What Are Incels? The Radical Beliefs Behind The Plymouth Shooting | This Morning

It’s been confirmed as the UK’s deadliest mass shooting in over 10 years, leaving a town broken, and the entire country shaken. On Thursday evening in the Keyham area of Plymouth, gunman Jake Davison shot and killed five victims - including his own mother and a three-year-old girl - before turning the gun on himself. Two other victims remain in hospital. Davison has since been linked to a community known as 'incels’; a group of men who identify as "involuntary celibates" and blame women for their failure to find a partner. They have been connected to a number of violent acts around the world. But what is this worrying ideology? And how do we protect teenagers from harmful content like this online? We’re joined today by journalist Laura Bates who successfully infiltrated the group online, and criminologist Professor David Wilson.
