- Hi everyone, today I'm sharing with you my day in Victoria on Vancouver Island. I re-visited several places and created small sketches along the way. Finally I was able to do an escape trip after attending to my fur baby Dudu's recovery journey.
🎨 Materials I used:
Sailor's fude fountain pen (Bamboo Green)
Noodler's Brown 41 Ink (to fill the fountain pen)
Mungyo watercolors
Etchr Mix-Media A4 size Landscape Sketchbook
Holbein Water Brush (large tip)
Holbein water brush (medium tip)

QUESTION: love your videos! Can you do an updated video on your watercolor palette please? Last one is from 3 years ago, and a refresher would be very helpful to show what colors are your most used, which ones are must haves, which you took out of your palette or replaced with different ones. Take care and keep up the good work.

I visited Vancouver Island and stayed in Victoria in June 2015. It was absolutely stunning and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the beautiful sights. It was well worth the trip from Australia. Love your paintings Becky.❤

I had a palette that pilled and beaded water like that. If that bothers you like it did me, take a very, very fine sandpaper and buff it briefly. Then you’ll be able to see the small pools of mixed paints. I absolutely love Victoria, BC. ❤

What water brush do you use? I figure a recommendation from someone who actually uses a water brush regularly is “ worth the weight in gold.” Thank you
I'm using Holbein water brushes made in Japan. :)
what brand of water brushes do you recommend
I really recommend Holbein brand water brushes. If you can't find this, Pentel and Sakura works ok too.

I'm using an Etchr mix media A4 size Landscape sketchbook. I purchased it on their website: etchrlab.com/products/es-landscape
It may be pricey, but you can get other brands of sketchbooks, for example, Moleskine watercolor album, Strathmore Visual Journal, both can be found on Amazon.
