yes i was a twenty one pilots fan im sorry
Some sins are unforgivable
It's ok nick. God forgives like you said.
The only thing wrong with twenty one pilots is the fanbase, don't be sorry
I still am! Clancy is one of my favourite records of 2024 right now.
Apology with tears now
Seeing more positive videos about this movie makes me so happy
It needs more love
@@condolcezza5850 Right!!
It certainly does
It was a FARCE!
Idk what people were expecting. But I had a lot of fun.
People were expecting a movie that was not an infomercial for his daughters' obscure music career. They were expecting an evenly talented cast..... a plot without quite so many gaping holes in it. A script that didn;t sound like it was written in one evening. Character behavior that was not so non-sensical and cartoonish.
But hey, if you had 'fun' glad you don't feel your money was wasted.
Not a promotion for his daughters music career
It’s hard not to love it. With the Jamie who ever shares 😂
@@hollowkid97his daughter can work on her own fyi don’t hate on how you would do it for your own family ok
@@pamelabalian88 don't Hate me cause i spoke the truth
I’m kinda shocked that this is getting so many bad reviews because I had an absolute blast watching this. The first and second acts in the concert are genuinely so fun, as someone who relates hard to his daughter seeing her be a total fan girl and trying to engage her dad in it had me giggling the whole time. Patrick Bateman father core (he’s killed so many people but I love him anyways lol)
Its getting bad reviews I think because people are used to seeing Marvel movies and films told from a certain perspective. M. Night has a distinctive way of creating films.
I had the time of my life. This movie was so fun. I loved every moment of it and I never was a Shyamalan fan, so I had zero expectations going into it.
And I found it really pretty, too. There are some gorgeous scenes in it that I didn't see anyone talking about.
And I thought the songs were pretty good. I'm not a pop fan, but I enjoyed them.
Same. It was so entertaining. Will watch it again. Yes, there are plot holes, but the acting is good and makes up for it. I enjoyed the music, the humor and suspense. Hartnett was awesome.
I loved this movie so much too!
josh hartnett was so hot in the film OH MY GOD
thank you for loving this. i thought i was the only one :´)
Ikr, lol the scene where he gets behind and grabs Lady Ravens shoulder to make her go in the car🫣
Just got home from this film and genuinely felt like I was going insane seeing the titles and thumbnails from some other reviews. Sure not the best film ever that will knock your socks off, but still very solid. Had a great time in theaters seeing one of my favorite hunks chew the goddamn scenery.
Jezuz, finished it yesterday and you and me both after I saw those bad reviews...
I enjoyed yet but the ending left me wanting more. I really liked how you can feel the stress and worry Cooper feels throughout and the the anger he feels at when he does not get what he wants.
“With intentional comedic elements” is lost on a lot of people. From the bizarre and hilarious concept, a serial killer and doting dad trapped by an FBI profiler at a 20,000 seat faux Swiftie concert to Hartnett’s brilliant parody of psychopaths with hearts of gold, this movie is near perfect entertainment. We’re going to see it again. 😁
You are almost right ;) I've watched it twice already. I noticed a lot of interesting details in Cooper's character. For all its dark side, glimmers of humanity were present throughout the film. Shyamalan shows this ironically.
I adored the simplicity of Trap. In a world of cinematic universes that increasingly feel more like live-action compilations of references to media outside of films solely made for those who want to point at the screen in recognition of a reference they recognize to declare fhey’re better than everyone else for having picked up a comic book, Trap was a beautiful, singular event that exists simply to be enjoyed. I’m also a huge fan of concerts and live music, so this felt like a wonderful love letter to that as well. Just absolutely wonderful. Had a great time with it. More filmmakers need to be like Shyalmalan, telling stories simply because they love doing it.
Stop copying the drinker
There are so many people for whatever reason hate Shyamalan and I think they were just ready to drag it to filth when it was released and not give it a chance but I agree with you I do not think it is that bad
@@levischorpioen yes! You nailed it!
sounds like you hang around crappy people. Who does that? lol
@@dontrah1838 Don’t know who that is.
I loved this movie!
It's been said The Butcher likely has a superpower as seen in Glass, Split, and Unbreakable. When you view it from that lens, it now makes more sense as to why he can evade for so long, grab a bicycle spoke, grab police gear, disappear from the limo.
Agree with you completly! UPD As for limo escape he use moment when crowd moves from his side of limo to Lady Raven run from limo, on second viewing I notice that. So again he use empathy of people to get what he wants)
yeah when (spoiler) he got tased on from multiple different people and still popped that guys eyes out i got big split flashbacks
@@ButterCookie1984 his has no super power (and aren’t we glad to get out of that rut?). He’s a psychopath with smarts, a narcissistic with an elaborate toolbox

@@mgariepy42 Being able to see metaphors and artistic exaggeration allows us to reflect on the layers of characters that are certainly present in Trap.
Seeing more positive videos from Nick recently really makes me feel like he's enjoying making content again.
This video was crispy!
Josh Hartnett played both the innocent dad and the sociopathic serial killer really well. I really enjoyed this film.
Finally a real review of the movie!! It was so much fuunn bruh! I felt like I was there at the concert. I'm definitely going to watch it multiple times.
Trap was such a blast it felt like being in a concert & the crowd experience just makes it even way better! Josh Hartnett was just so incredible as The Butcher!
You don't even believe that
Great movie! The critics are just looking for the next masterpiece of cinema, and when a movie isn’t one, they don’t enjoy it very much. I loved this movie and hope it does well!!
This movie was fun! A lot of the people who complain about it being unrealistic also love 80s action and slasher movies as if those are realistic...
One really fun Easter egg is that the lady who played the female FBI leader in the movie played the the twins in the original parent trap. A parent TRAP in the movie TRAP! That’s so interesting.
I had so much fun watching this movie lol. I was actually engaged the entire time and the soundtrack slappppss. Didn't know who Saleka was before watching this movie but i definitely added her songs to my playlist afterwards lol.
I havent seen you in my reccomended in years. Good to hear from you again.
i saw this movie with my dad and we went in totally blind, we only knew it was about a dad taking his teen daughter to a concert and that spoke to us. i think watching it without any knowledge was a good call, i liked it a lot even tho i was super stressed the whole time
Yeah even tho the reveal that he's bad is so early on I hate that the trailer showed it.
yeah sadly i went in knowing he was a serial killer the whole time :( due to the trailer.
@@GrayWoIf That’s not the reveal! The reveal comes at the end when he’s eating the pie!
If TRAP got 100000 fans I’m all of them. If Trap got 1 fan I’m ALL OF THEM, I’ll fight to the death for this stupid brick of cheese!
Loved it so much! Saw it twice!
In terms of Trap takes
Virgin Karsten Runquist vs Chad 24 Frames of Nick
I dont get the hate. Sure it got kinda stupid and drawn out towards the end, but it still engaged and entertained throughout
Whether you like it or not, you are glued to the screen throughout.
Glad to see someone not bashing this for once. I thought it was entertaining. Josh Hartnett really killed this role
WELCOME BACK NICK!!! ❤
Me too! I loved it too! In fact, apart from Trap there are only three M Night movies that I don't like (or own) on home video. He's a unique film maker, and a great auteur. Well done again M Night. It's not your best movie, but it's still pretty damn good!
based PFP comrade
Comrade Patrick, I agree with your opinion)
If at any point there was a time to support an original movie, this one is it. So far it seems Trap won't do that well in the box office, and people are always saying to go support original films. Go watch this one! It's a solid, fun thriller with a great central performance. It's a great time.
I saw Trap a couple days ago, and I had a good time! The second half of the movie is not as good as the first, but overall I thought it was worth seeing
I’m a HUGE enthusiast especially horror movies, aspiring business owner and actress. I’ve already watched 25 new releases in the cinema this year including Trap. I throughly enjoyed it as well! I have been excited to watch Trap ever since the trailer dropped months ago. It’s now in my top five favorite movies from M. Night Shyamalan and one of my top five favorite movies of the year thus far along with Dune 2, Bad Boys 4 Ride or Die, Maxxxine and Longlegs. ❤❤❤❤
just got back from seeing this, it was such a fun theater experience, i loved it it was so camp to me
I love your passion for this film!!
Once it releases to watch at home, I'm gonna watch it with my family
Just saw this movie and was SEATED. Had such a blast
Please more positive movie reviews! You wouldnt believe it but it seems to be a rare niche in the community to right now
I love how you mention the hitman games...
That is EXACTLY what was going through my mind when I was watching this film. It felt like Agent 47 slowly trying to pry for information and how to get closer to his target.
No over the top drama or overcomplicated plots, just straight up thriller and tension, get in/get out.
Yes!!! I agree with you 100%, I am so confused on how people don't like this movie tbh. and 5:33 yeah.... I feel ya there
The first 2 acts are pretty decent, the third act has some incredibly dumb decisions that keep Josh hartnetts Character Free enough to pick his cuffs with the bike spike, you’re telling me they’re letting him be alone by a bike when he’s a serial killer?
My son & I absolutely enjoyed the ride. It was tense & funny & scary! We had fun
i feel like so many ppl were expecting an m night movie to not be an m night movie- at some point this is just his style, even when it get unrealistic and goofy, it doesnt stop it from being extremely entertaining. i was consumed in the film, even in the falling apart third act
Don't know if you'll end up reading this but Nick, keep going because you're one of my favorite youtuber and your energy feels so unique and authentic. We love you Nick!
Welcome back king
the panoramic shots really amped up the tension
Twin Peaks was thriller, horror and comedy. Trap is a thriller and a comedy, and it's main character is Cooper, who was also a main character in Twin Peaks. That's what I'm going with.
Trap was a good time for me....
Trap was fun. I loved it.
I have not seen Trap yet but I plan to and i also refuse to believe it is as bad people online are dragging it out be if you are a Night fan then you know how to watch his movies and you also know he never takes himself that seriously say what you want but give credit where credit is due and acknowledge Night for at least trying something new and doing something different
Good for you for enjoying the film, the only real entertainment I got was from this was ripping through the plot holes/logic leaps with my friends after watching it.
I loved this movie as well. It's goofy and kinda stupid but I loved how enjoyable this movie was.
Finally, my kind of people lol. I can definitely see some of the criticism with the weird dialogue and acting choices, but I didn't really care! It was a fun movie and I had a blast watching it! Although, I did think it went on a little too long. Felt like the garage scene should've been the final moments of the film.
I saw this in theaters and I loved how I haven’t seen this concept done before. I was so worried that the trailer gave so much away, but you’re reassured that nothing was spoiled for you: we actually are following a serial killer. I feel like people get so angry with movies for being fun or different nowadays. I liked this a lot! And if someone else didn’t that’s okay, but we really need to support new original concepts like this because, sure, someone could’ve done this better. But this is a level of creativity that I didn’t envision before and I want to see more like this in the future!
Same 🤝
Trap was WAYYY Better Than I thought it would be!
I watched this with my brother and we kept guessing what would happen like when he was the driver, even when we knew what was gonna happen it was still so shocking 8.5/10 movie
Honestly I liked it. better than most movies that come out nowadays
The viewing experience was much enhanced by the fact that I went to the Yoasobi concert the night before seeing this. Even had similar seats to them, really helped ground the setting of the movie for me and made me wonder what the odds were that there was a killer at that concert too.
the family nature of this film with M Night and his daughter is neat
We enjoyed it as a fun thriller
Was it the best movie ever made? No.
Was it a fun ride till the end? Hell yeah!
Trap is a great movie experience. M.Night Shyamalan delivers a ridiculously entertaining thriller packed with twists, turns and surprises from start to finish. The selling point is Josh Harnett as the butcher, a distinguished performance from the seasoned actor, Shyamalan‘s audacious script gives Harnett the ability to cut loose in role. Blurring the lines between denial and insanity, Harnett is utterly engrossing as the infamous Butcher. The supporting cast do an affable job in their respective roles, particularly Ariel Donoghue as the Butcher’s daughter. The father/daughter relationship adds complex layers to the character of Butcher. The film isn’t perfect. The film isn’t perfect, during the second half he looses his grip on fluidity, relying too much on radical plot conveniences, that get quite silly and comical by the film’s end. Nonetheless the story ends with a very clever twist. If you can ignore the lack of logic, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the film’s ability to keep you guessing. Shyamalan maintains a healthy amount of suspense throughout. It’s worth watching once. I had a great time and I can’t wait to watch it again.
Glad so many are agreeing this is a good movie.
Cooper reminds me of an evil version of Fred from Scooby Doo
Honest opinion right after watching the movie: it was thrilling at some points, but it felt like there was no payoff at all... those "red herrings" in the end felt like a waste of time, some decisions are just... you really have to not expect anything really logical from this movie. It has a lot of build in plots, but no payoff... which absolutely makes it just... nothing really... i only felt the thrill from the movie, but don't expect any really good story from here.
It was so much fun seeing Trap (I forgot his name) use his cunning and intellect to be resourceful and get out of tricky situations. There were so few deus ex machinas; most of the time he survives because of his problem solving, like swiping the dude's badge and randomly testing out doors to over-oiling the fry machine to pretending to be a worker in a red apron when he scoped out the roof. My complaint is that it goes on a bit too long and they, for obvious reasons, incorporated Lady Raven into the story either a bit too much or a bit too little; she should have either been a minor character that has an interaction with our anti-hero, or been along for the ride up until the very end. Instead she plays a large part in the movie but gets abandoned at the end of the second act never to be seen again. It feels incomplete. The run-time was long too. Overall though it was a really fun time. And Trap, Josh Hartnett, is so good at his phony/fake smile "I'm grinning but inside I'm panicking and thinking of the best way to kill you if I have to" routine. Would watch again; currently trying to drag my incredulous friends to the theater.
Oh, and his name is "The Butcher" so if he's going to have a cleaver it should be this menacing gigantic steer-splitter; not something from the cheap-end from Cutco with a blade the size of an iPhone 13; the small one.
7/10
The way they set it for next part. I hope they make it better and I hope less lady raven next movie please I am seeing her coming back.
You are the guy who voices ice luigi in super fighter M
I was very pleasantly surprised by this movie. I went in expecting a 6/10 at most and ended up giving it a solid 8. Its a great watch, I dont know why people are hating on it, its a fun time!
I hate how people just forget that M. Night Shyamalan created some of the greatest movies ever made (The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and Signs).
I love that Kid Cudi had an opportunity here to do a satirical performance of Kanye (who he thinks is awful)
my favorite movie of the year
I loved that moviie
I also did don't dislike this movie like others are doing. It's a average movie but watchable because I am very picky with movies and I watched it whole says it is not that bad. Josh Hartnett performance was good
Finally someone who also liked the movie
Teeheee…I’m in the background of that movie!
Movie slaps, ppl just like to hate on Shyamalan movies. “Booo it’s lame and dumb-“ This is gonna be my Mario movie I swear.
I actually liked all the concert music, did m nights daughter write all that music? If so impressive! 😊😊
My only gripe is that the antagonistic force (here the police) were completely toothless. Their plan would never have worked.
i loveddd this movie
My review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Me: WTF?!
Omg I love that you used MGS2 music in the background for this review!!!!
This made me want to watch trap I’ll let you know what I think when I see it
It’s simple, those who want to see the perspective of the killer in a movie are likely to enjoy it just like myself and my dad. Those who come for gore and violence will not enjoy it
For me what i can say about the movie is
Amazing cast, amazing presentation, horrible plot execution
Way too boring at times and the biggest offender for me was that the butcher kept fleeing and it always left me asking “how did they not see him” its like some kind of plot armour that just leaves so many questions
Im glad people enjoyed it and I thought I would as well considering I love psychological thrillers and movies that have very stealthy scenes but unfortunately it was super underwhelming
I also loved it
1:51 exactly
finally a genuine review for this movie! i just dont understand all the hate for it, it was so much fun and the theater i was watching it in loved it. i saw a review that was criticizing how convenient everything was for cooper? that's classic main character! if all stories didnt have constant conveniences for the protagonist, how would they move along?
Hi
I agree with a majority of your points, but personally I struggled with the beginning of the movie and found myself enjoying the last act more. SPOILER ALERT, to me when Cooper was scouting the area it felt clumsy, unorganized, not something I would expect out of someone with his experience. In retrospect he obviously didn't know that it was a trap, but even so the manner in which he carried himself felt too awkward to me. I enjoyed the tenser, more drawn out scenes, as they allowed me to understand his character further. Watching him take notes of his mistakes and even asking his wife what the issue was, it felt very natural to me. Overall amazing movie and great experience. I'd love to rewatch it and take a dive into the script so I can further analyze. ^^
Crispy movie
I love trap movie
Boo stop giving things positive reviews, I watch you to reaffirm my belief that old movies were better not actual thoughtful critique!
I really liked trap. Yeah the twists were dumb but I feel like people let that ruin the experience too much.
5:35 men appreciation moment
Idk for some reason I feel like Josh kind of gives me a "human Michael Meyers" vibe because he kept escaping/ surviving. And maybe also because he was in H20, and he would technically be Michael's nephew. Shyamalan could def spin into that somehow if he got the rights &/or did a second film.
nick is alive
I’m kinda bummed people are hating on this too. I thought it was really fun, and a solid movie all around. I really like saleka and liked her way more than I initially thought I would. I really want a sequel now!!! I gotta know what happens after he escapes!!!!
It’s almost like people don’t want to enjoy things that are fun anymore.
@@angryox3102 people just really have it out for Shyamalan too I think. I’m not sure why but it’s just him in particular people are especially hard on.
I have a lot of critisism about this movie and idk if it is GOOD but i liked it a lot i had fun. The first half of the movie was great i loved the setup a lot!
Loved this movie. Saw it twice on opening day. Original IP with a retro thriller vibe. Count me in!
Spoiler (ish):
How was he going to get off the roof when he went up? Jump? And leave Riley behind? 😅
