Following the success of "Weather Diaries" the band returned to the studio with producer Erol Alkan to make their sixth LP. The album was mixed by Alan Moulder with Caesar Edmunds at Assault & Battery in London.

Such a classic pop sound, reminds me of early 90's pop in many ways, but still so very Ride. Harmonizing, bass line, etc - love it.

While it doesn't sound like nowhere, its definitely finding Ride in much more poppy friendly territory but it works well. They sound like a legit young band, full of life
Right but you could argue that 'Going Blank Again' didn't sound like Nowhere and was definitely poppy.

I correct myself. This song is good. When you listen to the album in its entirety, its nice. It continues the flow of the album which is a real grower every time I listen to the thing. Jump Jet should've been the single though, not this one
Takes me back to 92 ride. They’re back with that great journeying melancholic sound but have moved on. They re only going to get better I think. A lot bette than the last album

Sorry. No OX4 ground moving earthshaking brilliance. Sounds like they found an old Casio though.
While I admit this is very accesible pop, it still sounds like Ride. And sure, while their heyday was Britpop with a shoegazing edge, it's always interesting to see how artists develop themselves with a new album. And to be honest, how is this not more contemporary pop than a How does it feel, or I don't know where it comes from?
