Hi! Greetings from just outside Charlotte, North Carolina (in what's referred to as "The Heart of NASCAR"). You are correct! Most teams have on their pitbox a wheel hub mounted to it, with spare lug nuts. prior to the race you can see the tire changers tightening and loosening the lugs on this setup to keep themselves fresh for the pitstops. Additionally, the major teams all have pit crew academies for the sole purpose of auditioning, training, and practicing pit crews. It's a major facet of the championship...and teams spend boatloads of money on it. But Riichan is right, they're proper crazy. The amount of things they have to get absolutely right in less than ~14 seconds while dodging their own driver's car and about 3 or 4 other cars is wild.
I remember back when I went to the nascar museum in Charlotte there was a thing where you can see just how fast you are at doing the star pattern? you picked up the impact gun, went to a lug, click the trigger, then next one, then next one, etc. I wasn't so good at speed, and under pressure I'd probably do even worse.
Aren't the lugnuts held onto the wheels with wax or grease or something or did they change that? People think Nascar is just turning left, they don't realize it's a team sport...
NASCAR is one of the last racing series to have five lugs for there wheels. Everyone else from WEC, IMSA, and F1 use the single central nut or hub nut or whatever they call it. And in F1 they have 16+ crew members to make a pit stop in just 2 seconds. There's a video out there where they have pit stop from all different series that's pretty cool to watch.
I think it's so cool seeing all the little different shops and thier owners real down to earth people by the looks of it, also love how Alexi supports them keep it up
While I love the drift content, I definitely enjoy the random car and food lifestyle aspects of the videos as well. It reminds me of hanging out in garages with my friends, so it's appreciated!
A massive part of why I watch you is because you provide subtitles for translation. Breaking down that barrier makes everything so much more interesting/enjoyable and gives us insight into attitudes and way of life and humour and character that we wouldn’t normally get. You could film someone changing your wheels and eating ramen a lot and I wouldn’t stop clicking on the thumbnail. Great video Alexi, thanks 👍🏽
Ramen part fricken broke me, those little food inserts are gold. Also they seem like such a great couple of friends to be around. Ty Alexi, your content helps my depression so desu ne
You may consider it boring but it's interesting to us. Especially when you are having fluent conversations with someone in another culture that a lot people don't get to experience themselves 😊
Seeing the way people do up their vans in Japan has made me like minivans a lot more. I detailed a fairly new Toyota Sienna at work and thought, ''This thing is pretty cool.'' I'd love to get an old 5-speed Previa. RWD drift van!
In India those 2 stroke green ones are called a GYPSY and they are still built like it and are huge with rally and offroad guys first change is a MASSIVE tires around half of them sticking out of the fender. The engine is a 4 stroke modern unit .
Jimny's: In Malta there are plenty of those. Most end up lifted with larger wheels & snorkels and swapped with 1N-T Toyota diesel motors from the Toyota Tercel or Starlet diesel - 1.5 Turbodiesel. Thanks.
The first part of the video is the most interesting. I recall another video on Japan about tires and wheels that many shops wouldn't put custom wheels or tires on cars and now without a lot of hoops. Its good to know that second hand shops like this can be found to help resolve some of that. I follow a bunch of Caprice Wagon owners in Japan and always wonder how they get wheels and tires there.
When i lived in Japan while my father was in the military we used to go off roading there! He had a lifted 91 Hilux Surf and still has it in America! We lived near Camp Zama in sagamihara. bit of a drive but always fun!
Hi Alexi! There is also a popular offroading spot just north of Ebina off of the bank of the Sagami river. I had a lot of fun there with my Jimny and have met some amazing people! Love my Jimny so much that I brought it back to America!
Stuff like this is great - stuff like Up Garage or Autobacs or whatever is interesting, but I think they've been done to death. The honest, everyday content like this is much better.
GO GO HONDA ELEMENT! Our family loves our honda element, but we don't drive it as much now that we have a new 4runner. Rad to see all the little 4x4 rigs.
Love the video like always, I was about to pass out and got the notification so I had to check it out before I did. Hope to see more videos regardless of what your doing, the content is always high quality and fun.
Alexi, showing that you change the wheels must also be done. But talking about bad luck that your spare wheel had a broken valve takes me back the memory lane on my first flat tire then taking out the Spare one to find out it's only half pumped with air 🤣. So I hitchhiked back home to get the manual air pump and the excuse was there why I didn't make it to the school but that was 2 decades ago.
I have one of these!! a '93, JA11 Jimny. Its white with grey and pink stickers, that's right. Can confirm it's an absolutely cute little beast. Goes wherever it's asked, slowly lol. Top cruising speed is 65, goes 75 at redline in 5th gear.

Amazing
Brad Jones Racing in Australia uses an old AU Falcon to practice their tyre changes on. It’s pretty cool to watch... if you’re an AU Falcon fan :p

He mentioned on his twitch stream he had a daughter
@@Bokator2 hmm should try n watch the twitch stuff if I ever feel like it
Yeah, I can't believe I just learned that. For some reason I just assumed he was single, don't know why.
When Alex said "Steiner" wheels, immediately thought of Downfall when Steiner couldn't mobilize enough men, and carry out the assault.
DAS WAR EIN BEFEHL! DER ANGRIFF STEINER WAR BEFEHL!
Keep up the regular uploads man! We're loving the content regardless!!
Alexi: _Actually wants a Vellfire_
Rich mens in Malaysia: *Oh so you're a man of culture as well*
did not expect malaysia here
Been to Malaysia a bunch of times
Least I can say is I'm shocked by the amount of Veilfires there
what's the more common there, Alphard or Vellfire?
Vellfire is more common I think, but Alphard is cheaper
@@SuperSohaizai Alphard is cheaper? Bruh here in Indonesia the Alphard is more expensive than Vellfire's.
Hey Alexi, really love the music choice. Really suits the vibe lol
The country banjo music on this is hilarious for some reason
“Steiner… Steiner, Steiner”
- Noriyaro 2020, tries to summon the downfall -
I wonder what it feels like being loved by literally every person on the planet.

Love these vids. More garage time, more food, more strange Japanese car culture!
Pleaseeee do try to make more vids like this, I really like the chill vibe it's like a break from the drifting
I genuinely love how you can't tell if Alexi just knows a guy for every task or people are just that nice in the Japanese car world over there.
Not boring at all Alexi. I find this day in the life video more interesting than your usual drift contents!
I appreciate the time you put into content you find boring. I enjoyed this video for what it was and would watch more like it.
I love the jimmy videos every now and then, its like kicking back 😊
I am absolutely LOVING the content recently ! Thank you Alexi, much love from Holland
Damn, to heart. Now that's a blast from the past
I need a Jimny
5 hours ago wtf?
The world would be a happier place if everyone had a Jimny.
Its not even a jimny it's a sierra/samurai
@@Astrix02 IIRC these are all kei spec, so 660cc 3cyls. The sierra are 4cyl I think. Could be wrong.
@@Astrix02 this generation was called Jimny in Japan. Yes other names elesewhere
First time seeing night offroading.
Certainly have a unique vibe than normal offroading.
I saw Jimny, I clicked. Not disappointed! Cheers Alexi!
The van looks clean with those wheels! We want more vlogging of regular day to day car stuff not just events!
Ah finally. Something I can relate too. Offroad adventuring and offroad adventuring vehicles
I live like these videos and the vibes from them I get to see a different side of you hanging with the boys. It’s a nice change of pace 👍
The conversations with the people you meet with are interesting to me. I like these videos

Love getting the Ramen Report with Alexi. Day to day life stuff is great for lots of us. Dad jokes need no apology one dad to another. EVER.
Now here's a blast from the past! been a while since i've seen a jimny vid!
Nice vlog. New wheels looks great. Looking forward to the next vlog. Keep up the good work.

4:58 I agree (says the guy driving a silver Rav4, with stock silver wheels).
We NEED more Jimny episodes!
The Black S14 looks awesome! the body kit and white letters go great with the Black paint.
The offroading part was sick! I never could've imagined there was something like this in Japan.
"Alexi is lying.
He wants a Vellfire" - hahaha =)
3:51AM on East Coast, Land of Freedom. Can't sleep. Deep down my subconscious knew there would be a Noriyaro upload we needed to stay up for.
"you couldn't even walk through here!"
*laughs in infantry*
TIL you have at least one kid. Congrats on not making everything public! Love you!
These are actually my favourite type of video with the behind the scenes of what you get upto outside of the track

Love The Vampire Intro the past Couple of Night Videos
I’m a proud jimny owner from the UK

Makes me wanna get the keys of my dad's jimny with its cute smile and drive it around
I had the same Steiner wheels on my crown when it was imported from Japan. Changed them out quick!
Saw the Jimny footage on my front page, and assumed it was super old footage. Very glad to see it make its return!
friday night activities look fooking awesome. big shout out to the guy installing your wheels! :D
Really comfy video. Definitely want to see more like this!

Agreed. Plus I bet the Upgarage employees are tired of being filmed by every gaijin that walks in
Definitely enjoy seeing stuff like this. More random vids!
now that's a proper night with the boys

1:35 I'm interested in the old body Toyota Crown than the Noah. Do a video on that car!!
Great fun man, I love Japan and their culture so just pile on with random stuff from anywhere I will happily watch. 😁👍🏻
