Hi im in Upstate New York and was curious how you got your first few jobs. I have a deposit on a mini excavator and would love some advice. Thanks and love the videos.
Hi there, Steve Always happy to answer your questions the best I can. If you followed along, I’m a bit of a newbie myself. Only about two years. But to answer your question I had a friend of mine that had an excavator, and he hired me to do some work with him on a few jobs until I got started. my best recommendation is Angie’s list under Demolition and gravel and loose fill. I also check major grading. I have a $300 a month budget and it seems to pay for itself. I don’t get a block of direct calls even though I have a Google business listing. hope this helps you get started
Hey Tim I did not but it is a diy bucket. I paid $200 for it and use it all the time. The only neg is that when you close the thumb on a small piece they don’t meet at the tip because they cut the teeth off. Works great for taking big bites but hard to pick up small single pieces It is on my “Things to make better list” lol
Hey James, I get those from Amazon. In groups of 500 I think I get them for about $.15 apiece. You also need a 30 penny nail. I usually space them about 15 feet apart Be sure to come back if you have any other questions. Glad to help.

I have a Deere 50D metal track hoe. Like that bucket, looks handy.

I love the bucket. I use it all the time. Thanks so much for the comment. Good luck on your JD 50.
