WAS gonna give it a B tier, but some of the lines seemed a bit out of place for the 2 characters. I DID enjoy the absolute reversal Shadow did to Ryuko and her clothing (Forgot the name) screaming her name in her final moments. The chaos blast with Ryuko screaming as she got evaporated was a pretty nice death! The last line reminded me of something Sonic would say, so that’s another bonus. Overall though, it’s not bad!

Gamera’s Death made me cheer when I first saw it, but now I tear up when I see it. What a beautifully brutal way to go.

If your willing to rank every death in death battle, you should give a fight for every single Pokemon.
That would take probably 3-4 hours at the bare minimum so probably not

I absolutely agree with the first and last place picks
You know, I think a pretty good way to save the Weiss vs Mitsuru death is if, for just a second or two we see Weiss get split in half, separating her torso and legs, Preferably with a satisfying blood splatter as the flying chunks of ice are stained red. This would also make that last shot of Myrtenaster so much better as the sword breaking in half would be a perfect reference point to how Weiss' now off screen body looks. Maybe that's just me and maybe I'm just a sadist for thinking of more brutal ways to kill one of my favorite RWBY characters, but those are my thoughts on how it could be better.
