Baal Predator for me, it's just reliable and cheap for what it is. 125 pts for a metal box that is not easy to kill, is a big overwatch threat and essentially can move 15" everywhere. Also whilst you say it doesn't hit well into tougher targets, if you have something like a thunderstrike for +1 to wound, than those flame weapons can be powerful into similar medium style tanks as they will auto-hit with like 5-6 shots, which can spike to 9 shots, wound on 4s and hit with AP2, ignores cover (so basically the same as a lascannon into cover) so you'll trouble other predator like tanks or transports pretty easily. Can be even more threatening in Firestorm as your main gun will go to S7 and the side flamers S6, so with the +1 to wound you will pump a lot of saves onto even big tough targets. I've played two Baals and a LRR in Firestorm with a thunderstrike and that has been basically enough anti-tank, like 3D6+9 auto-hitting, AP2, ignores cover, D2 shots that are wounding on 4s is not something any vehicles wants. I also like the Pred destructor a lot, it's just a cheap platform that is pretty decent against most things, couple of lascannons to plink away at other tanks and monsters, and just weight of fire against elite infantry. A couple of those for 260 pts is very cheap fire support for 4 lascannons, 12 auto-cannons and 2 hunter killers.
holy crap my blood angels friend unleashed 2 baal predators against me and i legit couldnt go 18" near him or i'd be toasted. I have a heaaalthy fear/respect for the baal pred. It made me turn my attention to the most similar unit available to me, the Land Raider Redeemer.
I dont own a Lancer, so the Annihilator has been my main workhorse for anti tank (along with some fire strike servo turrets) for my BT. Ive got a rep-ex I have to paint up and that could be great but I love the predator tanks a lot. Have two of em, magnetized for each option. The destructor with lascannons sounds like a fun thought too, tho the heavy bolters really feel nice to shoot into infantry
I still sporting my 2nd edition predator annihilator. Served in blood angles in 2nd to 5th edition, and now serves in the Ultramarines in 10th. I do want to pick a Lancer. Just haven’t gotten one yet. Thanks for video.
Are these 'abilities' from Games Workshop for 10th edition? Also the Predator Tank Auto cannon in Warhammer 30K had 4 shots not "D3 shots" as it did in earlier editions.

Most iconic eh? Leman Russ would like to have a word
'most iconic tank I haven't already covered yet' didn't have the same ring 😉

@@TacticalTortoise For me, the Predator is more iconic so... :D
The Sororitas also have a Predator. They don't call it that, but still...
If legends are allowed. Predator infirnus in firestorm.

Baal predator lancer or legends?
Ya I agree
No mention of the castigator??
That's of the Adepta Sororitas, not Space Marines.
you should watch this video ua-cam.com/video/gCY1nE3GiSc/v-deo.html

Tanks for the memories 😂
I wouldnt call it the most iconic tank. In space marines land raiders are more icinic.
Land Raiders look cool, but their exposed tracks make them vulnerable.
5:44 what do you mean out volume an armour save? I thought ap-1 with cover was just auto pass all armour saves.
I don't actually think it's possible to fail a 3+ save like on a 6 sided dice what's the chance of rolling a 1 or 2? Let's be real
AP1 and cover mostly just cancel out; putting the target on whatever their base save is.
@@TacticalTortoise really good against save 4 with a 4 up inv lmao just to label an annoying defensive profile.
