This pattern is worked in a MULTIPLE of 12 + 4. ROW START TIMES PROVIDED BELOW. Inthe round info also below. IN THE ROUND IS WORKED BY ONLY CHAINING IN MULTIPLE OF 12.
TO REPEAT THE DESIGN FOR LARGER PROJECTS YOU WILL WORK ROWS 1 THRU 20 AND THEN WORK ROWS 3 THRU 20 AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WOULD LIKE FOR THE PROJECT YOU CHOOSE. See more info below on working in the round.
COLOR CHANGE: when you work your next repeat you can swap Color A Row 3. You will complete all color A Rows in the new color until you reach row 3 again where you can change color again or continue on.
The CHART for this is in my Etsy shop which you can find here, the PDF includes flat and in the round versions of the design:

PROJECTS:
Suggested starting chains for various projects - counts include +4 at end:
Baby blanket: 124 chains depending on yarn size used
Place mats: 88 chains
Table Runner: 76 chains for total width of table runner, you will then work the repeats to obtain the total length for your table.
Throw blanket : 184 chains
Tote or Throw Pillow: 64 to 100 chains depending on yarn size used and desired size, create 2 and seam together
Makeup or Notions bag: 40 to 52 chains, create 2 and sew together or see in the round info below
Scarf: 40 chains depending on yarn size used and desired width. I recommend size 3 light weight yarn or smaller for garments. work until desired length
Shawl: 88 chains, you are working the total width, and will repeat the design until you reach the desired length
IN THE ROUND- Slip stitch to first chain and you must work into that first stitch following the repeat given in the video IN THE ROUND IS WORKED IN THE MULTIPLE ONLY, YOU DO NOT ADD 4 STITCHES TO CHAIN COUNT:
Makeup or Notions bag/ Clutch: 72 chains
Throw Pillow: 20" to 24" depending on yarn size used, tension and hook: chain 96
Cup Coozie or Candle band: 36 chains using size size 4 yarn is suggested
Bag or Tote: 132 chains for large tote/bag
Treat bags/Mini gift bags: 36 to 48 chains
Cowl: 120 chains
You can create any project you like from Mosaic Crochet, these are just a few suggestions!
HOOK SIZE: I am using a G 4mm hook in this tutorial, this is a Nelsonwood hook, I am not affiliated or sponsored. Please visit the for more info, mine is a Pink Star Flower with Pink Ivory wood ends: www.nelsonwood...
I recommend using the below hook sizes depending on yarn used:
3 DK yarn : 3.25mm to 4.5mm
Size 4 Medium/worsted weight: 4.5mm to 5.5mm.
Mixing 3 & 4 weight: 3.5mm to 4.5mm
THE YARN: I'm using size 3 DK yarn, any brand will work as well as any size. Yarn Bee Sweet Divinity in:
Color A Coral Rodeo
Color B Ocean Breeze
Note on mixing yarn sizes 3 (DK) & Size 4 (Medium Worsted weight): THE TRICK TO MIXING YARN SIZES IS JUST KEEPING YOUR TENSION EVEN AND USING THE SMALLEST SIZE HOOK RECOMMENDED FOR THE SMALLER YARN! You can use any yarn size you like and can use yarn that is all the same size, you do not have to mix yarn sizes.
Project info and starting:
To begin your project you will chain in multiples of 12 plus 4 at the end to work a flat piece. You will skip the first chain and begin working in the second chain from the hook, ending up with an odd number of stitches. EXAMPLE: I chained 40 and had 39 stitches at the end of my first Foundation Row FOR FLAT.
TO WORK IN THE ROUND: chain in multiples of 12 and slip stitch to the first chain. Begin working the repeat in the first stitch [same stitch you slip stitches into] and follow the Repeat as given in the video.

@@FiberFoxStudios Hi Courtney, in all honesty if I were to pay for all your designs that you taught me ( about 6 of them) believed me I’m still in debt with you.
I have to go back in time, to check on them .
Then , I never took the time to read these options so I haven’t say thank you for all those projects and for that I’m sorry 😞
Aweee you don't have to be sorry about anything!!! I'm working on more projects to show and I will be doing some walk through in constrycting different things as well. Hopefully you will enjoy all of those videos as well. You watching and having fun Crocheting these is more than enough for me. I truly appreciate your generosity but please never feel obligated to do so. Just being here and taking your time to talk with me in the comments is all I could ever ask for. Thank YOU!!! 😘😘😘
@@FiberFoxStudios 🥰👌🏼🥰
I just had to stop the video, a couple minutes in to say THANK YOU again! When you mentioned you put all the patterns with the same multiples in a playlist, I may have let out a little squeal. LOL What a brilliant and much appreciated idea! ♥ ♥ ♥ You're the BEST mosaic channel!! Love everything you put out girl!
Awe thank you sooooo much! I've still got some work to do but I will get them all separated out, I've found I need to do some more in certain multiples so I can build good playlists for yall. I'll still keep the main Mosaic Monday Playlist with all of the videos but I'll be adding the video each week to its appropriate multiple playlist too. So happy you like the idea!
So very beautiful! Love your videos and tutorials. You're a great teacher!
🥰😘 thank you!!!!!

Another great pattern I have to try! Thanks so much for the tutorial. I am currently making an african flower blanket but as soon as that's done I will be back to my Christmas projects!
Thank you amd OMG I know I saw!!!!!! I love the colors you chose for it!! And in one of the pics I saw you had them in a little bin keeping them all together as you work..BRILLIANT! I have a granny square project going right now too and now I put mine in a bin so I don't keep losing them or knocking my stacks over lololol
Excelente muy bien explicado. Muchas gracias 😊
Thank you!!!! 💙 😘😘😘😘😘
Yes I made an entire blanket with nothing but your charts and your tutorials and make it even more interesting I used nothing but yarn from the dollar tree I’m gonna need to take a picture of it and send it to Instagram

Hi Cortney another stunning design to add to my list of makes (for the winter) 😉🤗😘
I just found this channel and I'm so excited to learn this. ( I just went to your etsy shop and purchased some charts) I have watched your videos and can't wait to learn this, your tutorials make it look easier than what I thought. So happy you make these videos...Ty 🙏
Awe thank you so much for your sweet compliments and for your support!! You are going to be sooooo shocked how easy it really is!!! I can't wait for you to try and let me know what you think!! 🥰😘
Beautiful!
I love your videos!
Thank you!
🥰😘
Luv your work
Love it! 😍
Your tutorials made me fall in love with mosaic crochet. But I need to ask you, where canI get myself that stunning crochet hook, I have to have one pleaaaaase share. I googled and found some but not something like this.
🥰😘 thank you so much! There is a link in the description for this specific hook, it's from Nelsonwood.net, Pink Star Flower with Pink Ivory wood ends, you can customize the hooks and everything, you pick the wood ends or of you want a metal tip etc. I have some if his full wood hooks too but the flowers line he has is my favorite 😉 😄 😊 check out his ready to ship section too because those are discounted and it updates with new hooks so I check it weekly.
Thank you so much! I love your videos because you go step by step! Is there a way that you can do a reversible?
Thank you!!! 😘😘Do you mean like one that has the pattern on both sides? I'd have to learn it as I've only done overlay Mosaic but I do believe the Crochet Architect has a video on that technique. I really love her technique videos where she teaches a way she has developed to do things differently. When I get some time I'm going to try and learn from her. If it's something you are wanting to learn soon that's who I would recommend.
@@FiberFoxStudios oh ok thank you i was just wondering if you did one like that because you go into detail. But I will look her up
Maravilhoso!!!!😍 Subtitles in portoghese or Spanish please!!!
Yeees plissss spanis
Good morning. I have learnt and done such beautiful projects from your tutorials. Thank you.
Can this pattern not be adapted to start from the short side up?
I'm sure you could adjust it but when I want to pattern to run vertical instead of horizontal I just work my length amd build it out to the width I want.
Thank you so much for this beautiful pattern. Made a table runner. Followed all your instructions.
Had a question regarding this. Can I add a row of sc after the last row just to match both the sides. Since we started this pattern with a base of sc??
Awaiting your reply.
Yes absolutely you can do that!
@@FiberFoxStudios Thank you so much❤. Will do it👍
Hi, I'm very interested in videos on Plaid Christmas tree coasters? Do you have any Christmas videos coming soon?
I haven't started any Christmas stuff yet, but Tinna has done a plaid design, I'm not sure if she has a tutorial or if it's just a paid pattern. Here is her channel link, youtube.com/@TinnaThorudottirThorvaldar
Plaid and a tree all together would probably be best in tapestry, intarsia or a combo of both overlay Mosaic and tapestry. I would look and see if there is anything done in those other techniques. Hope this helps! 🫶🫶🫶💙🦊
@@FiberFoxStudios You are always helpful!TY
In the “project section”…. Should the shawl chain be 88 instead of 84 listed? I’d like to make the shawl.
Yes I forgot the 4 chains on the end of the count! So sorry. I'll fix it now. Thank ypu for catching that and letting me know. 💙💙💙🦊
Thank you so much! I been crochet for years. I have never done mosaic crochet you make it so easy to do. I have one question what weight yarn do you use? I would really like to try it! Thanks again!!!!
Hi!!!!! First thank you so much for taking time to watch amd comment!! I'm happy you enjoyed this tutorial! I use a lot of 3 weight yarns. I think the one I am using in this is classified as a 4 weight but it would be a very light 4 in opinion.
@@FiberFoxStudios Thank you!
Hi fiber fox in the throw blanket it says chain 184 is that the 4 extra chains love please
Yes the counts include the +4. You can always check my counts by subtracting the + stitches and taking that number amd dividing it by the patterns multiple. Example: 184 ( this pattern is a 12+4 multiple ) 184-4=180, now take 180 ÷ 12 = 15. It divides evenly so you know it's correct amd you will have 15 repeats of the design as you work the rows. If it were a number like 15.867445 it would mean that the pattern will be off and you would have an incomplete pattern at the end of your row. Hope that helps you!
Yes it makes sense, thank you love, I think you are very clever at making and designing your blankets I love them
Hi Courtney. Ive been busy making the heart pattern pillow with your Heart Pattern. I was looking at this one not sure if I bought this one. When did this pattern come out? I've stayed off You Tube so I didn't get distracted and want to start another pattern. This is very pretty for a pillow. I don't know if you can see my sales from you if not I just may buy it.lol That's me always shopping. Do you have any sale going or coming up?
Been wondering where you were but I figured you were busy working on that project and I was right! Glad to see you back! Check your etsy messages when you get a moment dear!😘
Just looked in your etsy store, did not see where to purchase the chart set, instead of individual charts
Linked in description of the tutorials. What you are calling individual charts are the chart sets, check out the description on the listing and it will give you more info on how many variations etc are included.
I love watching your tutorials but please can I ask that you go just a little bit faster as its extremely frustrating. I think in order to do mosaic you should be a bit of a seaoned crocheter🤗
Do you know how to speed the video up? If you click the 3 dots in the upper right corner a pop up will come up with a list of things you can adjust and you can change your playback speed to make it faster. Hope that helps!
