"Brother Armus." "Yes, Sergeant Mandalon?" "We need to appease the Machine Spirit. Retrieve the Holy oils." "Affirmative; collecting the Jerreios Canister at once!"
OH WOW! I haven't seen the ol' "Box" Hunter-Killer since... Well... Second Edition! My old Second Edition (Pre 'White Metal' in fact) half-plastic-half-metal 'Predator Annihilator' kit came with one just like that!
Love this conversion! Missed your videos, glad that there is new content up. You've done a great job on this and I can't wait to see what else you've got in the pipeline, keep it coming, I love the style and aesthetic you bring.
It does make me chuckle when you said the dome turret doesn't fit space marines considering that it's a throwback to the very first plastic predator kit
Another use for modelling putty (mostly with historical tanks) is mixing it with some plastic glue, then stippling it onto a surface you want to look like a rough cast metal texture, it looks best for the turret chasis or armour plates as historically these were cast from one piece
Love the conversion; it looks absolutely fantastic! The flipped ring was a really good idea. Wish I'd tried it on my own conversions; would have saved a lot of grief lol. And if things still feel a bit too high, remember: stowage and improvised armor (e.g., sandbags) hides all. Definitely want to get some ERA for my Renegades now; it really added to the look! Speaking of Deimos conversions, I recently used the Rhino for a tracked Gladiator and i ended up being a fairly painless conversion! Just build the Rhino (sans weapons and exhaust - the latter can be added after conversion wherever they won't obstruct), clip away the Gladiator's upper hull until you only have the "box" that contains the turret ring, adjust as needed to fit the Rhino's rear roof (leaving room for the two hatches at the front), and make the Gladiator turret as recommended. It only needs a bit of gap filling and, if you're big on WYSIWYG, you can slot in weapons as needed (e.g. using pintle guns to stand in for the sponsons or using the missile array to stand in for the dual fragstorm launchers).
This is really good. I have actually been doing something similar as well. A Super Predator that combines different Rhino Chassis kits together into one. The front dozer blade of a vindicator, it's additional Armour and the turret of a predator that I've added additonal armour made from sprue pieces. I wish I had some of that old additonal armour parts that were on forgeworld a long time ago and a Hunter/Stalker kit for the stabilizer drivers on the sides. What I'm missing is a front hull piece from the SoB's Castigator Tank that has a slot for a hull mounted bolter that actually matches up nicely with the gap in the vindicator's dozer blade for the intended mortor cannon.
Very nice conversion on this kit. Came out nice. The missle is the old AM one from Chimera and Leman Russ kits. Edit: cheeky plug... I have something similar coming out soon!
Ah man the storm bolters are an awesome idea, ive been struggling to deal with fitting missiles, storm bolters, turrets etc without it looking so crowded.
I don't think its possible to take a 30k firstborn tank and primarisize it without turning it into a grav tank, but grav tanks are lame so not the worst thing :) This is really cool and uniqe! And re: cheaper ERA blocks. They look like a perfect candidate for recasting in blue stuff!
I never thought to put ERA bricks on a predator, but I think it fits perfectly for Space Marines

"Brother, don't forget the most holy WD-40.000"
Mate! This came out looking amazing! Very nice kitbashing work and I really enjoyed seeing it come together. Great painting too!

The bolter integration is slick
Just found your channel and I have now watched all your videos. Absolutely love your content, and watching it while I do my own conversions
The HK is from OLD 40K 90's tank upgrades sprue

The missile come from the old old old vindicator kit.
It might be from the old old old SM tanks in general. I got one (and other IG tank bits) from a Razorback kit from 1998.
All your kitbashs are amazing and I'm looking forward to what you do next.

As was the front plate he didn't like. I still have my old predator.
Nah this conversation is cold its simple yet does so much great job

Thanks for the tips Brother, I’ll try to keep them in mind for next time:)
I spot the difference and no, it's never too youn...soon I mean soon.

The Hunter Killer is from the old old Imperial Vehicle Accessory Sprue from 2nd edition. Great conversion by the way!

Omnissiah Bless ERA
You should try kitbashing/converting the stormbird transport into something cooler looking/alternate use
Awww yeah! That's that good shit!
Such a smooth conversion too
That is such a cool predator
👍 thanks for sharing 👍🍻
this is awesome
Very nice!
Dude. Awesome!
good video. I have not watched it yet
edit: have watched, opinion unchanged
What are these miliput molds for rivets you keep using?

Get the turret recast
I hate how you hacked up the turret.
Otherwise cool conversion.
It is not a mk 4 it is a mk 2 upgrade kit
Making it more epic: easy. Just put it in a Legiones game army. ;)
