Yes it is. He went in the belly of the beast and fought out
@@terintiaflavius3349 and he’s stronger and wiser than ever. He is a true overcomer. He came out of the battle with more than he had going in.
Do you know Jordan Peterson personally?
Thankfully most people understand that within Peterson's work is the acknowledgement that at the end of the day we all human with innumerable flaws and weaknesses, that life will throw horrible things at us; and that it's way easier to get through it all if you have the support of family, friends, and community. That should any of us fall down, that there can be a helping hand to bring you back up.
Jordan has given so many people a helping hand without ever seeing their faces, and seems only right that the favor be returned when the opportunity arises no?
This man puts his reputation and life under scrutiny everytime and never shys away from anything. That's true courage and honesty.
Don't make him right though.
@@assaqwwqthats up to you. I believe he is.
@@natureisallpowerful not up to me. Not up to you. It's not true because it's not true.
Also, if you don't mind, search up the last wisecrack episode where they talk about Jordan talking about philosophy. Not asking you to change your mind. Just maybe a different perspective.
Giving PROFESSOR Peterson an complete hearing before making an judgment about his dialogue does not make his right.
@@assaqwwq I meant it's up to you what you believe. I'll have a look at your suggestion. I'm open minded enough to see another view or opinion and possibly change my views on things if it doesn't sit right. I like what he stands for and don't really need to go down a rabbit hole unless I'm unsure about something 👍
This is the interview of a lifetime. Congratulations to Piers Morgan. I didn't think he had it in him to listen more than he talked. Great advice from his son, really.
I know, right? Piers did well. A few times he started out framing things poorly, but cut it out and listened when JBP came back with a different direction, and more considered take. For example when Piers made a casual dismissive intro to incels, and JBP moved quickly past the label to offer his very moving thoughts on demoralization and encouragement.
Piers loves free speech so much that he spends most of his air time trying to shout down anyone he disagrees with . Usually without rhyme , reason or logic .
The interview we did with Peter Robinson at the Hoover institute was really really good
Agreed
😂😂😂
The fact that Dr Peterson is willing to allow himself become emotional in front of the entire world despite the mockery he gets for it by the people seeking to destroy him shows you exactly why he can be trusted.
Those people who refuse to let themself be vulnerable and choose instead to become angry and irrational when challenged are the people you need to watch out for. Rather than be genuine and vulnerable, they throw insults and disrespect others. Its the purest demonstration of their malicious intentions. They want to be seen as powerful, while demonstrating their weakness. Peterson shows his weakness, and it makes him powerful
He does it every time he always balls his eyes out. Unless he's kept on the back foot.
Yes heart is on the sleeve

I started tearing up at the end. I dont understand how people can be so hateful towards a man who is simply trying to help those in need and humanity as a whole. You can see how it hurts him, to see how much people are struggling. As a person who's dealt with a large amount of struggles (specifically with mental health) many of his comments have hit home and I can understand completely what he's saying. People these days are so full of hate.
Well said ❤
People are very quick to anger these days, I feel a lot of empathy for him.
In my experience, I have seen two different sides of him. I briefly saw him giving solid advice for living a good life and it looked pretty sound to me. However, there is another side where he weighs in on religion and some philosophy. There are the discussions with Matt dillahunty and Sam Harris. I think there might be a tendency among people who already like Jordan Peterson to take his side or see the arguments that he is making as logical, but most of what he said in those debates come off as posturing and he does this thing where he tries to redefine already existing terms. For example, not in those two discussions, in another video where he is at the university that he taught, he is telling a student something like religion is whatever is important to you. So if sports are important to you, then sports are your religion. Of course we know that sports are not a religion. On the other hand we do use the word religion for non-religious things exactly as how he said, except the context of the discussion was about religion. So it seems like he adds this sophistry in order to either intentionally or unintentionally dodge the discussion. That's my early morning take on it. :-)
@@SemiPerfectDark I am an JP fanboy but I think that sometimes his thoughts about religions are not solid
I like the guy and find him an important presence in the public forum. But I do disagree with a fair amount of his statements. You need to be realistic - an unspoken motivation for Jordan is because his schtick has enriched him. He charges A LOT of money to show up for talks, Q&A’s and to appear on people’s podcasts.
I am so impressed with the both of you. Pleasant dialogue. I am a mother of 2. Enzo 25 and Sofia 17.
It touched me Jordan’s words and emotional reaction to what young men are going through. I am living this with my Son and all I can do is to remind him how amazing and loving he is…. Thank you

First time that happend to me was at my job at age 23, because I had done 3h "overtime" helping a collegue. I still remeber it as if it was yesterday. Remarkable man.

Absolutely.
If only we all could be.
No one will give a shit when you die...
People arent ready to hear the truth from him. Its such a shame.
44:12 I actually noticed Piers' improvement with listening throughout this interview. Not having him constantly interrupt has made this interview more enjoyable. Well done Piers!
Piers only listens to people who genuinely respect
That's not a great way to go about life. Remember Peterson's rule number 9: Assume the person you are listening to might know something you don't. If you only listen to people you "respect" then you're losing out on a lot of potential nuggets of knowledge
I thought that myself. It was refreshing for a change.
He does tend to be a terrible listener in most of his interviews, often interrupting and talking over people when he doesn't agree with them. I hope he keeps working on this, as he did in this interview. I am working on the same thing: listening better and actually hearing and understanding what someone is saying before answering.
@@GodBlade132 Clearly the respect someone gains from you depends on what they've said. If you talk nonsense, you've proven yourself unworthy of respect, which means you're not worth listening to. Don't need a guru to explain that. In this interview (not 'debate' as written in the title), Mr Morgan begins by explaining that he has watched many of Mr Peterson's videos, and obviously that is why Mr Morgan has gained respect for Mr Peterson, meaning he sees no need to interrupt, to point out nonsense, hypocrisy, etc.
The way he cracks up at the end, I've never felt more empathy in a UA-cam video. The man truly cares, and what the world is doing to him in return is very very sad.
There’s also tons of comments of people saying he’s saved their life! I’m sure he knows his work is worth it in the end
The fact that Piers Morgan left a job rather than say something he doesn't mean gives me way more respect for the guy
Used to dispise him until I heard that line today…. Mad respect! More than most Americans who bent the knee of the vaccine. Talk about wild - a Brit showing more spine against a tyrannical demand than most Americans. 🤯

@@thryronginverse399 Worse than...? You have to apply context else your statement doesn't make any sense. Worse than needing this loon as a father figure? No... not quite. Jordan Peterson is a sham who found that by making videos on hot-button issues he can make money off of idiotic folks who think someone who talks smoothly must be smart. His ideas would see women reduced to the roles they had back in the 40's. If that's your kind of thing then you need a lot more help than I would have initially guessed.

My wife is a loving, kind, and dedicated clinical psychologist. She truly cares for her clients and feels their pain. My wife has made those EXACT tears in my home. You may not agree with him, but you can not deny him.
Your wife sounds like a beautiful soul; as do you in seeing and feeling her. May you have many moons more together - thank you for sharing this 🙏🏼🥰😊
That was exactly my feeling. If seeing that doesn’t upset you, you’re not really seeing it. I feel for Dr. Peterson, but his manner was perfectly justified and correct.
I'm positive your support makes her tears a little less painful. ❤
I have a very warmhearted and kind friend, who after working as a clinical psychoterapist for 6 months, him self had to check into a mentalhospital because of all the sadness encountered.

Your wife seems like she is well suited to her career. So many men and women just need someone to hear their pain. This is especially true for men. Society seems to think men are not allowed "feelings". Thank you for sharing. Please give her the extra hugs she will need to cope with the burden of caring for others.

Dear Piers
I am a 64 year old (going on 65) former (retired) clinical psychologist. I have a degree in philosophy, and I am a student of the history and philosophy of science and political ideology. Jordan Peterson is a breath of fresh ideological air. He speaks in a direct, straightforward, and clear manner, and he connects intellectual dots with clarity, courage, and vigor. Your interview was a triumph of freedom and the commitment to the open consideration of ideas and personalities that we so desperately need in the West. It is thus an antidote to cancelism, cynicism, and intellectual chicanery. Thank you for this bulwark against tyranny, petulance, and misery. God Bless you and God Save The King.
I can't speak for Piers, but that's a well written and excellent post, in my humble opinion.

Jordan Peterson is one of the biggest reasons I still have faith in the community as a whole. Seeing the amount of following this man has proves to me there's still more than enough people who want justice and REAL equality. Jordan Peterson is able to bring forward this view in perfect wording which no one else can do the same and with the same effectiveness. He's a man who stands for his own ideas but is not narrow minded towards others. This, for me, is the epitome of balance between compassion and personal beliefs. We support you, Mr. Peterson! They technically did censor themselves enough to not have the video brought down. I'll be honest though, it didn't feel censored.
Piers, so glad to see you interviewing Peterson in this manner. You have won the respect of people around the world, most of whom until this point may have not had the opportunity to know your program. Well done indeed!
Thank you Piers for the gift you gave your son by “listening”, (as you, of course, do, just differently here) and ultimately generating an incredible interview with Jordan. This was beautiful.
As I was listening I was wondering why Piers was doing more listening than talking than he usually does and he gave us the answer. This was a great interview.

Best interview Morgan has ever done . Mainly because he let Peterson talk.
Jordan is such a pure soul, he just radiates good energy, he genuinely cares about people, much love to him 💜 and Piers, first interview ive sat through where you actually interviewed and listened
Hah! Well a pure soul isn’t something I’d say he is, but that’s because of one of the messages he gave on “hero’s aren’t harmless they’re virtuous.” But since I like him just that much! I am willing to ironically say that he is a very pure man!
@@Kirs.. what is your definition of pure? Merely curious. Not trying to wind you up or take a piss about what you’re saying I’m just very curious. I personally think anyone whom has been through their own shit and come out the other end a bit better of a person as pure.
Towards the end piers couldn’t help himself but rush JP
@@HalfChubChaw
Well hah that’s a bit complicated because pure can mean different things in different contexts to me of course.
But in this context, calling Peterson’s soul “pure” is to me an overstatement.
Peterson one time made a great example along the lines of ‘hero’s must me monster, but a controlled monster” And relates that as having virtue.
While others may think that hero’s are actually just harmless (which to me, in this context, I relate to being pure), like rabbits. All they can do is just run around get eaten, they can’t be virtuous.
That what I meant. Peterson isn’t a harmless man, he’s honestly quite dangerous and powerful of a man. But he uses that power for what he believes is good, and what is true. Which I absolutely admire about him.

But also your definition is something I massively agree with as well!!! Hah!!

As a woman I’m proud to stand with him… God bless…💕🇨🇦
He cries a lot in fact, it's one of his strong points ;-)
It's an incredibly crushing weight to have the thought's he's having in that moment. The knowledge about a very real reality that happens every day: That people abandon their lives, not only because they've been abandoned; but because they're actively being called worthless or a straight up detriment to everyone around them, and that the requirement to save these people is just the tiniest gesture of kindness.
There's so many people dying of emotional starvation, and what do you see? People who claim to be caring and empathetic spitting upon them. Salt upon the proverbial wound.
I think Peterson views what he does as a powerful blessing and a curse, to know that he's saved so many people by doing so little for them. Saving people that he's never met, not knowing a single thing about them; yet they come to him and thank him for their lives. It's a devastating realization to think about how many people slip through the cracks, which these days are more like impassable chasms.
He's been trying so hard to put into words the horrible state of things for young people, and it simply might be impossible to do so; because you'd need so much time to unpack all the lines of attack on people's minds, hearts, and souls. It can't be summed up with "Oh it's just social media" or "Oh it's just politics" or "Oh it's just the culture war" or "It's just economics" because there's so many factors at play that have devastated multiple generations of people. That if the smartest people in society today can't describe and deconstruct the problem, then what hope do the people living it have?
Disaffected young men, along with tears - thank you both for one of the BEST conversations ever.

This is not nearly one of the best interviews of JDP. Piers certainly did not bring out the best and most important aspects and advice that Jordan has to offer the world. He showed as he often does, an inability to fully listen on several occasions by starting to ask another question a few seconds before Jordan had finished fully answering his previous one. Plus Piers still has now as he has always shown, a mightily self inflated ego, which was particularly highlighted on this occasion when he offered Jordan the chance to stroke that ego by basically asking ..'so what do you think of me' ..not a good question from a serious interviewer!
