light whips to siths: it’s amazing
light whips to me: *suicidal skipping rope*
haha
Exactly my thoughts!
Hell yeah!
You’re very smart
And then there is Cals lightsaber that's optionally double-ended and splits in half to wield as duel lightsabers
@Kyler Woods It is an ability unlocked later in the game
Incase you didn’t know, asajj Ventress’s curved lightsabers can connect into a semi s shaped curved double bladed lightsaber
starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Asajj_Ventress%27s_lightsabers
I like those types of sabers.
Cool!!!
Asajj Ventress' lightsaber could do that as well
Fun fact about the dark saber, it’s shorter length is what allows it to be effectively wielded by non force sensitives. The same could be said of yoda’s lightsaber as well.
Sabine Wren Welded The Dark Sabre For A Time
True but Yoda’a has a shorter hold which balances it out likely keeping it quite difficult for a non-force sensitive to wield.
T.J. Armendariz not at all. In the E.U there was a group of non sensitive nobles called the Saber takes that wore ornamental “off brand light sabers with blades the same length
Lord Narasimha yes, but what the saber rakes used were almost always not actual lightsabers, but were less efficient as they didn’t require the force to craft, as such they were less powerful and likely easier to use, Yoda‘a on the other hands is shorter in length of blade Ab holy, containing the usual power concentration and so would likely not be any easier than a normal lightsaber to wield.
T.J. Armendariz you aren’t quite right. As far as dimensions for the hilt and the blade, the blades of the saber rakes were roughly the same as yoda’s as they were purely one-handed weapons.
Secondly the sabers used by the rakes were inferior only in the quality of crystals they used.
Thirdly lightsabers did not have to be constructed using or with the force. There was an imperial faction in the time of Darth Krayt that had its guards wearing red armor and wielding mass produced sabers all with silver crystals. They were issued out the same way the army issues rifles.
Light whip just seems like an accident waiting to happen
Unless you're Indiana Jones.
Miles Jacob well they have the force so I’m sure they can control it bc that’s what I would do is control it using the force from getting close to my body
Sarcasm?:Which is why only a filthy dex build could effectively use it
Miles Jacob no cap that's what I thought lol
Lightsabers wielded by their owners cant hurt themselves with it. They fuse it with their force power to prevent such things like cutting yourself from ever happening.
Ezra's light saber had a gun. The force told him to build a gun in it.
Does that make Ezra American or the Force?
He built a nonleatal gun . pretty much it's useless
Except for capturing
Nah Ezra is just from the hood.
The force knew hes need to go gangsta every now and then
Wasn't Dooku's lightsaber a curved hilt as well?
Yup.
Yeah but banes is also almost weightless
@@lsufan6981 And depending if you go by Legends or "Canon", Dooku's Lightsaber wasn't always Curved.
Wasn’t ventress’s lightsaber curved
No..
Light whips sound like a really stupid idea.
why do you say that?
@@momkymmann6553 Most of whip tricks are made by touching the whip itself or havin it close to your own body, can you picture what would happen if u tried to use a ligjht whip now?
And how do you carry them? What kind of sheath do you use? You cant just be jumping and flipping around with 10ft of saber flailing about! And, youd never be able to swing Indiana Jones style across a chasm.. not when your whip melts through everything.
Lightsaber Whips = Bad Idea
They're kinda are. Its as deadly to the wielder as it to their enemies. It's like the Kamikaze of light sabers.
@@luizfelipe2389 they where used In the clone wars
i loved Tenel Ka Djo's lightsaber from Legends. she carved the hilt out of a rancor tooth and used Gallinorean rainbow gems for her energy crystals, which produced a beautiful turquoise blade
I like Darth Banes saber. It is a curved hilt that is practically weightless
Edward Jacks l Think it was weightless because magic or something like that
Same!
It's my favourite
Aren't all lightsabers weightless? That being why it's so dangerous for a non force user to use them?
@@bemotivated8443 it was considered weightless bc of the shape of it and the way it fit in the user's hand as well. Also, it had a rare naturally made red lightsaber crystal originally until the Sith Lord Qordis gave him a synthetic red lightsaber crystal.
I actually like, in Clone Wars, the lightsaber with a wooden grip that was constructed by the Wookiee youngling. It really leans into the idea that Force sensitive Wookiees are rare, so it makes sense that he make a lightsaber that was just as unique so he could hold his own in those pesky droid attacks.
Also in Jedi Fallen Order, I usually go with the Magus emitters that kind of resemble a metal cross guard or a mage staff. I like fantasy stuff like that.
Didn't they have light whips during the Slaves of Zygerria arch of clone wars? They just didn't cut stuff
Bomani Kernizan I think those were only electro whips
There not lightwhips they are much much weaker
They didn’t use the crystals, it’s just a bunch of electricity in a whip form.
- yes there was
L I L S P L I F F no, those weren’t real light whips
My mom has a broken lightsaber that just vibrates instead of turning on
Why do you know this about your mom?
It's a double ended light saber
Sooty *tyrone*
bruh i bet its a curved hilt too
Umm sorry but why the fuck do you know this about your mom
*noone in cannon has used a light whip*
Kannan jarus in that one rebels episode: Cha Cha Real smooth
Soviet Russian Mapper Also the Zygerian slavers
Mars 40 that was an electro whip
Which episode
@@croissantgaming2890 cant remember but it was for sure in Season 4 of rebels
The curvature of Darth Bane's lightsaber also allowed him to change his angle of attacks slightly that gave him a unique dueling style.
And don't forget Corran Horn's dual phased lightsaber which at a twist brought a 2nd set of crystals into alignment that extended the blade to 3 meters
According to the fanart a light whip also needed *prominent breast* and a outfit with _Bondage overtones_ to wield properly.
Or maybe that was part of the technique, distracting sexually repressed Jedi so they can't focus on the Force as well.
As for using a light whip, it's defensive shortcomings can be compensated for by using a Lightsaber in the off hand for defense (and to give your opponent something else to worry about you attacking with), or a hand held force shield, a suprisingly underutilized weapon considering it could not only block lightsabers and blasters, but also Force Lightning. Shields are very practical in melee combat - and in Star Wars are also effective against ranged weapons, especially using Force sensitivity to predict attacks.
I'm sure a force shield could be modified to have sexual overtones to fit into the character concept.
Clever! I see what u did there. N i like it. Its not a bad thing. SW could use a lil more sexiness!
Damn
Excuse me, but where are Maris Brood’s lightsaber tonfas?
Ah, the guard shoto... a personal favorite!
It’s the guards shadow.
Is she from the force unleashed? The girl wearing that revealing bra thing with long hilts and handles coming off the sides?
Yep, that’s Maris. Quite a badass-looking Sith.
@@bunnylegion3969 yeah, I remember her from the force unleashed. She's quite cool, and even shaak ti's apprentice
I quite like Ezra Bridger's first lightsaber, which had the ability to fire stun bolts as a pistol, and Cal Kestis's final lightsaber in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which could function as a saberstaff with either 1 or 2 blades ignited or as 2 separate lightsabers. Not the first saberstaff to be able to split into 2 standard sabers (Asajj Ventress had something similar - 2 sabers that could join at the pommels to form a saberstaff) but my favourite example of it.
agree with all but with ezra's lighsaber - that sh*t was bulky and should be hard to use - besides, it's a toon in which they only allowed stun capabilities as pistol (the argument is a jedi way goes to the ground when the blade of the same weapon is one of the most deadliest out there)
Legends/EU is so intresting. But I dont know where to start lol. I've been reading the wiki and my god, Luke and Mara, The Solo children. Disney had so much source materials that they could use.
I think the fact that the Darksaber makes you a huge target to others perfectly and appropriately reflects the ways of the Sith: You only wield the Darksaber if you’re truly worthy and no one else can take it from you.
My mother has a special lightsaber under her bed
She's a star wars fan? Cool mom you got there
@@enochfeng3233 uhh sure
Jeffy Weffy UUHHHHHHHHH THATS NOT a Light s ab er.....
@@tallenrodriguez342 it is
Ouch... Very dangerous for the user as well as the opponent I'm guessing...its uh
... One of those sabers that combine VIBROblade tech with Lightsaber tech right? Pretty wicked!😈 Yer mom is the coolest😎, i wouldn't mind play dueling her!😉👌👍
Darth Banes Lightsaber looks like a vibrator...
The fuck why did I not think of that
The curved-hilt lightsaber is one of my favorites because it’s so unique and elegant
Yes it an elegant weapon for a more civilized age.
@@Dark-wv7eh literally any era before the Rise of the Empire era 😬
Don't forget excellent in duels
moudei proh yes, it’s more powerful than other lightsabers in combat due to its unique angle
Agreed
Since the time of Lumiya’s introduction of the weapon in Marvel Comics decades ago, I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of the Lightwhip or Lightlash. I don’t think it was ever used to its full potential by writers, however. I could see this weapon being nearly undefeatable by anyone with a lesser weapon if weilded by a true master of the Force. A Master of sufficient skill with the Force could, theoretically, stand in place and wield the Lightlash’s energy telekinetically providing a 360 degree arc of attack and defense. The lash being a plasma/photonic energy field would then, again theoretically, be moved with the speed of thought since the Lightlash’s energy fields are compelely weightless and non-material in nature.
This would put a lightsaber wielder at a terrible disadvantage in that, even at Force enhanced speeds, even a Master of the Force couldn’t move fast enough to deflect a Force manipulated Lightlash with a lightsaber indefinitely. They’d have to use Tutaminis or a Force shield to defend themselves, both completely defensive powers that require much concentration. A Lightlash could then be considered a form of Force energy manipulation like Force Lightning in its effect.
Lightsaber hilts looking more like sextoys these days
I thought the same thing about vapes. Buncha hipsters smoking vibrators
Bruh. Darth Maul be popular with dem ladies
Bro the thumbnail had me thinking the same thing.
Well... all that spent up emotion... least for Jedi.
Double purpose
One for killing
At night for intimate action
Dark saber is my favorite of these but of all I would want a lightsaber of the jedi temple guards
I’d want a Tythian Lightsaber. It has a hilt tip that extends when activated, and creates a small explosion when ignited.
But if you want the one from rebels, I can understand. Kickass switchblade type.
2:58 seconds in so idk if it’s already been mentioned but Exar Kun’s saber. A one handed double bladed light saber.
And earth Vader’s dual phase light saber, was able to play with blade length mid duel to throw off an opponent’s timing and sense of range
Ye ikr
Exar kun also had a dual phase lightsaber.
Congrats on 1,000,000 subs Wave
You see those warriors from Hammerfell? They've got curved swords. Curved. Swords.
What about ezra's original lightsaber from rebels
That’s not a lightsaber or unique. It’s a protosaber that was used by every jedi before lightsabers were invented.
@@Chriscraft-ug3sz Was that the one he built? It was disguised as a blaster.
Chriscraft6190 uhm...no, that wasn’t a protosaber. A protosaber came with a big back pack which it was connected to. The Jedi carries the pack on their back to fuel the protosaber’s energy. The first ever weapon a Jedi uses is a lightsaber. So I have no idea what you’re talking about, what Ezra built WAS a lightsaber lol
Kylester 005 no Ezra had a blaster that had a lightsaber crystal in which I’m pretty sure he made 🤷♂️
@@jakflyr I mean...I think you are both saying the same thing in different ways... he made the lightsaber, and made it with the ability to be used as a blaster as well...
7:03 sounds like the Elder Wand in Harry Potter
Great content love your channel man
Interesting, cool video. I especially enjoyed the Bane sabre also. Thanks
I still, to this day, love the curved lightsaber-with the one Kylo Ren uses a close second. The way you have to fight with it (like a fencer would) is also interesting. Probably why Count Dooku is my favorite Sith.
I'd take a green-bladed standard Lightsaber any day, I'd just train myself to handle opponents that wielded those ligthsabers
A man of your direct tact could make a fine Blademaster...
how do you train against something that no one you know has fought to teach you how to beat it
@@lifeispain404 wing it I guess

how to turn Jedi to the dark side:
flex on them
Awesome. I love the Bane trilogy. It's my absolute favorite SWEU story.
The dark saber is extremely unique in every way except for the fact that it is black I want all to know it is one of three black bladed sabers the other two unnamed one looks like a normal light saber just with a black blade the other is a duel bladed saber with one end with and the other black the dark saber is unique in shape and hilt not to mention the extra electric aspects that it contains even for non force users. (edit these are from legends for all you cannon fanatics(
the dark saber is build like a sword, with a straigh line blade with a small curve at the end, but not rounded like regular lighsabers. everybody looks at it as fantastic, i find the concept very weak an out of context of the SWU. It's alsmost like a renascence sword (like a cutlass or a venitian Falchion) but without the handguards... totatally atypical and with no context with the universe. The same concept but in a blade shape like other lightsabers would have more allure in my oppinion; and context inside Star Wars
Warb Nulls' lightsaber is superior in every way, period.
He didn't get enough love in the TotJ comics. He could've honestly became the Darth Malgus of his era had the plot not required Ulic to just ducking lop my dude's head off...
@@blackshogun272 thats ducked man I don't get why anyone would ducking do that.
In a Starwars D20 game i played a rare Trandoshan Jedi, rescued as an egg. I had a full cybernetic left arm and was a tinkerer also. Thanks to the logic of the light whip existing, i was able to make rolls to figure out how to make a saber blade that formed a corkscrew like shape, and with two of them, one blue and one green, i was able to make a spinning bar that held the sabers and spun fast enough to make them appear as a giant drill and i made this a cybernetic attachment. TLDR: I had a Lizard Cyborg Jedi with a pop out Lightsaber Drill fist like the anime gurren lagann!
Really like that lightsaber design in the thumbnail
Ah, yes, Boomerang Lightsaber my favorite Star Wars weapon
I'm fascinated by the Dark Saber
I designed my own hilt a little while ago. It was a curved hilt with a Frig aloy handguard that doubles as a battle hammer when not turned on.
fine addition to my collection
The dark saber for its emotional connection ability/the lightsaber cane used be master Sinube
But what about Exar Kun' s small hilt double bladed lightsaber, it is my favorite because of its extra unique design, especially the claw design on the emitters and the light blue coloured blades
it's a hard choice between Bane's lightsaber and the one of Kun. Maybe at the end it depends if the wielder prefers one or double bladed saber. both awesome...
Very amazing lightsaber designs and great job on the video the stupendous was and I would take count dooku lightsaber or Maybe a lightsaber pike too.
You know, I agree with our content producer. Darth Bane's blade would be my choice. Although I will mention one thing. The design isn't unique unless it found it's way into the hands of Count Dooku, but I believe his is the same saber that he constructed as a Jedi just with a changed crystal.
Darth bane’s lightsaber literally looks different in every picture
Oh Earth bane...
True
Swear you’ve made this video 10 times already...
Not the First time and not the last...
Light whip has always been my favourite, it's so dumb but so awesome I love it haha
Didn't know about the lore behind the dark saber, very cool.
I would really be interested in Count Dooku”s Lightsaber.
now with jedi tales we can see Dooku's lighsaber as a Jedi. Also curved, but not quite the same as after he left the order and built a new one (far prettier than the one he use as a Jedi, imo)
"The light whip is exclusively in Legends continuity."
The Clone Wars series in Canon. There are a few Light Whips in The Clone Wars series.
There's no crystals, it's just electricity, think the TR8-R electric baton in TFA
That is a electro whip
The light whip got me to remember my southern heritage
It's not a lightsaber per se, but I like the Kerestrian Darkstick. A silver handle that produces a short, curved blade of pure blackness about as long as the handle. Intended to be thrown like a boomerang, I'd wield them like Kukri.
Now that I think about it, they may have been the origin for the tech used to make the Darksaber.
covering the light club and no mention of Lowbacca's bronze bladed light club? for shaaaame.
I like Revan’s lightsabers; his hilt was kind of average, in my opinion. His color crystals were very unique.
With the addition of the High Republic Era, the saber designs are super dope.
Ezra’s first lightsaber in Rebels was pretty cool
A cross between a saber and a gun
I just got a thought while you were talking about the dark saber; what if The Mandolorian wields the Dark Saber later in the show?
I'd probably shit myself
CaptainWhiskey419 my theory too
I would use Darth Bane’s lightsaber because I always thought the curved hilt lightsaber was among the most deadly of all lightsaber variants!
In fact it is. The hilt's curve allows the user to strike with more force as it is held more in the palms, and it slightly changes the user's strike angles to confuse less skilled opponents. And it being virtually weightless means that Bane could strike faster with it
If you hold a curved hilt, you could rush them and stab them with easier thrusting.
@Michael RedCrow Dude this is lightsaber combat, not real life sword fighting. The 7 lightsaber forms have so many different actions and sequences with constant motion that a curved hilt might actually give you an advantage in certain maneuvers. Plus lightsaber wielders are usually superhuman Jedi or Sith who can pull off things that no ordinary human could ever dream of doing
@Michael RedCrow You're treating lightsabers as if their blades have weight. They don't. A weightless blade provides greater variety of weapons. You're using flawed logic and insulting those who don't agree via snarky comments.
@Michael RedCrow You're applying history and practice of WEIGHTED BLADES to a WEIGHTLESS FANTASY WEAPON. Never once does OP say "I would use a (Vader's Vault, Ultra Sabers) of ______." He says "I would use Darth Bane's lightsaber." He's not putting a weighted blade in his hands. He's talking about the fantasy weapon itself. You're using flawed logic, and if you can't see that, then you need to go work on yourself. Bye.
More recently, though it’s not canon, comes from the Disney+ series Legends, where former Sith Lord Ronin fought Sith Lord Kouru. Kouru wielded a lightsaber parasol which directed the blade into eight different directions. Pretty amazing design and that particular episode of Visions is an amazing thing to watch.
I like that those who wielded the double hilted lightsaber could use it for near prefect defense. Great list.
I love how the rarest and most unique lightsaber is limp. 😂
Aren't
Lightwhips canon (star wars the clone wars season 4 epsides 11-13) in 1 of then Anakin uses one against dooku.
Those were electrowhips
Ventress’ lightsaber is quite unique too, was expecting to see it
on this list.
Definitely excited for clone wars season 7
7:26 Pewdiepie's light saber
Aren’t there light whips in the clone wars
No, those are just electro-whips
if I were to design my own light saber, I'd have it resemble a Japanese tessen ( that' a war fan). Having a pair of those would make a good defensive weapon.
My fav lightsaber is cal kestis' final saber that has the ability to split into two and allows for the mastery of all styles of lightsaber combat. It just seems so cool
Went back to watch the holy trilogy and I’m honestly astounded that those old ass movies are more compelling and exciting than Force Awakens and Last Jedi anyone else feel the same?
However I loved Rogue One and not only for the Vader scene
I agree. Imagine if they tried making the new trilogy good?
@@CaptainCoolzCT- The decisions they make in movies and how they cultivate the plot doesnt seem thought out and just seems to create shock factor instead of actually being good
Exavier Jackson
Does every video that has anything to do with Star Wars have to have a million comments about how the new trilogy apparently sucks?
OwlLegend what, so you like it? We're chatting, it’s what humans do.
If I had a lightsaber I would have a shorter one that would be easier to wield idk
So a shoto blade
I quite like the Vader-style length switcher on the switch section of the saber
Really figured I'd see Ezra's blaster/saber combo and the Grand Inquisitor's duel bladed spinning saber.
What ever happened to Exar Kun’s saber? That one is my ultimate favorite
“The lightwhip hasn’t made any cannon appearances”
Me, a hardcore clone wars fan: uh-huh
When did it appear in the clone wars
JTC season 4 episode 12, 13
@@maxtube444 those aren't lightsabers, just normal electric whips
Kylo ren: *Am I a joke to you?*
Yes you are
Yes
Yup
Stupendous!
I would use warby null's light saber I love the idea of switching blades to surprise the opponent
God damn I hope the Mandalorian has the dark saber on the show
Batman I hope so too.
He won’t, not only is he not Mandalor but he’s in no way connected to Sabine
A light whip is a stupid and totally unrealistic idea.
Jeff Hallam it’s unique it might not be affective in battle, but it’s a interesting ideal
Yeah, it's unrealistic. Unlike the standard, realistic, down to earth laser swords we are well accustomed to in our everyday life.
So, I guess you're going to act like the Chain Whip from Chinese martial arts doesn't exist eh. Plus the villain Whiplash from marvel started appearing in comics as early as 1968, note that his current depictions involve energized whips, so don't claim it's unrealistic when even marvel has something similar. Sorry if this comes off as snippy, but I have gotten tired of people saying it's unrealistic without at least looking into martial arts.
While not unrealistic whips, flails and other flexible weapons are more likely to strike the wielder than straight weapons like normal swords, so one with 100% cutting power...
8:46 looking like a glorious model o
I would like to see what lightsaber battles would look like with shields. Gungan shields using Kyber crystals would be interesting
I feel like this channel is just regurgitating ideas now, I could have swore you made a video like this a year or two ago.
A saber similar to Darth Bane's, but with a slightly longer hilt capable of accommodating a two-handed grip and a dual phase mechanism with a ghostfire crystal and a Mestare crystal would be my saber of choice.
Legends Corran Horn also had a dual phase lightsaber he made from a speeder throttle. One was standard length and could double by twisting the hilt
That was cool. Although I dont think that the Rebels series was trying to say that the Dark saber in particular became linked to the user... I think the point was that that is the case with all light sabers. Kanan was explaining that when he was teaching Sabine Wren. I also think that is wasnt specific to the Dark saber that a mandalorian had to win it in combat. I think that a mandalorian would say the same for any weapon of stature.
My favorite form of lightsaber would be the double-edged lightsaber but in purple fascinating it was a lightsaber that I would most certainly like to use in battle .
The purple lightsaber is awesome
I'd like to see a force trident-Saber kind of thing
Like a Halberd but bigger with ranged capabilities
I remember a time when the darksaber was just a weird lightsaber shaped space station/Death Star clone built by Durga the Hutt. Life was simple then.
I thought that Exar Kun's lightsaber would be there as well, since it had 3 main characteristics:
1. It was the first double bladed lightsaber/saber staff.
2. The size of the hilt was the size of a standard lightsaber hilt, unlike Maul's version.
3. The bladee had so many features that allowed Exar Kun to apply many variations of Trakata, the art that uses the lightsaber's feature of how it's blade can be activated and deactivated during combat.
I think is so unique that it is the only dual lighsaber with a one hand use hilt (even standart lightsabers many times had bigger hilts to allow double handed help in combat)
Jedi temple guard lightsabers are amazing
My favourite lightsaber is Darth Bane's one ! X)Darth Bane is one of my main favourites sith in Star Wars universe. He's clever, powerful in the force and a great strategist ! I think this lightsaber represent as very well his character.
The lightwhip is just a one way ticket to death for the enemies and the user
I'd like lightsaber with features that follows:
1. A long hilt. Long enough to gain additional cleaving power when wielded with two hands bit short enough so it wouldn't be altogether unwieldy and to not diminish it effectiveness one handed.
2. A longer and wider blade that, like its hilt, wouldn't be too unwieldy and also effective if one hand.
3. Able to be swong with with wide swings and long thrusts.
4. Although I would like it to be an exotic color like magenta or pink, I would except blue or green in order to keep the sanctity of the uniqueness of Windo-kun's purple blade. I might also except a yellow blade
I have an ideal for constructing an unique lightsaber.
A rotator is placed on the hilt and contains two or even three blades. It spins those blades like a drill, or an electric eggbeater.
Because of the rotator, the weapon itself has more weight than regular lightsabers. Which has more impact. And one swing of this thing means multiple blades cutting the target, makes it hard to block and decrease the defense of the enemy. It can also use its spinning blades to blend opponent’s weapon and disarm them.
But the downside of this is not as agile as regular lightsabers. And it needs more power to activate.
The closest we came to a light whip, where those things used in The Last Jedi. When Rey and Kylo fought the Elite guards in the throne room
I would love to use a modified light whip, using the concept of a dual phase lightsaber to make a lightsaber which could change between the long whip and a normal blade, basically a chain sword but actually plausible. Either that or I'd dual wield lightsaber pistols.
