Very interesting and informative video. Thank you, Dr. Femi/Tolu and Dr. Hunnay!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very solid points you have raised. While there is a clear disadvantage because of the points you have raised, I believe with the right information and mindset, we can improve our chances. Dr Femi/Tolu 😃please come back. Seriously please do more finance videos like this.
💯 thank you so much

Thank you for watching
you guys are very intelligent and speak nicely. more power to your elbower
Thank you so much
I stand with tolu. The story of ukraine and what some migrants lost taught me a lesson that there is no place like home. Invest in uk and home
You are so right
So interesting and insightful.❤
Glad you enjoyed it
Very brilliant discuss. More of this type of video please
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Honestly, I agree with your husband when he talked about investing back home because realistically, you are living your lives now for baby kitan and her siblings, they are the younger generation that will reap fully from your toils of today. like he said, if you cannot make money in the western world today, I should be able to make money back home tomorrow.
Hmmm! Deep
Very honest video
Thank you 🥰
Almost broke my back running here 😅
Ayye😂😂😂
Great video, a lot of people spend and do not save and invest. Helps getting a high paying position or own company. Becoming skilled. A lot of people investing back home the naira has depreciated so much, for me where I live is mainly where I invest. For me I am invested in property, vanguard index funds and put into my pension 19% due to tax benefits 40% tax payer.
We relocated to the UK in 2001 aged 11 my parents in their 50's, I started property quite young. I bought my first 25% of a property aged 17. I both my first flat aged 25 and first house aged 29.
It is possible, start somewhere and save/invest. Mindset has a big impact.
Thank you for sharing
Many people in their 50's migrate not just to make huge money but to give their kids citizenship abroad n live a more quality lives as they have their investments in Nigeria which they Don need to sell bcos they ve made enough money in their lifetime to migrate n have change. May later move to Nigeria n shuffling the two countries after achieving their citizenship status abroad.
I agree with this
"Delulu" 😹😹😹
Is the solulu!
I agree more with Dr Hunnay in this discussion. Dr Femi/Tolu is more from a sentimental perspective. You can achieve what you want to achieve with dedication and focus. I do not fully agree with investing back home before when we arrived in 2001 £! was 250 naira, now in 2024 it is around 2000 naira. From an emotional perspective and sentiment basis it is good to have a personal home back home etc but where I Live and spend most of my time and life is now my home. I came in 2001 and I have visited Nigeria in 2010 and 2018. Also the younger generation like my nieces and nephews not sure they will want to live in Nigeria if we the parents have been living in the UK for many years.
Thank you for sharing 🥰
You can build a house in Nigeria and rent it out. I hope i make sense
The value of the Naira is currently too unstable for that in my opinion
Yes i agree, however the funds from the rent can cater to family in Nigeria.
Ur husband is very smart
He really is. Thank you 🥰

🥰🥰🥰
Why are the parents relying on the kids why did they not save for old age?
Good question. Unfortunately in a system like Nigeria, sometimes saving for old age isn’t practical and even if it was, the inflation would swallow whatever you think you have saved that is assuming the govt even pays the pension
It's quite common for people to get cheated out of their pensions, and yeah inflation is crazy over here, saving really isn't practical. Better to invest...if you can even afford too
How do invest in ISA?
We use Moneybox
Okay thanks
My own is invest in your children in the abroad, lessons, extra curriculum activities, dont let them take that university loan.
Thank you for sharing
Black people includes the carribean. Obviously the generational divide has skipped you and your husband. My observation.
🥰
Caribbeans and Africans are completely different.Im off Jamaican descent we Jamaicans are mixed with indian and chinese and white. We are not African most African including Nigerians dont like Jamaicans because we are a different race.We are not black we are more European with dark skin.
