Thank you for sharing. This kind of make up looks so flattering on you. 💞😊 I definitely need to level up hahah I’m just wearing eyeshadows in shades that go well with blue eyes ( according to the Internet ). However I really want to recreate a 1930s look. Any tips, guys? 🙈💕
Thank you so much !! I used to love playing around with makeup and trying out different shades that compliment brown eyes. I had WAY too much makeup, It's so fun! But I've been leaning to a more simple look for every day its more authentic to the 1940s. I also reduced my collection significantly. It would be the the same for the 1930s, the average woman wasn't wearing a lot of makeup or eyeshadows on a daily basis. Unless you are going for an old Hollywood glam look 😍 But look at real photos of every day women to get inspiration for makeup looks!
They were more common in the 1950s, but they was seen on movie stars in the 40s. However eyeliner like this flatters my eyeshadow the best, the line I make is very thin and straight (no flick!) so different from 1950s makeup. It’s an inspired 1940s makeup look and how I do my every day makeup 😊 it wasn’t meant to be 100% authentic. That would be a different tutorial
She looks great, but this isn't a 1940s-style makeup look. Please don't learn from this. A thick line of black winged eye-liner, bronzer and contouring, a ton of concealer -- it's all too much! In fact, I'd save this for an early 60s look. Lovely, but not 40s.
Beautiful girl, but that hairstyle is the WORST for you. Go for victory rolls-type, if you want to be authentic 40's but have a style that actually looks good for your face. Try and draw attention away fr your chin/jaw....flat top hair accentuates it and it doesn't need accentuating. ;) Yeah, this is not 40's makeup for sure, or makeup style.
Your home design, your clothes, your make up, your hair and your everything gives me 1940’s vibes. This video is amazing.
I love how your entire home and aesthetic is vintage it really transports us to that time in history
