best thing about MOZA is the quick release system and the price, Fanatec's wheel mounting system is just a major put off for me, just the fact its mostly plastic puts me off. seeing it flex in videos really puts me off, considering i will bump in my wheel quite often when getting in and out of the cock pit. i just don't trust some plastic when compared to the all metal Moza set up for less price of the Fanatec, it just shows how much they over charge us.

I will personally go with Moza R5 bundle to start my joyrney into sim racing again. Also the prices for MOZA when it comes to my place of living (Denmark). Moza is simply easier to get hold of without having to overpay for something. Getting any kind of DD wheel here is kinda hard without having to overpay or having to ordre from outside of Denmark. Also when you play ETS2 as much as i do, getting MOZA truck wheel is a kind of a must for me. I wish there was more truck wheels, like fanatech etc. but fanatech simply doesn't care at all for there customers. Just look at the CEO, he doesn't care of how bad they handle the PR and not sending people there stuff
This is *EXACTLY* what I did for the same reasons. Availability of Fanatec stuff where I am is basically impossible without crazing shipping and import fees, which then makes it way more expensive than Moza. However, the thing that really sealed it for me is ever since the first announcement of the first DD wheelbase a few years ago, they have constantly have stock problems, people waiting months and months for orders, not responding to complaints... that's not a company I want to send my money.
@@BBROPHOTOBe careful, you might go through the same 6 month shipping hell with MOZA. I’ve heard that their official site is the worst place to buy their stuff. Try and buy from marketplaces like Microcenter, or other online storefronts.
at micro center, on there website it says the 10nm base is $47 USD but it is out of stock, don’t know about your area tho. I did the math if you get the base, pedals, and a Moza f1 wheel for 200 dollars (the Moza is steering wheel is compatible with Pxn I’m pretty sure it is only 200 dollars) the total is about $340 USD. The base and pedals are alone only $120 USD. Great deal just gotta wait for it to come back on stock :)
If you haven't used the Moza R16 with the new V3.0 FFB Algorithm, you need to revisit it. I loved my R16 V2 a lot before. This new beta is absolutely amazing. iRacing is much crisper and the road bumps and effects are much more noticeable. My most enjoyable driving experience so far, has been the WCS60 Legends Pack on Asseto Corsa. Paired with my Heusinkveld Sprint Pedals and TH8A shifter, its been so much fun!
Cant wait for you to try the asetek invicta. It would rank asetek at no1. The fact the la prima is second behind the dd+ says alot. The dd+ is very good and super underatted. But the asetek invicta and its 9.4mm/ms slew rate is over double that of the la prima and 3nm/ms more then the dd+ it's absolutely incredible the response and the feeling of never losing grip and reactions. Ive never been able to push a car harder. Sometimes it feels like I'm cheating. I own the dd+, simagic ultimate and the asetek invicta. The invicta when I got it changed my entire driving style. I didn't have to be as careful driving. I could hold more speed without losing the feeling of grip. The asetek gear isn't about small fine details its about the feeling of suspension, grip mid corner, loading and unloading feeling. All of the things that actually help your laps its clear drivers helped because it just feels like it pays attention to what matters. Once I saw 3/10ths day one on silverstone and track i was stick for a month and a half at the same time. Then a month later went from a d2 to d3 racer to a d1 just said everything. Its the only wheelbase that gained me time I've used. Because I could just push it and it always grabbed me I don't crash or spin out it's as if like I said I'm cheating or something haha. But it just feels right! So I hope you get to try the invicta one day. Imo the invicta and the vnm 32nm wheelbase are the two best wheelbases on the market. I actuallt agree with will from boosted on this one. There is a reason even hardcore simucube owners have made the switch. Its like a simucube on steroids. But please everybody listen! Stop downplaying the dd+ it is hands down one of the best feeling wheelbases ever made. Its truely the only wheelbase that's come close to my invicta. What's crazy is that if fanatec ends up making a 25nm wheelbase with a similiar servo motor they could have the best wheelbase on the market right now.
Have had the DD1 for years, now have the QR2, still works fine, I especially like the setup, you can set the steering wheel for 5 games, I would miss that, so I hope Fanatec will continue to exist.

Clubsport DD +, love this wheelbase and nice to see it's #1 on your list. I've never used a Simucube but I'm wondering how much better it would be. Hopefully we get full support for the new Fanatec FFB soon. My only issue is coil whine, so mine's off in an RMA to get resolved. Luckily I stole back my Csl Dd 8nm from my son in the meantime!
Excellent roundup bro! Where would you put the newly released Thrustmaster T598 in this roundup. I bought it but I’m considering returning it to buy the Fanatec GT DD Pro with its 8nm even though it’s $300 more expensive. I mainly play GT7 so PS5 is a must for me leaving me only a couple options.
I'm getting the Moza R3 bundle because I'm a filthy pc casual that just wants to do some light sim racing without having to split an atom (disassemble/reassemble my entire setup) every time I want to do anything **cough-cough G920.** It's tiny, has an extremely good quick release system and 3.9nm torque is plenty compared to the G920's 2.3nm. The R5 is also just a bit too large and the extra money is not worth the extra torque.
I mate, thanks for your video. I wanna share with you my sim racing evolution. I started about in 2010 with logitech driving force gt (a toy) on gran turismo 6 on playstation 3, then I switched to Logitech G29 after to T300 after tgt I on PC and last step fanatec csl dd 8nm that I loved. Keep up the good work man❤
Great video! Hard for me to get past the appearance of the Cammus and Asetek. I like my gear to look good as well as perform 😃. Asetek also requiring you to buy their mount or drill into your existing rig is a turnoff, but hear it is a great wheel base if you don't mind upgrading those parts of your rig as well.
Asetek changed the default colors on the wheel from orange to black which changed the appearance to a normal sim wheel like any other. Additionally i did not have to buy a mount or drill my rig for the wheelbase so i really dont see your issue
not wanting to bring up negative feelings, but to improve your futue content, by title of this video I hoped or expected to get hard comparable reasons for each wheel base why it is where it is ranked. I didn't hear so for the TM 300RS and for the TM 818. You mentioned something in the intro and the AI summary mentions "price", "performance" and "ecosystem". I did not get any of this info for the mentioned wheel bases. Nm number I don't consider as "performance". I consider detail (ie. feeling small bumps in the road), reactivity (ie. how does it react to large obstacles like curbs) and latency (how quickly is input put to sim) as "performance". For such you would have to pick 1 sim and 1 track having appropriate features to compare all wheel bases. Now I can't tell what a suitable upgrade is to my wheel base. I think the idea of this video is great. Timestamps are not provided but by a nice commenter.
I just bought the Velocity One Race for $399. Does it make it better? I can still return it. Should I do so and go with a CSL DD 8NM? Which ultimately will cost a little more. Or should I stay with the Velocity, save up, and put that extra $500-$600 knowing that I will get close to the best with Fanatec?
I’ve given away lots of products in the past but it ultimately becomes very expensive and not worth the hassle on my end. However, I may bring some back so definitely stay tuned.
With that plus the added versatility of truck wheels and stalks the R12 goes higher on the list for me. Having to purchase QR2 settlement is a huge turn off.
I've had also half a dozen praises and orders this year. Absolutely zero issues. The fud misinformation with zero videos or pics seems manufactured by moza or some competitor with huge reason to manipulate and deceive.
The amount of misinformation about fanatic is disgusting, after their initial fumble everything has been absolutely great. They had about 6 month period where every order in their system was being placed but not processing properly through the system, by the time they realized they were 6 months behind it was near Christmas time and it majorly and it fucked everything up for a good while. Ever since April 2024 it’s been smooth sailing. Speaking from first hand experience!
Correct me if I'm wrong, is the Fanatec Clubsport DD+ was used in the Gran Turismo movie? I remembered seeing this wheel during Jann's trying to qualify to join the GT Academy and GT Academy training scene
I'll take the Ultimate over all of these wheelbases combined. I love my simagic alpha, but Simucube is GOAT IMHO. The ultimate is an endgame wheelbase.
unfortunately if I want a fanatec csl dd bundle in where I live I'll likely to spend 1.5 to 2X price for it, so I'll take moza r5 for now and hopefully don't regret it after I receive it
Are used belt driven wheels still a good option? I'm planning to upgrade from a G29 to something like a Fanatec CSW V2/V2.5 or CSL Elite or Thrustmaster T300RS? Or is it worth saving up a bit for something like a Moza R3?
People say force feedback is essential and I kinda disagree if you want to feel the proper feeling of sin racing and treat it like a real car then yes you need force feedback. But if you just want to drive around in game and have some fun not having force feedback is fine you just need a little more skill
Itd be interesting to see where the Moza wheels rank now after their FFB 3.0 update as well as the R16 2.0 and not the 1.0 as you had pictured. Would also be curious to see where the SiMagic Alpha would place.
I’m just trying to do sim on ps4 and not send myself into poverty. What would a good budget setup be? And I’m looking for something with a shifter. So much different information and products about simming out there i just want to know if u wanted to spend like $500 on setup without cockpit what would you buy. A set or build?
@@OCRacing you gotta make a video about what the ultimate sim rig would be if you combined all the best things from every sim rig you’ve owned - live if logitec gave you a blank check to design your own consumer grade rig..what would it look like🤔 I imagine it took ages to amass such collection of sim rigs just so you can take ages in making the video itself 😂 i am on the g20 for the ps5 and the thrustmaster TS-XW for Xbox and Vr/Pc I always come back here to see what’s the next leap forward in sim rigs - excited to see what these products can deliver in the next 10 years

I also like the old fanatec csl elite wheel base
The TS-XW racer has 6,4 NM of tourqe. Not 5.
I thought the R12 would have landed a top 5 spot after its recent beta update 👀
Great video! Hard for me to get past the appearance of the Cammus and Asetek. I like my gear to look good as well as perform 😃. Asetek also requiring you to buy their mount or drill into your existing rig is a turnoff, but hear it is a great wheel base if you don't mind upgrading those parts of your rig as well.
Asetek changed the default colors on the wheel from orange to black which changed the appearance to a normal sim wheel like any other. Additionally i did not have to buy a mount or drill my rig for the wheelbase so i really dont see your issue
@@hansthepickle8138 That is great news. I didn't think anyone but Asetek supported their hole pattern out of the box.
Cammus C12 looks good in my opinion
Your hat has more force feedback then some of these wheels 👀👀
not wanting to bring up negative feelings, but to improve your futue content, by title of this video I hoped or expected to get hard comparable reasons for each wheel base why it is where it is ranked.
Fire video oc!!!
Really good video
And you should give away some wheel bundles if the companies let you. I think a lot of people would benefit from it>
I’ve given away lots of products in the past but it ultimately becomes very expensive and not worth the hassle on my end. However, I may bring some back so definitely stay tuned.
I think Moza is getting there with FFb details with their recent beta firmware for the R12. Can you test it and make a video ?
I’ll see what I can do. It’ll likely be a short form video which you can find on my “oc racing shorts” channel
@@OCRacing ok ty.
With that plus the added versatility of truck wheels and stalks the R12 goes higher on the list for me. Having to purchase QR2 settlement is a huge turn off.
And it seems you haven't upgraded to the latest firmware for moza 3.0
Let’s goo new OC video!
I appreciate the support 🙏🙏🙏
4:51 the full quote changes the meaning somewhat
"A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one."
Great video but you didn’t even mention the turmoil going on at Fanatec so that’s important context when making a purchasing decision.
I bought from them in April and have had nothing but good experiences with them. But I'm not sure hiw it is now
This aint a what to buy video though… its his ranking lol
I agree with you Oscar, number one😊🙋
Glad you agree!
How about the size comparison? is everything on the list have the same size ?
wished you owned the Logi G PRO DD wheel.
lol kept thinking it must mean it's higher and higher on the list when I wasn't seeing it
I'm still a bit confused i have a limited budget to upgrade from pxn v99 should i go for moza r5 or thrustmaster ts-pc
Is it possible to add third party pedals like CSL Elite v2 to G29? If yes, is it plug n play or it requires additional hardware?
SimuCube Ultimate has left the chat!
I'll take the Ultimate over all of these wheelbases combined. I love my simagic alpha, but Simucube is GOAT IMHO. The ultimate is an endgame wheelbase.
unfortunately if I want a fanatec csl dd bundle in where I live I'll likely to spend 1.5 to 2X price for it, so I'll take moza r5 for now and hopefully don't regret it after I receive it
The Fanatec DD+ is the best. 15 nm of continues force. A cut above the rest.
Are used belt driven wheels still a good option? I'm planning to upgrade from a G29 to something like a Fanatec CSW V2/V2.5 or CSL Elite or Thrustmaster T300RS? Or is it worth saving up a bit for something like a Moza R3?
Don't see a big reason to upgrade from g29 to even r3
Great video! I was wondering if Moza wheelbases, particularly the r9, would be compatible with Forza horizon 5
People say force feedback is essential and I kinda disagree if you want to feel the proper feeling of sin racing and treat it like a real car then yes you need force feedback. But if you just want to drive around in game and have some fun not having force feedback is fine you just need a little more skill
Wow new video!
Have you used simmagic alpha wheel?
DD+ is great if you’re rich. What’s best per $?
Itd be interesting to see where the Moza wheels rank now after their FFB 3.0 update as well as the R16 2.0 and not the 1.0 as you had pictured.
Would also be curious to see where the SiMagic Alpha would place.
Could you please do this now with sim rigs.
Simagic Alpha, enough said.
3nm on the g29/920 is just straight up wrong 😅
Assetto Corsa Evo Update??( love the vid)🙂
I haven’t been keeping up with what’s going on with that game! I definitely should look into it though
I only know the preview pictures and that I put it on my Steam wishlist.

I’m just trying to do sim on ps4 and not send myself into poverty. What would a good budget setup be? And I’m looking for something with a shifter. So much different information and products about simming out there i just want to know if u wanted to spend like $500 on setup without cockpit what would you buy. A set or build?
Go with a Logitech with an aftermarket shifter and handbreak
If somebody ask me, simagic alpha mini is best from this list.
Legendary review brohiem🫡
Glad to hear. It took ages to make 😂
@@OCRacing you gotta make a video about what the ultimate sim rig would be if you combined all the best things from every sim rig you’ve owned - live if logitec gave you a blank check to design your own consumer grade rig..what would it look like🤔
I imagine it took ages to amass such collection of sim rigs just so you can take ages in making the video itself 😂 i am on the g20 for the ps5 and the thrustmaster TS-XW for Xbox and Vr/Pc I always come back here to see what’s the next leap forward in sim rigs - excited to see what these products can deliver in the next 10 years
I think you missed the Fanatec podium wheel. Where would you rate that.
Have you tried the updated moza FFB yet? Does it change your rankings?.
Dude, where are you getting these torque numbers from?
