My first ever computer build in 2018 was a 4th gen HP pavilion swap. PC had a Memphis 2 motherboard that was a standard called uATX and it wasn't this difficult to swap because it fit a ATX case just fine, I only needed some jumper pins to get rid of the warnings on boot up but everything else was a breeze and just worked. I remember the case was made by Deepcool and I had a GTX 1060 in it and i7 4690 16 GB ddr3 1600 it gamed pretty well. I eventually sold it to this farmer at my yard sale who had kids, it went to a good home and was well loved I'm sure. :)
Dell in a (nut)shell! 😂 Love seeing someone else trying to evade this proprietary BS. Had some adventures with HELL, HP & IBM (+Lenovo) Love your content! ❤😊
4:13 for anyone thinking about dping this and reusing it I did and it will never be the same again so think twice u can’t put it back after pulling it out
I took the old office pc from work. It had an i5 4570 in it. Yeah.... it bottlenecked a 1650 super. I'm not the one to use that word for every situation. But when the cpu is maxed at 100% and thermal throttling while the gpu is only at best, 50% utilized... There is a major bottleneck.
the biggest problem with this build is the motherboard. propriatary. the back I/O sheild is part of the original chassis and it has the front USB. I would have left it in the original case. the new chassis is one brand I've never heard of... I'll have to investigate that brand... pretty chassis with the mirrored glass...
Yes, it's perfectly safe. Dell is using the exact same cables, but just removed a couple. The adapter is literally the same cables, but soldered and fitted inside a 6-pin plastic housing
Am I too weird that the one thing I like the most about these office PCs is how the actual case looks? Good fun video and I am glad everything worked out in the end. A bit too sketchy for me to do anything like that, it would ANNOY THE HELL out of me knowing that some things are not "perfect". I guess something is wrong in my head. Does it natively support Windows 11 or did you have to do anything special when re installing it? Thanks for a fun video and F to Dell indeed for all the proprietary things.

I just found your video and I love the way you call out DELL as being a bunch of money hungry jerks that use proprietary bs like Apple!!!

YEAAHHHHHHHH HELL YEAAAAHH 🗣🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Could you try doing some builds with hp z2 g4 towers?
So, despite you using a 5060 in the vid, a 3070 and a 7040 would still work with this guide as well?
Yes, as long as they're from the same generation
@@crimsontechyt Gotcha. Thanks for the reply
Is it ok with that psu adapter 6pin.? Could it harm to the mb.? Because the original psu has 260w all the power connects to the mb..
Yes, it's perfectly safe. Dell is using the exact same cables, but just removed a couple. The adapter is literally the same cables, but soldered and fitted inside a 6-pin plastic housing
Wait, you didn’t clean out the original paste and re-apply?
Nvm, temps are good, as you report
if this is old what is my optiplex 7020 with intel i5 4th gen
my optiplex 3040 doesent want its skin ripped off😔
I mean just buy like a ryzen combo for 100 bucks to avoid this?
That's a great option! But most places outside the US don't have a huge second hand market, so it's a lot harder to find those kind of deals
finaly!!!!! wait lemme grab my snack
Dell optiplex 780 next??? Sff btw :]
When gardener build a pc
🔥
do the old ones (i.e : 960, 3020)
the six pin is for the 12 volt rail nothing to do with a psu
Please watch the full video
very good viddd
Thanks!
dude can you do emachine el1352 plzz
I think u spend too much on the other parts. I recently build two pcs for around 375€ each which had better specs and upgradebility
you test gaming banmark
Can you do a hp teo1
No gaming test😔
nice

Thank you! :)
It natively supports W11, since it has a TPM 2.0 chip on the motherboard.
@@crimsontechyt Thanks. Well one of my laptops has TPM 2.0 but Windows won't install due to the CPU being a i7 4710HQ, so you never know. :)
not SFF, but MT
no its the sff
@@louieeMCyou can just google image "optiplex 5060 sff" and "optiplex 5060 mt" and compare it to the one in video
Can I have some of the pc's you make
Sure, if you pay me ;)
@ could it be discounted😭
@@xdckn A little bit
