Its the same logic as stopping the people bringing in cigarettes (they aren't paying tax on them) but in reverse.

Imagine going for a flight and coming home to an audit. This is just wild
He was headed to China and caring boatloads of money. They are removing money from the economy and sending it over to a foreign country. That screws up the economy of a country. The same thing happens in the US. That’s why they’re so hard on this guy
I'd have a hard time enjoying myself while I was away.
The Beatles were in the 90% Tax Bracket in the U.K. and had to come to America and found out that "only the Little People pay Taxes" in America.
@@lilibethdoherty295Listen to Taxman...".. I'll tell you how it's going to be (Taxman)
".. there's one for you nineteen for me (Taxman)
That's the tax bracket that they jumped into n
why is it? Everyone should know the powers of customs IN EVERY COUNTRY in the globe.
I love how it’s so suspicious when people have a few thousand on them. First off, traveling is expensive and comes with expenses. Not everyone uses or has a credit card as well. Just going to a short weekend trip I’ll bring a good deal of money because (again) life’s expensive, if I don’t have to charge it I won’t and also I rather bring a little extra and be prepared.
Same! We have 8 kids so when we travel we take quite a bit. Also, one time we were in Puerto Rico's and they shut my husbands debit card off "due to suspicious activity" even thought we had called the bank before we left to let them know where we were traveling to. It was on a weekend so we coulent get it back on right away. Now we take a good amount of cash just in case
If the declaration any currency over 10,000 then they shouldn’t be giving people a hard time over 3,000 just because you can’t prove it right then and there. Some people save their money for travel especially if you don’t originate from that country. 3,000 is nothing today when traveling
Exactly! If they have too much they are suspicious if they have too little they are suspicious. My goodness they are like the mafia. Lol
Exactly! The limit of 10k is when you have to explain where it came from an blah blah, anything under should be no ones business that’s the whole point of the limit!
@@familyof1052 - if I were you I'd suspend all my business with that bank since Puerto Rico is PART OF THE US RESERVE SYSTEM (belongs to the Atlanta, GA branch) and we use the same U$ Dollars as they do in the 50 States.
PUERTO RICO IS NOT A FOREIGN COUNTRY!!!
The cigarettes will indeed be incinerated. One at a time.
Moral of these stories is if you are a drug mule bring 3 pairs of flip flops with you and keep changing them and throwing the other ones away. They detect drugs from the sweat in your shoes. They were kind enough to share that with us.
SO ABSOLUTELY.......THEY ARE EFFECTIVELY, FOLLOWING THE POLICY/PROCEDURES....DUTIES, ASSIGNED THEIR EMPLOYMENT.........👮⛓
7:07 They're just very heavy smokers. Probably a few hundred packs a day. Before I quit, I was burning through at least 600 to 700 packs a day
🤣🤣🤣
Wow its amazing that you're still alive and not succumbed to lung cancer

What's gray with bars and whose name starts with the letter j? It's the answer to where you'll be spending the night.

I can't even watch this show it's so aggravating!
I've noticed watching these shows is:
1) The officers always think everyone is "nervous", either they actually are or not.
2) There is always a trace of drugs
3) And almost anything the person does gives them grounds to step up the search to a higher level
These officers have way too much power and I see them regularly abusing it.
I don't like how they placate people found to have drugs or money or whatever. "It's all fine".
Don't ever trust public officials. Keep your guard up and assume they're all lying to you, or working on some form of entrapment.
Yeah, they abuse people as well but of course that won't be on camera...
I find it curious they often swab wallets looking for trace when it is well known that the entire money supply is contaminated with cocaine.
That’s kinda dirty .... they waited till they made into the car 🚙 then decided to bust them in the act. Just so they could take the car. To me that’s just wrong.
frostbitten Are you a criminal?
For real. I feel like their jurisdiction should only go as far as the automatic doors in the airport
they took the to check for drugs. i think
Using that logic they could of followed them home and took their house too, no
Jeremy and other morons on this cue, the officers clearly explained why they followed the suspected smugglers out of the airport but apparently, they used too many big words for your pea brains to comprehend. Do some research online concerning police tactics and investigative techniques and you might not sound so ignorant next time you are feeling sorry for smugglers.
I love how they just accused the couple randomly and then says surprisingly they found nothing
Only scanned the one bag .. the old lock on a empty bag trick .... distraction technique 👌 ... absolute pros 👏
Jesus I’m ALWAYS scared whenever I go through security let alone customs. Guess I ain’t going to Bristol
They make a lot of assumptions dont they? They assumed that the unemployed fella couldnt afford a holiday to Jamaica. How do they know that his redundancy package didnt amount to a huge dollop of cash?
Must be rigged
They really scrutinized the crap out of someone just travelling.
love going through customs and pissing them off after going all over the planet and having stayed in top hotels and telling them i'm a factory worker i drag out telling them i've won lotto
