Bring back the Crown Vic w/ AWD 2020
An AWD P71 Vic with a 7.3 V8 would murder the 5.7 Pursuit Charger
@@archdornan4389 how about a high powered EcoBoost and electric drivetrain V6 AWD? And have it just be the old frame untouched
@@Zynet_Eseled Because the Ecoboost is an engine that is high maintenance and low durability due to it being pushed close to its limits from the factory.
The Ecoboost is ultimately an engine for consumer applications, not ideal for commercial/govt applications.
@@archdornan4389 this is for a civilian model. Obviously the police one is the unkillable v8
# FORD CROWN VICTORIA #1
Crown Vic for life baby :) "Cuz I was born this way"
Bought a 2015 with 85k miles from an auto auction; put 8k into it so far best purchase I made ever on a vehicle. Even though I made need around another 1500 to get her inspected and up to consumer regulations it handles far better than my other cars 2019 Jeep compass, 2019 Toyota 4runner and feels like it's calibrated to take off and move swiftly with no regards to external issues such as potholes, weather and the AWD & maintenance is seemless.
Nice! Enjoy your vehicle, Abahs Al-dafaai, and thanks for watching!
Make a video about bringing the Ford Crown Victoria 2020 back!!
YO GREG!!!! THE CROWN VIC IS BETTER HANDS DOWN!!!!!!!! START MAKING THEM AGAIN!!!!
The Ford Crown Victoria is King of the road! All the new cars are $hit on wheels! Ford Broke the mold when they made that car cause nothing will top it ever,. Why Can't you just bring it back and update it?!?!?!
King baby!!
billy butcher the explorer is great dude wdym
You've obviously never driven a P71, or perhaps you have one and it is the only car that was more advanced than your 1994 Mazda 323 with no A/C?
I'm a true GM guy, But proudly sitting in my driveway are 3 YES 3, Police crown vics !! One is a fully equipped blk and white unit with LED light package and cage. It's going to a car collector in Europe
I feel like these things would be good for acceleration and handling, but what about top speed? The cars being lower profile, would likely have less wind resistance at high speed, and thus be faster at top end.
No donut holder? Bummer!
LOL
Bruh, that's why they're column shift, so you can eat, drive, and shift.
I gotta go with every one else on here, The Crown Victoria is the best money can buy. Ford needs to bring it back! Better!! The new cars suck badly. So Greg needs to step up his game and sell something good,. Whisper in Greg's ear,. Make the Crown VIc,."If you build it they will come".. CROWN VIC! "I had a dream" CROWN VIC!!!!!!!
Bring the vic back with AWD, electronic stability control, traction control(even though some vics has this to replace the power pedals), and all the other new technology fot it. If not a vehicle very similar to the legendary crown vic.
All them lights..... Jeremy Dwitte would be proud 👏
lol that ending
Ha! Thanks for watching, Simon Vuille!
I feel like a hybrid police vehicle won't work well. Police interceptors eat through Batteries like you wouldn't believe already
There are usually two separate types battery’s in hybrid vehicles one for the power train and normally two to power electronics like the radio, lights, starter etc.
@@dylanstrang4540 yup. Correctomundo. No hybrids eat through batteries as well. Alot of idle time under a hot engine when the vehicle is idling and then all the load far more than a regular car. The batteries also get drawn down alot when using lighting and radios when the alternator is not making power.
I used a VW beetle.. But the Crown Vic is Better!!
Ford did their homework with this new pursuit-rated Explorer. Since Ford ditched the Taurus sedan, cops will drive Explorer SUVs or F-150 trucks.
GM quit making the Caprice & Impala, so their options limit officers to the Silverado or Tahoe.
The Dodge Charger is the only pursuit-rated sedan on the market for 2020, I suppose.
Weres The Cage
We believe this vehicle was configured more as a detective car with the light bar added. Cages will be available though. Thanks for watching!
Wow this Ford Explorer is looking very nice and beautiful amazing video well done 😊😊❤️❤️👍👍
Thanks for watching, shaheer shujaat!
@@AutoAcademics my pleasure 😊😊❤️❤️👍👍
We all know this is a joke on wheels hahahahahaha,. CROWN VIC IS BOSS

In most states ots legal but it is not allowed tp turn on the siren or lights
You can buy one when the police get done with them. There are tons of Crown Vics still around that are now taxi cabs.
True. We figured those asking wanted to buy one new. That's a no-no, but they'll be happy to auction one off to you with 500k miles running on 3 cylinders. LOL Thanks for watching, pedro fernandez!
I don’t want to buy a police I want to be the police 😂😂
🤣🤣
Now I love buying police cars, But all the new police cars suck,.. I stick with the Crown vic. It's way better and will last a lot longer then all these new cars. CROWN VIC 4 LIFE BRAH!!
I read the vast majority of 2020 interceptors are being ordered with the non hybrid 3.3L V6, so they will be losing 20hp and 20lbft torque over the standard 2019's 3.7L V6, so most will be slower.
ron mortensen Looking at Michigan State Police testing: 2019 0-60 is 7.81, 2020 0-60 is 7.84. 2019 is faster up to 60, 2020 is faster 60-100. 2019 top speed is 133, 2020 top speed is 137. So not all that different. I’m guessing the 10-speed transmission and RWD architecture helps the less powerful 3.3 engine.
I have a really important question, would security companies be able to purchase this vehicle? I know private citizens can't but I was wondering for mobile patrol security.
We honestly don't know, Alaskan Patriot. Try contacting your local Ford Dealer and see if that's possible. Thanks for watching!
@@AutoAcademics Thank you for the info.
@@alaskanpatriot6530 No problem!
Yes you can as long as you meet Ford's "Fleet" requirement of 10 or more vehicles. You will need to apply, then once approved, they will issue you an account number to be able to purchase these new.
Are there two different tones in blue lighting? I can see very bright Icy blue and purplish blue from time to time.
Unfortunately, we do not know, Harry Kang. Thanks for watching!
Greg!! Stop selling $hit!! Bring back the Crown vic!!!!!!!
You can buy these as a civilian
Not do I want.....Can I buy?!
Unfortunately, the general public can't buy one. Law enforcement only, Ti10. Thanks for watching!
You'll have to wait at least 3 years in most areas to get a decent used one.
Looks like a Subaru Forester at the back.
I heard that there is a possibility for a new crown vic from ford by 2025 but dont expext thr old big boat rear wheel v8 ot will be hybride or v6 ecoboost and with new modern design like the charger
Find it funny that police agencies ask for larger vehicles, so SUV/CUVs became more prominent... then Ford made the 2020 Explorer just as short (height-wise) as the Crown Victoria and Taurus... ???... Just bring back the Crown Vic, Ford!
Price?
Very useful for speed traps. The height is just ideal from the driver side window to aim that puppy straight at clean record drivers on a six lane lonely low traffic street at 11 PM. Those features sure help with that.
i'm not a law enforcement officer...but i'll be looking for one for sale in next few years...
Thanks for watching, gungfuriceboy!
So is it available for private citizens or not? Other than the lights, what equipment is not available to private citizens?
No, as we stated at the end, it's not available to private citizens, Cuervo Vallejo. Everything from the tires, wheels, brakes, seats, ballistic panels, gear selector, doors, engine/transmission cooling and calibration, heavy-duty suspension, and yes, the lights are all different. It's not a garden-variety Explorer. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Not until it's decommissioned. You will have to wait at least 3 years to get a decent used one in most areas.
Thanks
I liked the last generation FPIU better. :( Too bed their gone. :( :( :(
Can anyone buy it or only for law enforcement personnel?
Unfortunately, only law enforcement can buy one, Rambo Delajoya. Thanks for watching!
Rambo Delajoya I’d never heard like this stupid question
@@AutoAcademics So, individual law enforcement officer can buy it or for the law enforcement department? It seemed to me this advertisement has purpose for Law Enforcement Departments and not for individual officer.
@@rambodelajoya2195 Only law enforcement departments or municipal authorities (city/state/federal government) can purchase these, not individual officers or consumers.
@@AutoAcademics That make sense. Thanks you!
Only government agencies can buy a new Interceptor better known as K8A.
damn it that sucks
U can buy them after they put them in cars action.
There are 8 of them for sale at NJ. Anyone can buy them. I drove there bought one and shipped it to my state .
Most of them under 15k miles.
# Crown vic
i wonder if this engine has that water pump issue?
Nope completely different engine with the waterpump mounted externally. But the waterpump isn’t an issue that everyone makes it seem like I’m going into 160k on the original waterpump my buddy is going on 300k on his!
Brah!! The Crown Victoria is King of the Highway,.. Bring it back! Get rid of this $hit haha
RIGHT ON!!!!!!!!
This thing makes short work of the Crown Vic.
These are cool but yea I agree
Too bad the transmission dies after 20k miles
Lol. 7:09
What is the max speed?
Just under 150
Jajajajaja! He is locked!
LOL
Thanks for watching, Jose Marino!
Almost had it right. Should of had a V8
WTH is level IV+ ?
Too bad Goodyear does not car about the police as much as the police care about Goodyear.
Lol wtf is the purpose of this review? Normal people cant even buy this.
Because, believe it or not, there are some people who are interested in police cars and the tech that comes in them, Jack Liu. This includes city commissioners and other municipal workers who CAN actually purchase these. Sorry to disappoint you, but thanks for watching, anyway.
My name is Greg Ebel That`s E B E L Why is he carrying a water bottle he isnt drinking from it.? Does it give him more power or credibility?
Criminals are just going to keep a, hex wrench on them to take that off and get away.
Also why no push button start?
When A officer is in a hurry to a call the last thing they wanna do is jam the keys in the ignition, when they could just push a button and go like, Dodge has on their- Chargers.
It's because police fleets want their cars to be as simple as possible.
9 times out of 10 the cars are always on but the doors are locked.
You act like using a key ignition is so archaic. Poor thing!
Crown Vic ... End of story....
Just buy a ST
Yup. That'll provide the performance that fans of this police package are looking for. Thanks for watching, Sam D!
What is this Shit?!?!?!?!! Bring back the Crown Victoria!!!!!!!!
At least Ford decided to go back to RWD based design. The previous generation Explorer and now defunct Taurus which was a FWD based design is pure garbage because of the weak automatic transmission and timing chain driven water pump.
Both of those could come in awd too.
Eatery is are really not an issue I’m going on too 160k on mine with just regular oil changes my. Dust is going on 300k on his with regular tune ups and oil changes
Fuck electric vehicles its a gimmick
