On the street corner: - Hey, look, that cop in civilian clothing is eyeballing us hard... - Oh he does? - Now he's saying something in his radio, look normal! Meanwhile, in the car: - HURRR DURRR, I'M MR. REGULAR, BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH - Yeah, that'll do.
You live in Sweden, the Volvo V70 is the most common car in the country. The most common police cruiser is also the Volvo V70. Trust me, on Swedish roads, you NEVER know when an undercover cop is about, because every tenth car is a potential cop.
That kinda explains why i always feel like I'm driving a cop car when i use my 2008 s60 (the interiors on these models are the same, as far as i can gather) )))
Here in Finland the police use many different sedans and wagons, at least Ford Mondeo, Toyota Avensis, Skoda Octavia and others, but the most common is a VW Transporter van. Police have most of with decals and lights, some of them just plain white with lights and some are "undercover" without any decals and lights. Every time i see some sort of a white van that looks even remotely like VW, my first reaction is to check my speed...
Oross Dénes Well his Dad is a real American hero then if he had the power to convince Mr. R that a car by the name of "Neon" was the manly American choice
I can relate! I just bought a 2015 Police Interceptor Utility (retired Michigan State Police vehicle). People have a tendency to slow WAY down when I come up behind them. One individual was obviously scrambling to put his seat-belt on!
I knew a guy that brought one of those Crown Vics and he liked to shine the light on teenagers that hung out and smoked pot behinds buildings and watch them run away. It was pretty funny.
This guy looks like he is nearly 300 pounds, has his seat all the way back, somehow qualified as a firefighter and choose to keep a Police Interceptor as his vehicle so he could legally put a light bar into it, this guy screams "I wanna be a cop but i don't want to work for it." hell you can be a volunteer fire fighter and be allowed to drive something set up like this. and he wants ford factory dealer to turn off his day time running lights so he can look even more like a police officer, somebody has a serious small dick problem.
well I don't know the size of his... manhood, but this scares me. I too am a volunteer, but its people and situations like this that give us all a bad name. Yes, many times our vehicles will end up looking very much like police vehicles, however the key is the power dynamic. As a FF or EMT, you have to respect the fact that you are allowed to do these things. You cannot and should not abuse your lights. Nor should you make yourself appear to be a police officer by doing things like say things on the radio to appear that you are a police officer. Not only is that putting yourself in a dangerous situation, but if his radio actually goes somewhere just keying it up is wasting airtime. I want people to realize that even the buffs and whackers, (and I am a buff) don't take it to this level, and I don't want people to think that we are all like this guy, pretending to be police officers.
City, State, Sheriff all have Explorers where I am in VA. They also still rock the good ol' Crown Vic. But I am seeing more and more of those Taurus cars now. I like to ask the officers what their favorite interceptor is. Most actually say the Crown Vic.
no shit, this was one of the most enjoyable POV drive vids I've seen! really fascinating to see the many parts of your home town whilst I drop some brown.
You become your own rolling roadblock everywhere you go.... like when I first bought my Crown Vic many, many years ago (_when they were still in widespread service_). Nothing like heading down the highway into a jurisdiction that currently uses whatever car and watching people slow down to exactly 1 over the limit. Still happens to me; though, rarely nowadays. In that case, I have to just change lanes and haul ass, at which point they hear the *complete lack of any mufflers* and realize I'm just pounding miles in my comfy land barge. I've thought about looking into ordering a PI Taurus for a new car. It's just an option package you have to know to ask for, which gives you the good brake set up from the SHO but heavy duty suspension and cooling packages and a handful of other features. Would definitely want to put aftermarket wheels on.
I miss when the cops all had Caprice Classics. It was super easy to identify them at night, since they had unique headlights. I could see them "a mile" away.
NWBackcountry I wouldn't know. My local metro area PD was Ford CV from '92 or so until the mid 2000s when they went to the Impala for the majority of their patrol cars, keeping a handful of then-current CVs for specialty purposes. Now they've gone back to Fords for regular patrols, using both the Taurus and Explorer (and F150s and Ram trucks for CSI and event coordination units). That's in addition to numerous other unmarked cars like Nissan Titans, Toyota Camrys, and even some real sneaky shit like when they ran Dodge Avengers with alloys and limo tint or fully loaded "Chrome Edition" Maximas on shiny-ass 20" wheels. Then their drug task force cars could be anything from a new Infiniti to a clapped out '97 Navigator. County and city forces outside the metro seem to equally use Chargers, Tauri, and Explorers. There is one small area that runs *TDI Passats* as they're in county but have their own police department that isn't related to the larger metro force. The speed limit there is like 25 and that's legitimately all you can ever do so they don't need speed anyway.
I drive a retired 2011 Chevy Malibu PPV Blacked out with dark Tints and my god people literally shit their pants when I'm on the road scared to pass me no one is on my bumper and traffic is literally behind me like 200 ft. If I merge behind someone I can see them turn onto the next street or merge to the next lane
The switch on the shifter drops gears for pulling with massive low end torque.. The steering is electric.. No power steering unit.. If your battery dies, you have no steering.. And the gears are 6 speed in the transmission.. I drive a 2014, and she's pretty sweet..
GM has had them since at least the 90's on all of their vehicles, Ford only puts them on Canadian models, and I don't remember Chryslers having them in the U.S. either.
I've driven CVPI's, Chargers and the explorer interceptor and out of those 3 my favorite is the Charger. My duty belt sits very nicely in the Charger seat.
Many years ago the company I worked with, we all had Rover 800 series in white we all had extra antennas for the car-phones and two-way radios etc the police used the same make and models as well and you could sit in the inside lane and nobody speed past us plus if you were in a hurry to get somewhere everyone got out your road.
just a heads up Mr Regular your going to have to be more aggressive to survive uk traffic, its due to the lack of space on our roads, sticking the nose in right on or just beyond the line.
Water pump issues Water pumps on transversely mounted 3.5L V6, 3.5L EcoBoost V6, and 3.7L V6 engines have a tendency to fail and potentially ruin the engine when they do. The water pumps on these engines are internally mounted and driven by the timing chain. As a result, when they fail, antifreeze is dumped directly into the crankcase; mixing with engine oil and potentially damaging the head gaskets and connecting rod bearings. Many of these water pump failures occur without warning and repairs often cost thousands of dollars as the engine needs to be disassembled or removed from the vehicle to access the water pump. In some cases, the engine will need to be replaced outright. A class action lawsuit was started against Ford as a result of this issue, but it was dismissed and no recall was given. That kinda explains why i always feel like I'm driving a cop car when i use my 2008 s60 (the interiors on these models are the same, as far as i can gather) )))
Same with Dacia here in Romania. It's the to-go fleet car for any kind of business and also the middle-class family car.
Here in Finland the police use many different sedans and wagons, at least Ford Mondeo, Toyota Avensis, Skoda Octavia and others, but the most common is a VW Transporter van.

Same with VW Passat station wagon here in Germany (or BMW 3 station wagon).
So, Mr. Regulars' dad is a pilot. Not sure what to do with that information, but I'll regard it valuable nevertheless.
"Those are vintage glasses"
" _I'm a vintage guy_ "
VINTAGE BROWN
"FREEDOM AIN'T FREE" -Dad
And then you realize he had a second gen Neon, so it's possible that Mr. Regular really wanted a Honda Prelude...
Oross Dénes Well his Dad is a real American hero then if he had the power to convince Mr. R that a car by the name of "Neon" was the manly American choice
"Why is that cop wearing a GoPro on his head??"
Takuro Spirit they're really taking prevention of police brutality to a new level
I can relate! I just bought a 2015 Police Interceptor Utility (retired Michigan State Police vehicle). People have a tendency to slow WAY down when I come up behind them. One individual was obviously scrambling to put his seat-belt on!
Same, I have a retired Michigan State police Tahoe 😂
Lol, faking a radio call in a police interceptor in front of a bunch of teenagers
On one hand, really kind of a dick move
On the the other, we both know that'd we'd do the exact same shit if we had the chance
I knew a guy that brought one of those Crown Vics and he liked to shine the light on teenagers that hung out and smoked pot behinds buildings and watch them run away. It was pretty funny.

Y'know must be funny to do that a couple of times, but it seems that the owner does it a couple of times PER DAY lol

Nice POV of driving the Poilce Expoler. Engine sounds nice when you push it. Can't wait to get mines.
3:46 the inner fear of impersonating an officer comes out
Putting on his blinker way before he needs to
"Oh look they're doing a train..."
*giggity*
Angel S he said running didn't he?
George Jordan even better lol
Irregular Train Reviews.
8:14 "crown vic" hahahahaha

@@nwbackcountry5327 Ford gave us the 2020 explorer for that

Is it just me, or is the steering in this vehicle misaligned? Seems to not centre properly...
This is one of the most badass vehicles there is. I got one, I wouldn't trade it for a Lamborghini, nuff said.
Same 3.5l. I’m keeping mine forever
It would be really cool if you reviewed the Amish horse & buggy at 3:52-4:09.
The owner/your copilot is my kinda dude. Very chill. "My apologies if I kick you....*woosh*"
The switch on the shifter drops gears for pulling with massive low end torque..

THE ALIGNMENT IS OUT :(
significantly less roomy once all the police crap and laptop etc is in there. the Taurus is way worse though
Bad cops bad cops, what you gonna do,what you gonna do when they come ford you
Deividas Prunskas dope AF

I see someone's a fan of breaking benjamin ^:)
at 13:45, inspiration struck for Regular Train Reviews? Could start right in Kutztown.
It's funny because the passenger was talking about aviator shades and the old licoln version of this car is called the aviator
DRLs are not standard in the US? We've required them in Canada since 1989.
Mark Lister Some US states require them and some don't, but since this car was made for police, the DRL's are disabled from the factory.
Getting Eugene vibes from the passenger. Damn I miss The Walking Dead.
Shinidoshi
well no fucking shit.
He called it a crown Vic at 8:17
Viva Crown Victoria P71. America's cop car. Still the best Interceptor.
When you said "let's take care of uhh" in the beginning, what were you programming?
That rattle is driving me nuts.
The passenger reminds me of John Cody in Lampoons Vacation
when are you going to do a cobalt ss
5:56 I absolutely agree on every word on Robocop and Dredd.
They still make column shifters???
James Smith only for police spec vehicles. Radio banks take the space of floor shifters.
James Smith base model f150 and some Superduty trucks have column shifters!
James Smith I think you can include any fleet/work vehicle. I was specifically talking about Explorer and Taurus models.
Kyle Linardo some trucks still use them
Dropped down fast? That makes no sense. You mean it shift up fast?
The police interceptor looks nice, drives like a mini van and is so big most people cant park it.
Is yours a older one?
I had a 1989 Lincoln Town Car which was even bigger than this. I found it quite simple to park. If I can't park this then there's a problem lol.
Many years ago the company I worked with, we all had Rover 800 series in white we all had extra antennas for the car-phones and two-way radios etc the police used the same make and models as well and you could sit in the inside lane and nobody speed past us plus if you were in a hurry to get somewhere everyone got out your road.
on highway 50 i saw a beautiful red falcon cruising (last week). i've only seen two in all the years living there
People who drive with two hands CLEARLY have less confidence in they’re driving capabilities
Lmao
The owner reminds me of The Roman
I was told to stay away from that car because they are "rattletraps". I did hear your dash rattling on the video??
Wait what, column shifters making a come back?
Timothy Brown no
Timothy Brown The police version has a column shifter because the console takes up the space where the shifter would be in the regular car.
So many little mistakes pissed me off. Ecotech is gm it's a interceptor utility not a crown vic etc
God I can tell you watch so much RLM and it tickles that other side of me so much
Why would you were a puffy blue jacket when you knew your driving a crown victoria?
Manuel Silva 😂🤣😂
wow lots of cabin noise or is that the go pro ?
That is probably one of the interior light bars rattling. I drive one for work, the rear gate trim on mine is infuriatingly loud and squeaky.
The title of the video is like a 5 Gum ad
Is it just me or is that not the Regular Laugh?
just a heads up Mr Regular your going to have to be more aggressive to survive uk traffic, its due to the lack of space on our roads, sticking the nose in right on or just beyond the line.
You needed a MAD MAX leather jacket and a pair of mirrored motorcycle-cop shades...
The Explorer police vehicle may be roomy, but it will NEVER have the same flair and durability as the legendary Crown Victoria, and it lacks a V8.
That dry steering :'(
Yes!!!!!!! The Karl Urban Judge Dredd remake was the SHIT!!!
Hipster glasses? no way! :D
it takes the right person to drive around in a police vehicle and be mature enough to respect it. 99% of cops do not fit this description.
Makes me think the owner is like I WANNABE A COP
Caio Garcia actually, the owner is a REAL Firefighter.
digitalrailroader he needs to be a Calorie Fighter instead
Yeah it was mentioned on the video, but still wannabe a cop... it's impossible to not notice that
but he uses it for practical reasons and not for roleplay
Unknown Horror lmfao hahahahaha
passenger needs to put down the soda
Is it me or does it look like the alignment is wrong
Did mr regular buy a nd miata?
"Crown vic" its an "ford explorer"
I drive a lot of these. I work on mtp cop cars, as well as Lancaster sheriffs. I can stand the interceptor sedans tho. too tight. not enough room.
How reliable do you think a retired one is? Im interested in buying one from a dealer.
