After beating the game i can confirm the facial animations are miles better in the remaster, not worth a 40$ tag but i got it by preordering the deluxe edition of True Colors, so it was 20$ instead.
I played the original years ago, and I think both versions are good. The remaster is just not worth 40$

I 100% prefer the original look.the remaster is way more uncanny valley than the original
The lighting is so much better in the original
Even if the new one looks more realistic and natural, I think I still prefer the lighting of the original at times especially in the classroom.
Hair and clothes became better. Faces and light became WORSE.
Facial animation became more rich BUT it does not mean it is now better. Max lost her nice-n-creepy eyes expression.
The remastered has more details but messed up their faces
其實差很多，MAX臉長得不一樣，很容易就認得出來哪個是原版哪個是重製版
原版的MAX單純可愛，重製版的...不予置評，強烈建議購買原版，重製版問題很多，人物曝光，字幕亂碼等等...官方也沒有要修的意思

I love this game, but i also enjoy the original look
tbh i like the remaster. Better then the god awful before the storm remaster. This looks pretty good. Sure if you've played the original countless times, its a cash grab. But tbh ive never played the original other then before the storm and true colors (watched 1 from youtubers) and i enjoyed it. Looks gorgeous maxed out and the facial animations helped the emotions so much more. Yeah theres issues and yeah it is minimal effort but i enjoyed the upgrade 🤷🏼
Talk about minimum effort for a remaster, this is a total cash grab

The remaster feels a bit sloppy and lazy. Like they could’ve done it a lot better, but just chose not to because of lack of time.
The original is so much better at the moments, and in other moments the remaster looks way cooler. It’s far better to just stick with what you have than to remaster in this strange way, where you can’t surely decide what’s better
original version I already have it on steam I think original awesome
such a fucking shame that the remastered is not free or any sale for original owners. I have all full three games on Steam, and i must pay 40 bucks for the same game I already have without any new content but just less poker faces (lip sync is still horrible)? no hella way.

I know they don't do things for free and they play on people nostalgia, knowing that almost half of this planet have the original game, but pay again for it twice is ridiculous. Mafia 2 Remastered was added as free update for previous owners, same goes for Quake Enhanched and Doom Unity port, but deck nine want all your money despite they even released True Colors just months ago. No way, sorry.

@@Devilot91 Mafia 2 remastered was not very good. First of all. Second, its cheaper for people who have the Ultimate Edition for True Colors, and lastly the facial animation upgrades do cost money.
Oryginal looks better and more Normal than Remaster
Remaster got nicer rain, trees etc
But Orgl is Better
Now please someone tell me why did they need to make a remastered of a game from 2015 and even worse the game looks almost exactly the same so pretty unpointless , this remaster era is ridiculous sometimes , only cash grab

The actual graphics are fine but I massively prefer the style of the original and thats just lost
