Is the valley pan process for the N62TU much different than for the M62TU? Any idea what the parts list would look like for me?

Thank you! N62TU is completely different engine! I don't think you will have a problem with valley pan cover on this engine. They usually have tube seal leaking under the valley pan and to replace it not that easy. You need to find the video with your engine and decide if you want to do anything for now.

    I've a couple of questions..
1- I've seen few videos around and they cut a tube and replace it with a collapsible one...is this for newer models? I have the M62TU44 from a 2002 X5 4.4i but mine looks more like your engine.
2-What are the black rubbers on the box at the end of the video? I know the red gaskets are for the manifold, and then there are gaskets and orings for the cooling manifold and pipes, and then the complete valley pan w the gasket but what is the last rubber from the cardboard box?

Hey Mike thank you for such a detailed DIY it's great. I have a question for you through. I will be doing this on my 03 6speed msport 540i along with a complete cooling system refresh. I will be using the colder 88° thermostat like you have. I know you have to use a resistor connected the thermostat plug to trick the DME into thinking there's a plug connected to the thermostat on the newer 540i models like ours. I'm having a hard time finding what type and what Ohm's to use for the resistor. What did you use? It looks like you used BMW part # 13901734469, did you? If you did does it work and if you didn't use that part what did you use? I would really appreciate the help.

@@taylorsons4303 on this engine you don't need to change this pipe, as you change the o-rings. I guess you talking about N62 engine. N62 engine is completely different then M62.
