      @@TÜRK_ALP yeah dude if you have an injury like I had in the past with the upper bicep rotator cuff area I would DEFINITELY suggest doing it reverse bcuz of the angle is safer than the regular version. Make sure you do it WITH A SPOTTER/ PARTNER! Bcuz when you get to heavier weights you CANT LIFT THE WEIGHT OFF AND PUT IT BACK ONTO THE RACK SAFELY! Very dangerous 😳

    Heath has won Mr Olympia multiple times, yet Mike looks like a god next to him and is 50+ years old.
    Say what you want but Mike deserves his flowers whilst he is alive; the internet has got soo use to trolling him and this is causing many to ignore the sheer brilliance and longevity of his craft.

    • @Fettman07
      @Fettman07 2 роки тому +10

      One Phil Heath is about as small in this video as I’ve ever seen him, clearly off-season for him right now as far as his stack is concerned. Second Mike is way taller and bigger framed than Phil from the start so he naturally looks big when standing next to him. Third if Phil was juiced up trained up and ready on stage he would not only destroy Mike, he would destroy basically everyone walking the planet right now, save for maybe a half dozen elite individuals.
      Lastly and most importantly Mike ohearn trolls himself. To ask the public to accept his methods as superior, and solely superior without the use of steroids, is a farce and an embarrassment. If he were honest he would garner much more public respect.

      @@Fettman07 I am aware that Heath is clearly off his cycle, but the point I'm making is that Mike literally looks incredible 24/7, 365 days a year, for decades and he is bloody approaching 60. That deserves undying appreciation.
      Also, I guess it's just preference but the Mr Olympia at the heavier categories look awful. Men's classic physique is more aesthetically appealing imo, them other dudes look like juiced up water buffalos.

    One thing both Phil and Mike have in common is Mind Muscle Connection, just like Phil stated in the video. If don't feel the muscles contracting, you aren't going to see much gains. Sure you will get a little pump, but you aren't going to grow much muscle.

    • @Iceman-xe7jo
      @Iceman-xe7jo 2 роки тому +2

      Mind/muscle connection is overrated. It’s translation for bro science. The key is understanding body mechanics. There are many exercises out there that are supposedly for a targeted muscle and in fact are not and are for another muscle. The worst person to get sound advice for exercises are juiced up bodybuilders. The drugs make their physique. It’s not what they are doing.

    • @Kickitwithquan
      @Kickitwithquan 2 роки тому +6

      @@Iceman-xe7jo completely disagree. as a natural lifter mind muscle connection is everything to grow. When a person is on gear it might not matter so much because they can grow muscle lifting anything. When you’re in the gym long enough you’ll realize most ppl on gear half ass their workouts and still see progress.

Certainly not saying I know as much about bodybuilding as Phil Heath, but the type of training he does (Hammer Strength, Cables, etc) has done little to nothing for me. Take triceps- triceps rope does very little for me, whereas my triceps grow significantly from heavy compound lifts, without even doing ‘arms’.

    11:35 Heath takes a shot at Mike … it’s not how much you lift … look at his trophy case … Mike always tries to make his partners look bad by showing off … good for Heath … basically … how many Olympias have you won Mike? Probably the same as your Judo championships

    You can see the "great genetics" of Phil. He's obviously not on much gear, he's down sized. But those "muscle bellies" and small joints are certainly there. Holy shit. He'd look great even if he did all body workouts a few says a week. Genetics, genetics, genetics. It's means EVERYTHING in BBing.

    I like having the strength more than looking strong. It matters more that you can lift the weight rather than looking like you can lift the weight. If a person is trapped under a car or something heavy, and two guys are there to help. One buff looking guy who can't lift it or a not so buff guy who can lift it. The strength will save your life more than the looks apart.

    • @RR42636
      @RR42636 2 роки тому

      Matters more to you. Aesthetics will matter everyday, and will affect your self confidence and a host of other things. If you're training for the imaginary day you need to lift a car then I honestly feel sort of bad for you.

    • @MrMusikaroots
      @MrMusikaroots 2 роки тому

      @@RR42636 well if you're just thinking about looks to boost your self confidence than you need more than weight training and sounds more like a mental problem. Not ssaying you have to be normal looking compared to shredded guys but I'm saying focusing on strength instead of looking aesthetily is what might save you more. Don't try to judge on the car example. Just gave one silly example with the car lifting part so don't limit your brain to just that one example. I can give out another situation but I don't think it will make a difference for you. The idea went way over tour head.
