  • Fluffy 1940's hair using a rag curl set! I used strips of an old t-shirt to roll my hair and ended up with super fluffy curls. Not my usual style, but I really like it.
    If you want to see a great tutorial on how to make the rag curlers, check out my friend Vicky's channel- Vicky Bermudez at • How I Do T-shirt Rag C...

    I like how you left in all the brushing as it takes so much brushing to sort a set out to look right. It's normally cut out from others' videos so people don't get a real idea of what is involved.

      @@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor Oh no, absolutely not. Lots of people take it out then when someone goes to recreate it they wonder why it doesn't look the same but they don't see the amount of work that's needed to tame a set into style. I think you did it right when you speeded it up. It's a nice mix for people plus if they don't want to see that much brushing they can always fast forward.

    My mom used to curl our hair like this when my sister's and I were little she's 75 now although she put a strip of news paper where the hair would wrap around I still curl my hair like this and my daughters hair as well it is a good way not to use any damaging heat especially on children's hair

    I did that in high school. I had long hair past my shoulders before my girlfriend put my hair in rags. The next morning I spent the day in the bathroom getting my hair wet at school trying to get my hair back. I had a fro an my hair was short.

    Even though i set my hair quite tight and with allot of rolls, they still turn out quite loose, do you have any advice on how i can get the long lasting bouncy curls? Thnx

    • @LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor
      @LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor  4 роки тому

      Ok sure! I have a few questions. Are you using a setting lotion? How wet is your hair when you set it? Also how long is your hair?

    • @honeyhope5169
      @honeyhope5169 4 роки тому

      @@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor my hair reaches about 2 inches below my shoulder, and i usually blow dry it so it still holds a bit of moisture. I usually stray from putting excess product in my hair, im not really sure why🤣🤗

    • @LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor
      @LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor  4 роки тому +2

      Ok so I would suggest starting with dry hair and then mist each section with setting lotion before rolling. I use lottabody. You mix it with 3 parts water, so your hair doesn’t feel like it has product in it. Usually foam rollers, or pillow rollers give a tighter curl.
