The hook I used is a Nelsonwood Crochet Hook "Blue Bird, a Feather & Flower" and can be found here: www.nelsonwood.net/store/p467...
YARN I used: Color B: Deramores Studio Anti-Pilling in Rosemary, Color A: Deramores Studio Baby Soft DK in Coral
Other colors used in larger sample: color B is Rosemary throughout & Color A changes to Stylecraft Special DK in Camdyfloss & Deramores Studio Anti-Pilling in Blush

I recommend using the below hook sizes depending on yarn used:
3 DK yarn : 2.75mm to 4mm
Size 4 Medium/worsted weight: 4.5mm to 5mm.
Mixing 3 & 4 weight: 3.5mm to 4.5mm
THE YARN SIZE: I'm using size 3 yarn, any brand will work as well as any size.
Note on mixing yarn sizes 3 (DK) & Size 4 (Medium Worsted weight): THE TRICK TO MIXING YARN SIZES IS JUST KEEPING YOUR TENSION EVEN AND USING THE SMALLEST SIZE HOOK
RECOMMENDED FOR THE SMALLER YARN! You can use any yarn size you like and can use yarn that is all the same size, you do not have to mix yarn sizes.
PROJECT IDEAS - See Flat or In The Round section depending on how you plan to work:
COLOR CHANGES: If you want to swap colors out as you move up on larger projects I recommend doing so when you start the repeat rows over, change color B when repeating row 3; color A can be changed when repeating row 4, maintain the new colors through row 22.
Working FLAT, Suggested starting chains for various projects - counts include +4 at end:
Baby Blanket: 124 chains
Throw blanket : 164 chains, yarn size will affect total width and the number of repeats is up to you and will determine total length
Tote or Throw Pillow: 64 chains, make 2 and seam together or make 5 and create a cube by seaming together
Makeup or Notions bag: 44 chains, make 2 and seam together adding a zipper; or for a larger option chain 64, make 2 and seam together
Scarf: 24 to 44 chains depending on yarn size used and desired width. I recommend size 3 light weight yarn or smaller for wearables.
Table Runner: 44 to 64 chains (your starting chain is the width of the runner,, you will work the repeats until desired length is achieved)
IN THE ROUND:
Makeup or Notions bag/ Clutch: 60 or 80 chains depending on yarn and hook used
Throw Pillow: 20" to 24": chain 120 for size 4 yarn with 4.5mm hook or 160 chains with DK and 2.75mm to 3.5mm hook
Large Bag/Tote/Pillow: 140 chains for size 4 yarn, 160 chains for DK or smaller with 2.75mm hook

Another awesome one. Yes I'm going to do this and buy it. Great job always.
You are an awesome teacher. Love filling you. Thanks
Wow 😲 that is pretty.
I have decided my Christmas gifts to my 5 grand kids this year are going to be a mosaic blanket each. So I’m going to start on stitch # 1 and work thru to what ever the last stitch will be before Christmas.
Big job ahead of me. I’ll make them as wide as their single beds and 4.5 feet long.
I have been buying lots of Caron cakes on sale. And the accent colour for each child will be their favourite colour.
I have 2 granddaughters and 4 grandsons. But I have made Jackson one already. But as he grows I’ll add to it. I haven’t made a boarder on his blanket. And it fits his cot but is single bed wide.
Thank you so much!! I'm glad you like it! That is such a fantastic idea I love it!! You do have a big job ahead of you but I know they will treasure them even as they grow older! I would love to see pics of how they come out with the cakes you chose! I wish we could share pics here on UA-cam like that in comments.

Hi ! As I absolutly will create a Throw blanket using Size 4 Medium/worsted weight: 4.5mm to 5mm, please could you let me know, how many wool balls I would need. Otherwise, using the exact same yarn as you in your tutorial (they are soooooo beautiful), how many balls should I buy. Many thank's in advance for your answer.
My best guess on yardage for a Throw would be 10 balls of color A, 10 balls of color B (6000 yards). However that's based on how I crochet and we all crochet differently 💙 so creating a 1 repeat swatch and measuring how much you used would give you a more exact figure for the exact size you are wanting to make. This video from another creator walks you through the best way to figure out your exact yardage, you would just need to split the yards between color A & B: ua-cam.com/video/ZM9oEkDI7Ho/v-deo.html
Hope this helps!!!
@@FiberFoxStudios Thank you very much for your kind answer. This help's me a lot. And thank you for all these very detailed and clear video's. I wish you good time and happy day's. Best regards from an austrian "girl", living in Italy
So, once we have done a chain or multiples of 20, we add 4 chain, then, because we skip 1st chain to start our very first row we are left with 23 stich count?
Correct, you will have 1 less stitch than you had starting chains at the end of your first row
Where can I find the double border pattern you discussed?
ua-cam.com/video/Wqa007Q63P0/v-deo.html this is the one I did a tutorial for and it's on my mosaic finishing playlist. You can also search crochet enclosed double border to see if there are others you may like better. Several have just used the concept and done the border as solid color to hide their ends. Hope this helps you!
Hello, how many threads do I need to make a blanket for two people?
3000 to 4000 yards of yarn in size 3 or 4 weight (DK, Aran, Worsted yarns)
I want to do this as a baby blanket. So 124 chains. Once I work across your pattern ending in 2 dbl cr, do I start again with 2 dbl cr (meaning there will be 4 dbl cr) and then continue across? Thanks
I need to know what Row you are referring to so I can answer your question. You work the full repeat on these patterns over and over. So everything after the traditional sc is done over and over. When you finish the repeat you won't have 4dcs together when you start working the repeat over so that is what is confusing me. Let know what Row you are talking about though so I can help you!
@@FiberFoxStudios I am on row 3 at the end of the second repeat (stitch 21),. Do I continue with stitch 2 on the left side of the pattern and then stitch 2 on the right side of your patter (3 dbl cr)?
@@bethhope1422 Row 3 repeat is: 2dc 3sc 2dc 7sc 2dc 3sc 1dc(that's stitch 21 if you are looking at the charts), you start back at stitch 2 so you will end up working 2 more dc's (so you will have 3 total here since your repeat ends with 1dc and starts with 2dc)
@@FiberFoxStudios thanks VERY much!!!
@@bethhope1422 you are so very welcome!!!😁💙🦊
👍🌹
Where can I get the chart for this
