takes more time to film and edit than it does to farm! Trust me! This is work....but the real work in bringing this stuff to ya is behind the scenes...countless hours of editing after the work is done!

You are 100% right, I think one of the hardest things about making these videos is compressing 3-4 hours worth of clips down to a 30 minute video. The work never stops but I’d take this work any day over a 9-5 ☺️

I agree with you both and trust you about the videos! I’ve never made videos! I’m working 12s welding and I pray one day I can have a farm of my own!! We have a green house on a small garden but no room to raise meat for food! But God takes care of us

It's funny how ya watch some vids on social media about rotational grazing and how easy it is...this time of year is the toughest in my opinion..the grass is starting to come on, but it's not knee deep....very easy to overgraze this time of year...I'm leaving mine on grass like yours for 6 hours at a time now...then back to the hay. Shrink up your paddock size and rotate them back and forth....small paddocks, short duration and rotate back and forth to the hay lot if ya can. OVERGRAZING TAKES FOREVER TO RECOVER! We'll be feeding hay in June if we don't watch! Great vid guys! Thanks for tagging me! Josh

    • @TrueGritAppalachianWays

yes overgrazing is absolutely horrible, thanks for watching and commenting, I hope you saw that we were still using a meat chicken tractor like yours, its worked for us for 5 years now, its amazing how fast grass will grow when its NOT overgrazed.

Your broken parts of your chicken tractor are really easy to fix, Just turn upside down and slice a couple tubes where yours is broken. First cut the broken out and slip over what you have making the splice a longer tube so that you can fill in the broken part.

what I treasure about your videos is it's not driven by drama / fear & remains a positive outlook ...the family content & how to is so rewarding .. I personally enjoy my carnivore life style , no sugar , carbs .. I do enjoy animal fat & meat .. I love the fact you don't cook with seed oils ! I also like when you eat from the nose to tail of the animals like our fore fathers did ... Canning meat has always interested me ... Hopefully I can beat cancer I am dealing with so I can do many things I haven't done yet .. in the mean time watching you fills the gap ....

Hello hard working family… the drought is horrible. We experienced a really bad drought here in Houston Texas and the bad thing about that is that the city put us on water preservation when we could use our water and mine is Thursday and Sunday and I looked at the water bill and they’re still requesting that you do that so I feel several 55 gallons of water on the off days just in case and also hope for rain we have a slight chance of rain today without eclipse ,so I’d rather have the rain..lol for my plants 🌱 🌱🌱🌱

I put together one of those stoney ridge pvc tractors some time ago. It broke, luckily bout that time I was watching gardening with Leon, so the pipe didn't go to waste and was recycled into wicking tub pipe. Wood for tractors is the way to go and Mr Joel will confirm. The look of that cream then turned into butter 👍👍.

You folk are doing a wonderful job at homesteading and the perfect life, truly an inspiration! I was wondering if you've ever tried something akin to a turkey baster for drawing cream off your milk, just a thought, but I know how you love your ladles!😊 the pvc chicken tractor is great, I'd cut some pvc sections in half lengthwise to make repairs and screw them on for reinforcement! Last another five years! And maybe some skid plate underneath the leading edges, maybe the 4 corners to avoid rough terrain! Thanks for sharing and God bless!❤❤

Black ABS pipes a lot strong for move in your line of work . Great little video, I roll off lobster 🦞 and crab 🦀 traps ropes use for your job . Every season I change out for new ropes because traps are very expensive to be loosing traps . Great 👍 little idea for your FREE RANGE CHICKENS 🐓 for organic chickens 🐓 feed . I would use 1/4 square wire because we got minks and weasel in the 709 . NO skunks 🦨, or raccoon 🦝 and snakes 🐍 in the ROCK 🪨 ( Newfoundland) 😊😊
