And Japanese Car culture continues to amaze. That looks like so much fun tho! In America most out off roaders have big NA V8's and such, funny to hear the blowoff valves on a off roader.
This video is pretty different from your other videos, but in a good way. It's fun seeing another side of the japanese car culture, and i'm sure we'd love to see more of what Japan has to offer other than drifting.
We adopted drifting here in the states and looks like they adopted off-roading in Japan. Although they have probably done it just as long. Awesome video as always!
Nice to see off reading enthusiasts in their natural habitat. Here in the States Jeeps, Jeeps everywhere. I have a couple but I would love to have a Suzuki Samurai. Tiniest little wheel base, giant loads of fun.
I always thought japanese people were uptight and cold ... how could i have been so wrong ... I totally want to hang out with those guys lol seems like tons of fun
@@beerenmusli8220 Yea this kinda car culture, drift culture is very much in rebellion of those kinda standards, much like alot of the other "counter-cultures" that exist around Japan, its both neat to learn about and kinda sad
4wding is the absolute BEST! i much prefer nature over concrete jungle, but drifting is still my love from a very young age. AMAZING video as always Alexi.
I had one of those for 7-8 years and never let me down not in mechanical department nor in fun. I will never forget how I crashed and fell down from 3 meters with my friend on the new year's eve or how I cramped half our football team (8 people) inside the little bugger. Good times. I miss it like hell. I will never love a car that way again.
Haha, that was really awesome! They're so nimble and small! also awesome to hear a turbo on a small 4x4! Please make another episode with these mad ones :D Thanks for the great content!
That place is full of surprises. I like seeing this part of Japan. Great video.(: I know how fun it is, we used to play in the convertible tracker, camp buggy and we had a ball.
Great upload man!! fantastic to see you're listening and making a variety of driving life in japan that we dont get to see, keep up the good work Alexi!
I haven't started watching this video yet, but i've seen some of your drifting videos and for some reason, when i see a car drift, my heart starts beating hard, i've never driven a car in my entire life, i don't know how to drive, thanks for that drifting hype man! :).
Much love for the suzuki Jimmy. my dad had an LJ80, the 1000cc, n the first car I drove solo was the 660cc 3 cyl version. Very common as paddock-bashers (farm car) in Aus. When out 4x4ing with his mates in 2 ton Patrols n Landcruisers, they'd often start out shittalking his "matchbox" car, but soon enough wanted a go. Could go places a landie wouldn't even think of. N if it did get stuck, you could quite realisticly just pick it up n move it. I always knew it'd be a good trip when on the way out it was mentioned "now, don't tell Mum..." loved that car.
Jimny? ha! In Hungary its called Jimmy and the older more box looking is samurai :D I tought you said it wrong had to look it up lol Nice video btw! Love to see something else besides drifting!
Im here after watching some of your other off roading videos and in one of those you mentioned that they dont really off-road on the rocks there cause its volcanic stone and in the moment I thought that was interesting but I still just pictured regular US style off roading, just on dirt. But I can see here in this video just how much that makes a difference. In the US we off road on dirt but the composition of the trails is such that we're still pretty much just trying to power ahead so any kind of foot-to-the-floor burnouts out to get up a hill. But here i noticed how often the Jimnys are using burnouts to basically rotate in place to make very sharp turns and thats so fascinating! Llike I mentioned out trails arent set up for that but also our cars are alot bigger so you would still need a large space to do a manuveur like that. Just fascinating how different the off-roading experience is from one place in the world to another. I would love to see the chaos of Japanese and American drivers swapping trails and rigs.
The bluegrass(?) in the background was pretty fitting. Generally when you think of jacked up offroading vehicles you thing of some good ol' boys here in the USA (at least I do anyways), so it's really cool to see that people on the other side of the world like the same sort of thing.
In the UK they were called usually Vitara's (although some in mid/late 80's called Jimny's - perhaps Grey Imports) and the later slightly mid 90's bigger one was the Grand Vitara. ..but all had 4 stoke petrol or diesel engines.
My first car was a SJ 413 hardtop i wish i still had it.looked like the one in the video with the white rollcage driven by the girl.Epic times were had in that mini truck!
"Is your clutch okay?"
"It's fucked."
"okay."
Love how chill they all are. Noone taking it seriously
yea, that's the best thing in Japan. No1 thinks that their better than someone else, just ppl having a blast.
Numa-saan? Numa-saaaan? Is your clutch ok?
-No, it's f*cked
And Japanese Car culture continues to amaze. That looks like so much fun tho! In America most out off roaders have big NA V8's and such, funny to hear the blowoff valves on a off roader.
You must be down south. In Colorado we rock Toyotas and v6 Jeeps on the rocks. We don't have a lot of mud like this
I love it when everyone laughs
Bane?
The best thing hahah
That got me good!!!
Lol zero fucks were given when the black Jimny rolled XD
That's off-roaders for ya
Blow-off valves and 2-strokes, it can't get much better. :D
Oh man I had so much fun watching this. Please make more.
^
Excellent music choice for this.
Oh look its the black 2 stroke one from Ebisu i just seen at the matsuri!
+MotionAutoTv YEA!! Motionauto watches nori....haha huge fan my dude I really dig your channel

It's fun seeing another side of the japanese car culture, and i'm sure we'd love to see more of what Japan has to offer other than drifting.
Holy shit, that looks awesome! Need to check this off the bucket list now.
+Alex Kersten and drifting with this guy at the ebisu circuit in your mx5!
*mx5's
Alex Kersten I feel awful that I didn’t notice this comment earlier lol
Noriyaro Episode 4, Alexi buys a Jimny.
I love that in most of your videos, if there is a "fender bender/rollover" everyone can laugh it off. Also where/when did you learn to speak Japanese?
We adopted drifting here in the states and looks like they adopted off-roading in Japan. Although they have probably done it just as long. Awesome video as always!

You can but 10 Jimny at the cost of 1 jeep.
Good fun, I love how they all burst into laughter when something goes wrong. Such good spirits.
I like your work! No bragging, no "opinions" just what people want to see with enough comment to add some extra facts. Awesome!
I always thought japanese people were uptight and cold ... how could i have been so wrong ...
I totally want to hang out with those guys lol seems like tons of fun
Weeeell, many of them are, sadly. Those who drift or drive jimny's wanted to break out of that.
@@beerenmusli8220 Yea this kinda car culture, drift culture is very much in rebellion of those kinda standards, much like alot of the other "counter-cultures" that exist around Japan, its both neat to learn about and kinda sad
+@@1983Corolla Indeed. I have nothing to add to these words.
yes! have been waiting for an upload
They call those Samurai's on this side of the Pacific... great little rigs with some hard core enthusiasts
4wding is the absolute BEST! i much prefer nature over concrete jungle, but drifting is still my love from a very young age. AMAZING video as always Alexi.

7:24 that casual conversation cracked me up...
I love the content in you're videos allways something fun and different
Lol the banjo picking was a nice touch. It's really cool to see them use these really complicated driving techniques for a little off-road track.
this was aweeeomseee!!! what a fun hobby
I had one of those for 7-8 years and never let me down not in mechanical department nor in fun. I haven't started watching this video yet, but i've seen some of your drifting videos and for some reason, when i see a car drift, my heart starts beating hard, i've never driven a car in my entire life, i don't know how to drive, thanks for that drifting hype man! :).
