Northen Italian use garbanzo flour to make Firinata. Farinata is made similar to pizza with nothing on it just the Farinata made with Farina di Ceci (Garbanzo flour). Delicious!
What about using canned chik peas that are rinsed, patted dry and then baked in 400 degree oven until crispy, then grind them in a coffee grinder??? Wouldn't this make them much more digestible?
Uhhh .... gonna pass ... don't know why ... but (karma, past lives ?) garbanzo beans, mideast chickpeas don't fly with me ... can't tolerate their taste and flavor, no matter how displayed in any recipe .... You can eat my share of the crop ..... PLEASE !!!

'Chole Chaat' and 'Chole ki sabji' are my fav.
Never heard of the baking soda tip, I will try it when soaking tonight.
I use it regularly and it works well. It is especially helpful to soften old beans (which I have a lot of).
Thanks so much for this very informative video on chickpea and the flour.
Mint tea helps with digesting them
Any tips for removing the bitter taste we often get when using chickpea flour?

I only eat the Bahnza chickpea based pasta now if I want pasta, normal pasta spikes my blood sugar far too much, also Bahnza has much more protein.
Good stuff!

"paling in comparison to any store bought variety" Did you get that backwards?
That does sound awkward but you get the jist?
