Easy 1940's Makeup Look

- Since a did a 1940's hair look a few weeks ago, I thought I'd follow it up with an easy 1940's makeup. This is super quick and easy. Hope you enjoy!!

Where do you get the confidence to be how ever you want? To not feel the gut wrenching fear of disapproval, hatred, ridicule, and constant never ending criticism? I get that daily and I am positive that if I was how I wanted to be. It would be so much worse. I really really really admire your courage and confidence. I love your videos, it's the best part of my day to see when you put out a new one. I rewatch the old ones alot when I hide from the world.
To be honest, I found that when I started being my true self, and dressing/styling myself vintage, my confidence started to grow. It was a little scary at first, but when I put on my first vintage dress, it just felt right. I felt beautiful. When I am styled vintage, I feel the most beautiful and true to myself, and that also grows confidence. For the most part, people are kind and complimentary. I have been lucky to rarely experience criticism for being myself. I’m so sorry that you are struggling! Sending you all my love! Thanks for being here! ❤️
I just found her channel and this was my first video. I am a librarian and archivist and I dress exactly as so. I do a red lip and eyelashes every day. My only caveat is my pin curled hair is pink. Yep..pink! I wear a lot of librarian-ish looking clothes- dresses, flats or small heels, tweed, velvet, round glasses, pearls, and very feminine look all around. I started at 40 and have not stopped since. My best advice is be an authentic you and stop worrying about what anyone else thinks. I had one catty woman in my neighborhood but I just ignored her and live a happy live, everyday. My style is a great conversation starter and most people are friendly.

It’s surprisingly very easy!
Just gorgeous! Maybe it's silly but I feel like black is the only color I can line the upper lids with for a finished look. This looks so polished though, I may want to experiment with a brown lol! Very pretty!

I’m going over to my fiancé’s parents house for dinner, so I want to look my best. Jake’s parents love vintage style, so I wanted to try out the forties look. I’ll let you know how it well it went.
@Seeker it would have unfortunately his parents both caught COVID-19 so we had to cancel. But I sent a pic to his mother and she showed it to her husband and they were pleased that I put in the effort and said that when they were better that they were looking forward to getting to know me better.
