With so many B5 actors gone, and now last in row, Delenn (Mira Furlan) gone, i see no more hope for new B5 that will ever happen. Nevertheless B5 will always have special place in my heart, as one of best Scifi series ever. Rest in peace all those who passed and moved outside the Galaxy!.
I was so sad when I learned Mira Furlan had passed away because I was in the middle of watching the show for the first time. It was sad seeing her performance right after she died

Well Reboot is happening. If the reboot is at least half as good as the original it's going to be a good scifi show. If old actors appear, Boxleitner should either be an Admiral, the father of NuSheridan, or an Actor, visiting Babylon 5 to shot a movie there.

It's amazing how much the quality of the cgi improved from the mid to late 1990's (the original show) to 2007 (when this was filmed). I love the landing bay interior and how convincing its cavernous size is depicted. I read that the cgi "models" were fan based ones due to the orignals already being archived by Warner Bros. I could never understand how Babylon 5 was considered a navigation hazard and blown up. It could have still been used as an outpost of some type, sold off to someone who wanted to use it as a merchant trading hub, or whatever. It's the only thing that bugged me about the series. I love Babylon 5 as a TV series.
Seriously, make it a goddamn museum. It was a place where history had been made. One of the most important places of the younger races. But for story reasons, and to book end it, they destroyed it. It took up operation in the pilot, it was destroyed in the finale.
You underestimate what it takes to maintain even modest earthly facilities and vessels. The real issue is that all the debris they made is likely a greater Hazzard than an intact station would be.
It was symbolic to destroy it. It wasn't required anymore. However, I thought they should have just dismantled it rather than blowing it up so that they could recycle the materials.
Something I didn't realize the first time. Sheridan and Ventari aren't wearing spacesuits in their starfuries? That seems a huge safety risk. Maybe 'furies have gotten a lot safer in 10 years.
the Furies are pressurized. Sheridan even tells Ventari that since they are not going into combat they should be fine. Sheriden was also planning on "accidentally" shooting Ventari and if he was in a pressure suit it would be harder to kill him and still make it look like an accident

I hope the reboot fails badly and serves as a lesson that some films/series cannot be improved so they should actually get original writers with talent rather than keep sucking on the reboot teat
As much as I would like new B5 content, I'd rather have a proper remaster than a reboot because I can't think of a better G'kar than Andreas Katsulas or a better Londo than Peter Jurasik, and that counts for every other character
@@Anbello2 Both could be done parallel, but I doubt they will spend the needed money in a proper remaster, as these cgi`s are mostly to old and in to bad/low resolution, also this AI upscalling to 16:9 Full HD is not cheap I guess.
