Great episode Steve. Those little boats were the actual reason I ended up going with the pontos basic. Enjoyed watching you build today. See you next time. Take care.
I started watching your videos when you did the Tamiya 1/32nd Mosquito (My wife and I had moved in with our son in Florida until we could find a house of our own, and I had little, to nothing to do). I didn't comment on any of them, but they have all been wonderful. This one is particularly interesting as the Bismarck is one of my favorite warships. As expected, you always do an outstanding job! I'm looking forward to how you correct Trumpeter's mistake of the missing boat. Eagerly anticipating the next episode!
Coming along nicely Steve! You’ve inspired me to try my hand at soldering. Now that my teaching responsibilities are on hold for 2 months, I can try. Wish me luck!
Great episode, like watching you solder. I do agree the masking of those boats looks really tough. I'm very interested in watching how you fix the other boats.
Greetings my friend, the Bismark is looking great, size wise way too big for me, but we all have our likes and must haves, I hope you do have a nice cabinet space for it when finished, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👍👍👍👍
Very nice work Steve. You do make it look easy (which it is not). I found this part of the build quite a pain to deal with. When I first saw these life boats; I wondered to myself, just how much time it would take to launch these life boats while under attack...🤺
Hi nice to see you continue with this build I am atm busy with modifying the hull. I can cast the boats you need if you like since I will be building the same ship as you are I will be needing these boats as well. I have allot of experience with casting parts, the Aviattic Baillia 1/32 scale plane I have scratch build and cast for Aviattic. Let me know if you are interested. Regards Ron PS I can also resin print parts I have the same book as you have.
Hi Steve, a fantastic show of your impressive skills, as ever. Your soldering is not helped by your clamp, it’s acting as a heat sink. I suggest you acquire some ceramic tipped tweezers.
Great build so far ! Taking on a Pontos set is huge undertaking.
It sure is I wonder what I’ve started some days Joe 😬😬

Please don’t follow my lead with soldering - I’m no expert and there are better ways of doing it. model railroaders are usually very proficient
Salut Steve, encore une très belle démonstration de ton talent. BRAVO
Merci beaucoup 👍🙏
great work on boat PE
Thanks Mick
Another amazing and inspiring episode. Keep up the great work Steve.
Thanks Greg

It might help to have a soldering iron that is hotter. The brass needs to be hot enough for the solder to flow.
It was at 450deg - I hate soldering and do it as little as possible. I think the clamp maybe drew the heat as well
Wow that Admirals barge is a model in itself !
Could you not make a casting of the 9 meter boat?
One of my subs is doing just that for our builds
