i loved how transparent you were with prices. I love living in Toronto and its hard to find UA-camrs that are real with renting and such. still wouldn't want to live anywhere else 🤷🏽♀️
I’m so glad I found this video! I’m tired of people suggesting 1800-1900 rent and stating that dishwasher is a must. I am gonna move alone and I think a studio away from downtown is perfect 👌🏼
I’m absolutely astonished! Rent for the same style apartment in Peterborough, a university town just 2 hours from Toronto, would be $1,200 at least with no utilities! I’m a local & I can’t afford to move out of my parents house because even a basement apartment without a kitchen is over $1000! This is really wild to me, always thought if Peterborough was so expensive than Toronto would be double for half the space so I love being able to see this!
Rent where I live in Newmarket is crazy cheapest is like $1900 up to $2500 if you have a family and need to rent a house the rent is insane including utilities.
I’m currently looking for a place right now and I found spacious 1 bedrooms For $1,287 and I live in Toronto and the place is in don mills and Sheppard
Wow 1,100 in Toronto! I live in Texas which is supposedly a relatively cheap city and I can’t get out of paying 1300+ for an apartment no utilities included. Prices are skyrocketing all over the place. When I first moved out my parents house in this same city(2012) I would pay 700 for a 3 bedroom house. 🤦🏽♀️ my pocket is quaking!! Can’t wait for the decor vlog!!💗🌈
I moved 5x in the last 2years and a half cos I can’t find my real happiness, I know im crazy. Now im looking for one closer to Toronto. Im in Etobicoke right now.
Congrats on the new apartment! If you don't mind me asking, what part of Toronto/GTA is the place at? I'm curious since it's pretty much a stretch getting a place downtown for that price so it has to be in one of Toronto's other areas lol
I wish I had more of an idea as to which area this is since i al currently looking for apartments to rent.. but I understand for privacy reason it’s complicated. Anyway, great find !!!
just a little warning that if you don't have a good job here or good money do not expect that things will come easy for you, Canada is literally hell, you have to work hard to get anything yet not enough. I say this because of what I saw my mom and other new immigrants do, they don't want to finish school so they go straight to work until it's too late to go back to study and now they are stuck with having 3 jobs to pay rent. good luck and be smart
Room divider? I'm lmfaooooooo :D. Might as well live with your parents. Do online learning if you're a student. Stay out of Toronto or get a drug addiction and apply for social housing if you wanna save money.
Sarah Dunk Thanks for clarifying! I thought this was an apartment you were both living in full time, and I assumed the mattress was just always well hidden lol. Love your videos 💕
Hello mam ❤️ I love the way u provide information ❤️. I want to talk to you please help me to choose good apartment in downtown Toronto 😊 please mam.. I am indian and we want to stay in apartment
I’m sorry but this was not helpful at all - there is nothing for the prices you state anywhere in the GTA. Affordable housing is a crisis. People shouldn’t expect to find miracle deals like this. This just comes off as bragging. And driving around looking for For Rent signs is not a good plan when you only have till the end of the month. Not to mention if you don’t already live in the area, this isn’t an option.
Lexophile - Driving around was actually the best advice that we got as you're able to find apartments that don't post online. "there is nothing for the prices you state anywhere in the GTA"
Dylan Yang almost everything on that front page is a room rental. There were 2 results that were actual places. Fine, I shouldn’t have generalized and said nothing, but every affordable rental usually has a bidding war and ends up going for more in my experience. And my point is unless you already live there and have the time and means to drive around, then it’s not really an option.
Sarah Dunk you had the time and means to drive around and look. AND you kind of got lucky. Doesn’t mean everyone who tries will find a place like this.
Who's excited for vlogs in the new place?! 👀
Theres a sneak peek at the very end!
Hi Sarah, would you kindly share the name of the building and the street?☺️
i loved how transparent you were with prices. I love living in Toronto and its hard to find UA-camrs that are real with renting and such. still wouldn't want to live anywhere else 🤷🏽♀️
It's definitely an expensive city but I love it!
I also want to immigrate in Canada mam

That 3 bedroom sounds like it was a steal!
Of a lifetime I tell you! Wish I could time capsule rent

Maybe I missed it, but what area is this apartment in?
I don't think you mentioned what neighbourhood or the apartment name. now that you're no longer there.. do you mind sharing?
Congrats on the new apartment! If you don't mind me asking, what part of Toronto/GTA is the place at? I'm curious since it's pretty much a stretch getting a place downtown for that price so it has to be in one of Toronto's other areas lol
yup, would love to know the place as well. DOwntown is too expensive!
"Great for not working from home". Oh boy, those words... glad the next person had the balcony at least once the pandemic hit
the aEsTHeTicS in this video were pOpPIn ✨✨

Anyway, great find !!!
Omg i literally clicked on this because i was interested but then i realized i also know your boyfriend and am subscribed to his channel
I want an apartment now
Toronto has now doubled its rent. Everything over $2,000 per month with hydro extra
was the studio your office or actual apartment ehere you loved etc?
I'm new here :)
I live in Toronto with my husband, and I pay $1160 JUST FOR A ROOM!!!
My dream is to move to Canada so I’m just here trynna figure out how imma make it😂

not bad because in new york city its impossible to get an apartment at that price
An apartment like this would cost about $3000 in the US. This is yet another reason why Canada is superior.
where do you live before you move out to toronto ???
which area is this? I've been looking for the past month in Parkdale and anything similar to this would be 1300.. 200 isn't much but still....
What part of Toronto is it? And how much would you have to make to be able to live comfortably in an apartment like this alone?
Most people suggest making 3x your rent to be comfortable
What part of Toronto is this? (I live in Toronto and am curious.)
Room divider? I'm lmfaooooooo :D. Might as well live with your parents. Do online learning if you're a student. Stay out of Toronto or get a drug addiction and apply for social housing if you wanna save money.
Hiii...I'd like to know the location of the apartment in toronto.
thank u for starting the vlogs!
Am confused where did you sleep
We didn't sleep here as we used the space as an office/ studio!
We did buy a sofa bed though just incase, it was good to have the option.
Where did you sleep then
Sarah Dunk ohhh i didn’t realise lol
We want a thrift haul from your last vid please
Hello 👋 can you please tell me where it is?
Is there water pipe beside the toilet 🚽? Or just use toilet paper?
What neighborhood is this ?? I’m midtown and I pay way to much
The landlord was like bye bih 😂
In which area is this?
Hi @sarahdunk ! How much do you pay for fuel for the car a month?
every place i do find that's in my budget says "single occupancy only" :')
Super serious question.. where did you sleep because I’m confused 😅🤯
We used this space as an office so we didn't need a full bed. Our grey couch is a pull-out though!
Sarah Dunk Thanks for clarifying! I thought this was an apartment you were both living in full time, and I assumed the mattress was just always well hidden lol. Love your videos 💕
You're so cute and creative ❤️❤️❤️I just love your videos 💜
Dua Kazmi thank youuuu 💖

For that price I could get a villa in Southern Europe near the seaside
Is that electric heat? Oh geez...more like $200/month in hydro
Did you guys sleep on the pull out sofa?
Devonee McCafferty if we had to sleep there yes!
Sarah Dunk so awesome to see your growth :):)

Too be honest 1100 a month for that is still expensive but it’s Toronto I guess that would be close too 700-800 out of Toronto
Omg you're sooo freaking cute 🥺
show the apt not your face
