If you dont have an air gun, just get Black, Grey, and very light almost white grey spray cans. Spray the models all black, 35 degree angle from top to siders like a V of the grey, and then straight down and a little bit at the angles as the light/white grey. You can always over or under do it depending how many shadows you want. After that you can contrasts just fine.
I second rattle cans if you don't have an airbrush. I've had great results doing ultramarines with a black can then primer, then darker blue at a low angle (not fully underneath), and then macragge blue from about 45 degrees on top/side. If you're lazy just do the black and macragge blue and you'll get pretty sweet results too!

Your a brave man having your water and tea cups on the same side and right next to each other... I always put my drink on my left/non-dominant side to avoid mix ups. Top tip. You can have that one for free. Your welcome 🙏

I do approve of any video that is easy to paint that does not require an airbrush
You could do this method without and use rattle cans instead but I personally really enjoy using the airbrush.

Honestly I would have used Grey seer rattle can, as primer, then corax white or wraithbone boom done. The airbrush pants, the brush for details
