@@zavinullava I love Unbreakable. I really like Split and Knock at the Cabin. The Visit is ok. Ive never liked Signs but other people do. Thats about it.
@@NigelRedux Thanks. Seems I started at the wrong end with his superhero trilogy by watching Glass accidentally (and it sucks ass, I'm aftraid). I've been thinking of checking out the other two.
Peeps love to sh1t on The Happening, but if you watch it with the mindset that it is a campy, bad movie, it is actually Amazing. I WANT to believe that he made it intentionally as bad as possible, but his other movies are all so bad now that I can't even tell.
The silver lining to this awful movie is how many smaller movie review channels I'm discovering who are doing such a good job tearing this movie apart lol. 100% subscribing, can't wait to see more of you my man.
You made a good point , even if he had left and skipped the police, they would have found later on cameras. Also, Cooper is stupid,Lady Raven might have not even cared for this stranger guy he was keeping hostage. The worst of Saleka acting was when she pretended his mum. Atrocious.
People keep saying that the actors did amazing with just a bad script. But im not sure what movie everyones watching, cuz what i saw looked like a drama school student film with people reading out these lines like theyve never said words before in their life 😂
I was so pumped for this movie. The trailer looked amazing. Shamalan writes really great concepts for the first 2 acts but most of his movies fall apart in the 3rd act. Nevermind the unnatural dialog
@@mostawesomecomment6553I respect your opinion, but I don't think the same, The film does not focus on Cooper's daily life ( no Dexter). In the first minutes before knowing the trap, act normally then when the game of cat and mouse begins, like a psychopath, he enjoys the situation and gives it that ironic or sarcastic , when the serial killer behaves strangely pretending to be guy , this is intentional by the director, remembers that his profile is that he does not panics easily When he grabs the girl who is fainting, he is completely normal and charming (that's how he is in his normal life). josh did a good job, for me Bad acting was saleka shaymalan.
So, what would have happened if he just played it cool and tried to talk his way out of it? The only thing they had was that he looked like the profile, and he had the tattoo. Is that really something you can arrest somebody over? I am sure that maybe he gets on the radar, but I don't know if they can arrest the guy. He acted like if he had any conversation with the police, he would be outed, but if it was that obvious he would been arrested on the spot. I think his best bet was just to act like a normal dad and leave with his kid
My thoughts exactly. Wtf was the point of this movie? When they show the crime scene pic of the multiple sheets at a playground... I thought he killed his kid's friends or something OR he realizes he didn't do that one and there's a copy cat out there and they are BOTH at the concert. The other one hostages his daughter...anyway. I had so much hope for this premise...it was terrible.
Kind of the same way for me. I especially like the first 2/3 of it. The last of it seemed like he was just trying to get his daughter screen time in any way he could
@@NigelRedux exactly. That kinda took me out of the movie when I saw her name in the credits and that it was her music. Music scenes went on way too long and there was zero reason to have her be the hero during the 3rd act. I was hoping her having asthma would be her doom but alas LoL
Has he done anything good apart from Sixth sense?

The Village, Signs and Stuart Little

This movie was a commercial for M. Night's daughters music. I didn't find her music bad but her acting was.
song "Divine" is good

"Lady Raven".
No. That's a nonstarter.

Terrible acting, with even what's his nuts looking bad once you realize he just bit off Dexter

I enjoyed this movie because of Josh Hartnett's performance, he was great despite the script
100% Disagree.
Nothing but a bad Dexter impression, fr

A fair review- terrible movie- didn’t even need the nepobaby ruining it

Great review man...
I like a knock at the cabin too. This was horrible though. Great premise horrible execution
The best part was the scene at the end of the credits.
Never thought about the cameras that’s a good point
Terrible movie...
keep the good work!

@@MrAlcazar I know. It sucks.
Glad I found you!
I gave up on M. Knight. He’s just way too inconsistent.
This looks like hot garbage, and I love how honest you are. I’ll be back. ☺️
He isn't inconsistent.
All of his movies have been bad for at least 15 years.
This movie was do do
I just watched this movie and really enjoyed it.
Troll
I didn't mind it either. The last third was kind of ridiculous, but I liked the scenes at the arena
Shyamalon is a hack. Someone needs to say it.
Most people say it.
Acting like your view is unique when you're in the majority seems needy and weird.
He has always been an inconsistent director
I loved this movie,
But I understand how others didn’t,
Also, M. Nights daughter was a chore to watch.

This was just a concert for his daughter that we paid for!!

Google "nepo babies" bro. Hollywood has been doing this for over 70 years
I think the movie was very good conceptually, but failed to follow through on the many setups for suspense and payout.
