Cleaning Up A JUNK YARD | Part 1
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 жов 2024
- One of the messiest farms to have ever existed. For years, Cornstar Farms has been known as the farm that has a ton of junk. Not any more. Last spring, before my Grandfather passed away, he gave me permission to start cleaning up our farm, which was a junk yard.
I was not going to come out with the video because the footage in this video is from when I first started cleaning up junk. The production quality is not what my videos are now, but I felt my audience needs to understand how far the farm has come the past two years.
Grab some popcorn, sit back, and relax. This video is action packed with time lapses and young Cole talking about what needed to be done to clean up the farm.
Cleaning up the junk yard will be a multi-part series. Be sure to subscribe to keep up with the action. Thank you for watching!

Despite being 21-years old, Cole has an old-fashion work ethic with an innovative approach toward agricultural technology and practices. Cole's mission is to prove the American Dream is not dead and be a megaphone for agricultural education and innovation, from technological advances in farming equipment to conservation practices.

Great you are cleaning up the farm! GO, GO, GO! Good for you! I LOVE clean, too.
Your grandfather had the mindset of his father , during the depression you did not throw anything out, back then everything was valuable and nobody could afford to go out and buy new equipment and materials and being a farmer you also have to be a ( mechanic ,welder, plumber, carpenter, electrician, pest control and God knows what else) , So having all that junk was beneficial .
Most people think farmers just hop into their combines and the farming gets done, but that is far from the truth.
If more people understood this there wouldn't be as many farms going under and lost to subdivisions.
Take care of it and it will feed you , and thousands more.
Nice job buddy. Looking forward to see what you do with the place.
You are quite the motivated young man and your grandfather would be proud of you
It restores my faith in humanity to watch you young man. You are a great role model for others your age. Taking pride in yourself and working hard to get where you want to go. You will go far in life. God has blessed you!
Pat Caruso Thank you!
Pat Caruso: Agreed!
Amen praise Jesus Christ savior of the world and Son of God
You have inspired me to start working on the mess I have. Bless you
I love this young mans ambition and enthusiasm even when he's obviously EXHAUSTED.
The kind of physical exhaustion you get from working hard on your own land and seding the results of your work feels very satisfying. More people should get to experience it.
I’m tired just watching him clean one barn to the next. This kid is one of a kind nowadays. Very impressive. Now I got to clean my own junk! Good job, Cole! I’ll be watching more of your projects.
This guy was definitely raised different. Having great role models and a present and active father definitely helped.
Ha! Who said the younger generation is lazy with no ambition. Lol
This is a true farm kid, with large stars in his eyes. I think he is going to do very well.
Totally agree. Kid is awesome handles ambition with ease and spelled it out clearly
One of the few that appreciate and see what they have and def love seeing how he loves /cares about his family history.
@@rickchristianson3536 He will do very well. Most ambitious young lad I've seen for a long time. Good work ethics too it looks like.
Facts!
Your Grampa is looking down with extreme approval, he would be proud. Excellent job young man!!!
Love your videos
Cole - I gotta say I've been watching "10th Generation Dairy Farmer" - and that kid (about your age) runs a pretty tight dairy farm. Watching this vid - makes me appreciate how you're trying to clean up your grandpas farm and make it reflect you. This vid is great - looking back and the huge task ahead of you; most people can't even keep their garages clean.... I'd say to you good luck - and keep working hard; it'll look good in a few seasons. Cyclone Power!
You could teach a lot of younger folks about responsibility. Good job, proud of you.
Hey Cole the farms really looking good, you are taking great pride in what your grand father left you guys keep up the good work.
Cleaning up the farm is one of the first things I did when the reins were handed over to me. It's always an ongoing process. My motto is "The difference between hoarding and collecting is organization."
Holy moly! I’ve watched some of your more recent videos. You’re an amazing young man Cole! Your work ethic is a beautiful thing!
I never thought I'd be watching a channel on farming but this is really interesting, motivating and entertaining. 😊
So proud of you. You are young, ambitious, and hard working. You grandfather must be smiling down from Heaven. I enjoy your videos.
Doc Brown from Back to the Future called and wants his glasses back. Your clean up efforts are spot on!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Respect to you for cleaning up the mess. Not many 21year olds who take such pride in restoring a farm like you do.
Farms are the lifeblood of America
Once you lose a farm to subdivisions and houses you never get that land back
Farms are part of our national security
Support your local farms
they're good people they're hard workers and we need to keep open space for as long as we can
I moved to Pennsylvania back to where I grew up because I love the area and I love the farms and eating fresh corn and tomatoes and berries and peaches and watermelon and everything from the farm is so wonderful
nothing you can buy in the store comes close to fresh picked farm fruit and vegetables and chickens and eggs and pork and beef
It is truly a blessing to have farm fresh food
Just standing at the farm looking out over the corn makes me feel happy
In the early 2000s I drove by this farm nearby and there was an old farmer sitting out watching his corn grow
Nobody else understood but I understood
I have great respect for farmers
they took out twelve farms this year here in my town and are building million-dollar homes on those farms in subdivisions and it makes me cry
the town's want the farm's gone because they don't make any money from them they don't pay taxes nearly as much as a two million-dollar home pays
No one seems to care anymore about the farms and the farmers
I don't know what's happened to our country
Lefties , globalism ,corrupt officials and myopic humans worshipping the dollar .They cry for the great hoax of climate change and let their back yard go

You could not be more right.
If you got a spare couple million, I'll take it to start a farm so I can make maybe $30,000 a year.
It never ceases to amaze me how so many farmers never throw anything away. When equipment breaks they replace it but don’t get rid of the dead on. You see it all throughout the south. Including homes.
Lol "You never know when I may need a part or something that I can take from it" that's what grandpa & now dad always say
Remember, it costs money to get rid of stuff! Time (on a farm, your time =money), wear on your equipment, or you pay someone else to haul it away, dump fees....

I can’t believe you’re only 21. You move and decide very matured.
Thats amazing cole! Your gonna be so proud when your older and see what you’ve turned your farm into! Truly is a reflection of yourself.
I can't belief your energy in cleaning up, and changing your farm. Very Impressive
A man after my own heart! I HATE CLUTTER AND DISORGANIZATION!! It's looking fabulous!!
You are a hard working young man from IOWA! Outstanding job cleaning up the farm! Love the entertaining, informative videos of life as a farmer.
Your a smart guy to have cleaned up and organized your farm. It only makes for better working conditions and displays pride !
Looking GOOD around there....love to see an old farm be saved.
I commend you for appreciating your inheritance, and for taking on the task of preserving the hard work of your descendants. Today, at your age, you're a hard act to follow. Great video!
I'm SO AMAZED! I watched cleaning the house first, then the heated smaller shed. To see what you'd already done outside is: WOW! you're an incredible young man!
You are the epitome of the American spirit of innovation. If all our young people were like Cole, our future would be assured.
Have you done a video on how the rest of the family feels about the changes? That’d be great.
I love that you have the cleaning and organizing traits. You aren’t afraid to do some work!!!
Wow!! You did an absolute great job on your Grandpa’s farm, he would be so proud you I’m sure. A great way to honour his legacy. Kudos to you and your dad. 👍😁
My uncle convinced me to start watching this channel. I thank him.
I've been after moving outjunk when I can for 15 years and still come across new stuff occasionally. Our grandfather's were a lot alike lol.
I see so many people have said it but I must too! Your grandparents are so proud of you! You are a charming, handsome, incredibly industrious young man. Captivating. Don’t change ! Wish you all the success in life.
BRILLIANT WORKER YOUNG MAN, A CREDIT TO YOUR FAMILY. MICK UK
You were born to do this job son . Young and healthy with the fortitude . Grandpa is happy watching over you . 😊
My Dad is a hoarder and I would love nothing more than to clean up like you are doing!
Joseph Stokes same with my grandpa 🙄
Same! My brother & I already agree that we'll just have an auction house come out & deal with it.
Joseph Stokes my father in law too!
Idk if it’s a common baby boomers problem, or older people. My dad is a serious hoarder too, it drives me crazy!
I think as we grow older we realize more how much the dollar stretches (or doesn't) & natural wisdom comes to play. But each generation from the depression era this is seen less. We're more used to being able to get anything than used to having to picking fields for dandelions just to have a meal a day.
OH MY GOODNESS! I thought the house was a lot of work! Have to say that I’m so proud to see your work ethic & follow through! I’m 68, so just watching this video is tiring! One job at a time. Excellent! ❤️❤️🙏❤️❤️ 👍
Your made to teach. I love your show
Thank you!
Gives me hope to see such a young man working so hard. God bless.
Don't apologize for anything man videos are great and your one hell of character keep up the good work love your videos
I love the farm life! Take me out of the county but you can’t take the country out of me! Your a great guy, awesome worker. If your grandpa could look down from heaven he would be proud!
I take my hat off to you, you are doing a fantastic job.
This young man is a good hard working lad ur going to go a long way in life u should be proud of what u do alot of young ppl could learn from you and the best part about watching u is u make it fun
I am new to this channel and I could not be more impressed with this young man. I am the granddaughter of a revolutionary war soldier that came into the Ohio country and created a settlement and farmed. You are what this country needs..
Total Legend Mate, cleanliness is next to Godliness. You have every reason too feel “on top of the World “ ! Dad must be “proud “ !
I believe that how you live your life reflects on who you are. You have done a marvelous job your grandfather would be so proud of the young man you have become . Great job.
So satisfying to watch. Can wait to see what it looks like when it’s all done
Love your spirit. It takes a lot of will power to decide to fix the stuff our folks may not have been able to. Your grandparents left something for you to improve on. And it looks like they left it in good hands. Keep going. Your only in your 20's and doing so much. When you look back on this time of your life you'll be amazed by how much you did.
This young man is such a Great inspiration for the youth of America !!!🇺🇸 parents must be so proud of what he’s trying to restore his grandfather in heaven watching down so very proud of you I know and your dad and family must be very proud of you too I’ve never seen a young man his age work his butt off may God bless you continue your families legacy sweetie take care and God bless👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️
It feels so good to do projects like this, makes the whole feel of the area more productive
Old farmers never ever threw anything away! My grandmother was one!
I don't know how you came up in my feed but I am hooked and i'm a 57 year old woman!! lol I just love seeing a young person wanting to clean up his family farm and honor his grandfather!! Keep it up!!!
I love your enthusiasm kid. I love watching you get things done!!
The volume of work you’ve undertaken is incredible. I’m overwhelmed just looking at it. Kudos to you and your family.
You're such a hard worker! The farm is starting to look good, love the farmhouse!
Looks like grandpa never threw anything out. Good job ! Turning that into a beautiful farm
You must be so very proud of what you have accomplished
You’re a great grandchild. You’re grandpa looking at you from up above very happy.
It’s amazing that you are taking on the massive task of cleaning that place up. You have a serious amount of ambition. I subscribed just to see your progress and watch a quality individual with an amazing work ethic.
I love your positivity.... your doing a remarkable job there ....
Subscribed because I’m impressed with your work ethic, it’s good to see a hard working young man take responsibility, set goals and achieve them. 💪🏼
Wow such a great job, especially for a 22 year old. The house is beautiful.
NOOOOOOOOOO that building at 9:50 was awesome! I am a grown adult and i think that would have made a cool fort/man cave.
I know right, I said the same thing. Terrible, it was so cool. Repurpose it don't just trash it, so sad.
me too. just broke my heart to watch that come down, it was very nice.
Wow, Cole, you've accomplished so much since you started. It's an amazing transformation, and you're still at it.
way to go young man! Always proud of the American farmers!
Whoa, what a LOT of work Cole !!! Farms do tend to pile up, but I must say, what you're doing to the farm is wonderful. It's a lot cleaner and functional for you. I'm so glad your Grampa told you to make it your own. A lot of farms don't change because people don't feel, in good conscience, they can change anything when the previous family member passes on. They feel, somehow, they're doing a disservice to the deceased loved one, and that they will be hurt by any changes. Your Grampa gave you the gift to make it your own. Great Grampa, great job Cole ♥️
When my grandad passed we had the same thing he wouldn't let us get rid of anything I'm 47 and a 4th generation farmer it took us all winter to haul it out and I still have some stuff that my dad wants to keep it's a lot of work i like your channel good job
I have been binge watching your videos for the last three days for no reason. I love your business savvy and work ethic! You are such an authentic person with a lovely family and beautiful girlfriend. Best wishes and blessings to you and yours, Mr. Cole.
You’re an amazing young man! Great work it will be so fulfilling to look back and see the progress! new generation farmer, new ideals! Great video!!
Martha Stewart would be proud of all the cleaning up you have done up to 2019! Your grandfather was a smart man to instal in you to clean up and change the nickname of a junk farm to a place organized and respected. Things he could not do.Doing him proud! Awesome
By far one of my favorite channels on UA-cam when I'm not hauling corn or soybeans back home for a farmer I'm running over the road for my father always like the content you put up keep up the good work cole
God bless you Cole, you're doing a great job!
2nd nd Vid I've watched , I am impressed as all get out of the time and effort that you are putting into the family farm. Thumbs up to you.
This has been great ! Even the old videos have heart and are great to watch... thanks so much and WE all feel what's going on with a family farm and support it.
Wow sending love from Florida..... waving! Admiring you all from West coast of Florida
This reminds me of a our family friends farm.Really the first farm I ever been on but theirs was 10 times more stuff. KIDS PLAY LAND, IT WAS AWESOME!!
Wow! This is so amazing! You have accomplished so much! Your grandpa would be so proud of you! Keep at it your doing great things!
Would love to visit your farm. My grandpa was from Indiana and his family were farmers. Always loved to visit up that way when I was younger. Thanks for sharing. 😎😎😎
The farm is looking GREAT! Glad to see you have the drive, ambition, and follow thru to get things done and that you have solid plans for the future. Keep up the good work. It was a bit sad to see that round brick structure come down(was that the corn crib you mentioned?) It was a cool building, but I'm sure you wouldn't have taken it down without a good reason. Keep us posted. Thanks! P.S.Still waiting for a guest appearance from Mama C. lol
I was sad to see it go too but it was truly worthless for storing anything.... just not big enough. I think it's main function was a raccoon hotel ! Lol
Just imagine Cole as a girl and u would see me ( poor kid looks just like his mother 😊)
She's not wrong 😂
Should have turned it into a B&B, always save original buildings & put them to use, very sad as it was so unusual
He's making a ton in scrap for sure.
Well done Cornstar Dad! Fine young man you have there!
WTG son.... so proud of your hard work and perseverance on this giant project.... gpa is proud!
Over the years ive seen 2 or 3 family farms that made major transformations when the boys got old enough to take initiative and action. Just as you guys have done. Well done. Your efforts wont go unnoticed. Well done.
Wow! What a huge upgrade just to get rid of old broken stuff.
Impressed with your/family's motivation, organizational skills, work ethic. You're really making a difference in your farms. Wish I had a fraction of your energy! Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your videos. I never really had an interest in farming, but watching your videos has given me a real appreciation of it.
*LOVING* ALL the new stuff coming out! And all the views that u are getting as well👍💯
Rhys Tomney all thanks to God! Thank you. 😇
Way to go Cole, thanks for the trip down memory lane so we know what was.. you are amazing and now this farm is going to be much more functional and hopefully more profitable.
Wow! You've done a great job cleaning it up! Nice work.
It is a lot of work, but it is soooo worth it!
Getting organized, mean you know what you have and you are not spending funds unnecessarily. Great Start!!!!!!
when you said it needed cleaning I didn't think it would be that bad... until you showed the overhead shots. Yup that would drive anyone mad
This is the most industrious young man I've ever seen. I wish I had half the energy this kid has.
Tons of great work cleaning things up. It is looking good. No more Corn Star junk farm. Day to day will be easier for sure. Thanks for sharing.
How can viewers not like these videos. I have watched these videos multiple times. How are awesome.
I can't wait for future episodes!
It's 3:22am and I'm on my 3rd video
Of yours. This one was 14.34 minutes long. And I missed what you were saying about the piles of dirt so I'm going to watch that part again. Watching this guy clean is somehow satisfying.
Thanks
Wow you've been kicking ass!! What a freaking ton of work that place needed! Whew kid you are awesome! Keep up the good work, you are creating your dream young man 👍
