This is a lot of work to remove a stereo. It was much easier for older Honda Accords, but this was really good instructions. Great Job putting together this walk-through.
This helped me A LOT. I had to replace the plastic face on the radio itself due to an air freshener leaking and ruining the face. I replaced it on a 2010 Accord Coupe and it is the same steps as these. Great video! Thank you!
Great video! The paint on the top of the control panel has worn in one spot. I am having trouble finding touch up paint for it. It is exactly the same color as the panel in the video. Is there a way to get the touch up paint?
Guys, I have a 2010 Honda Accord with a single track CD player that will not play nor eject the CD. I understand your website to indicate you no longer fix Honda equipment. Is there a shop or place that you know of here in Orlando Florida where I could get a direct plug and play replacement CD player? Excellent video here to help me with this swap out. Thanks
Good video. My 08 CD wont eject, and wont play either, also the radio lights are not working, I guess once I remove the radio I will be able to change the bulbs ?
This is awesome. I would love to know which cable is the subwoofer cable. I was able to replace my audio system, but for some reason sub does not work anymore.
Great tutorial. Thank You. I have a 2009 Honda Accord with almost all of my bulbs burned out. Once you remove this center dash console, are the burned out bulbs serviceable?
@@MrKeenan3325 I have a 2011 Honda Accord LX all of my lights when out at once but my radio still works, I looked further into it found out there is known issue with the radio where the wire that controls the lights comes loose from the mother board and to fix it you have to pull the radio out and re-solder the wire back to it. Lucky I found a pull and save lot near me with 2 LX's I am going to try to pull them out and reinstall those radios
@@ryanpahl103 Just a heads up, I've also seen where you shouldn't hook up the dimmer light in this series of Accords, something about the polarity of the dash lights being wired backwards. I didn't see much about it, but it might be something you and the other guys wish to check out.
@@BoStErO1905 Yes depending on your head unit there are either 5 or 7 neo wedge lights that can be screwed out and replaced. You see them in this video but its hard to describe
Repair the cd changer? What was it doing mines sometimes keep trying to load a cd when there is no cd in it....I don't even use the cdplayer.. ANY BODY KNOW WHAT COulD BE CAUSING THE PROBLEM? ANY REPLIES WOULD BE GREAT
Question: Why does my Accord have a different configuration compared to other Accords of the same year/Gen? Mine has a small screen at the bottom. I bought the car from a private owner and I forgot to ask him about it. Mine is basically missing all the buttons and knobs below the AC controls. My car is a 2008 Honda Accord EX Sedan 4D Manual Transmission
Hi, Great video. Is there a radio fuse? My radio fuse on th passenger underdash blows instantly while replacing it and think this might be the correct place to look first to test the line isse. Due to this, my radio still turns on but there's absolutelty 0 sound.
hi i have a 2010 honda accord it has exactly the same stereo and ac panel but on my ac on/off sync and auto buttons the bulbs are out any chance you could tell how to replace them. thanks
Hi, I have a 2009 Honda Accord EX L and the stereo is showing lights and all the buttons work. but I am getting no sound on any of the media options AM/FM, CD, AUX nothing produces sound. What could be the problem?
I forgot I parked in gear, started up and slinged shot my coffee all over my radio. The radio does not play through speakers but the display still registers all radio presets, scanning, ac controls, ect. Could it be a bigger problem than just replacing the radio?
Thanks for posting. I have a 2010 Accord EX - exact same system as in this video. I am getting no sound at all. The controls otherwise all work, the display works, etc., just no sound for anything, AUX, CD, FM, AM, or XM. .
+Fabrice BENI Yes, sort of. Shortly after this happened by battery died, leaving me stranded. A kind person gave me a jump and I drove straight to the dealer (I thought the battery was under warranty). After replacing the battery, they had to reset the audio system, enter the security code, and almost everything worked again. The AUX input doesn't work, but everything else does.
edward warda , I have the same problem with my 2009 Honda Accord the radio works but there no lights unfortunately there is no fuse to change you either have to get a new radio or take up the existing one and repair a PCB board that's on it good luck
Interesting. I just pulled my radio to change the HVAC bulbs, but now my radio doesn’t turn on, no blinking Anti-Theft, etc. Are you saying that probably isn’t the fuse?
i have a same model like this, but all the panels button ( on/off, a/c, temperature control, sync ) are malfunction. does anyone know how to fix this ?
Lmfao you sure this was not the "Evidence to convict" video lol. Looks like you are making a how to steal a honda stereo system video lol. Fast and to the point good video!!.

Thank you...super helpful, especially the turning off ignition before removing the airbag connector!
Very helpful, explained every detail, from the location of every screw to how to release the latches on the wiring connectors.

Blowing fuse means there is a short in the system or a system overload but most likely a short.
Geez what a process this is. I remember when radios were easy to uninstall. Why do they Make it so hard these days?
Yes sir, and the fact car audio don't pay worth a shit.
Great but how to remove lcd please?
The memory buttons has no lights on my 2012 accord can be repaired or needs the radio replaced?

That was awesome, I needed that.
Can you do a video on how to replace the rear speakers on the same honda?

yo you have a speaker short somewhere. unplug each speaker one by one to find the one with the issue

Take a shot every time he says "trigger"
Anyone knows how to fix the cdc eject thing when u try to use the aux
Great help, thanks!
why didnt you disconnect the battery before any of this was done
It's not necessary
Manual says SRS component locations are located in this area. I would just recommend doing it just to avoid any short that may trigger the air bag.

This dude sounds like Michael Douglas
The places he opened at the start wasn't needed just dash board casing should be opened.
WTH is Honda doing?? Can I just have a normal stereo that can be swapped with a double din FFS!!!
Muy bueni
MY GOODNESS! All that work just to remove the radio
You want all that,or else scum could steal it quick like in old cars..so the more needed the better
gaff205 true... except it costs over 200 dollars for something simple like getting a bulb replaced 😡
Nope.. I'm never removing my stereo.. I'll get a professional to do that and I'll pay him. This is super super risky.
... No q
Bose? lol
