my F30 n55 that's been stage 2+ e30 tuned for a few years now has been solid and the rod bearing thing was more N54 not N55 and oil cooling would be more tracking when swinging into corners at high G forces. @@jonm.678 very comfortable ride quality stock but would definitely recommend a stage 1 tune at the very least
There is a few differences between the pre Lci f30 and lci f30. Headlights are redesigned (front and rear) a few different tweaks on the inside. And 340i drives better and smoother. Got a 2018 340i on coilovers. Amazing car. Don’t regret a single bit buying it
Get F30 n55 2014+ ewg n55. Msport and adaptive m suspension is a must. I love my f30, it’s a great dual personality car. My dd and weekend car.
B58 all day in every way. I had an n55 and n54 preferred the n54 in my 335is over the 2013 335 n55. And now my b58 is just killing the game with some simple bolt ones and tune especially with xdrive and 6spd.
why’d you prefer the n54? was it for power? i’m tryna get a n55 as my first car from what i’ve heard it def makes less power than the n54 but it’s way more reliable plus i’m just getting into cars so would that be a good platform to start?
@@krazykid490 id say either are great and powerful platforms. If you manage to get a 335is that n54 is the most reliable n54 with some added goodies. The n55b is from the m2 pre comp model and is a very good motor as well. I just prefer the driving feel of the n54. Both csn be made really fast. If you care for them properly they are both easy platforms. My buddies n54 is making 700whp with a single turbo conversion. And my kther friend has a pure stage 2 has a pure sturbo stage 2 and makes around 630. Both a fun and nice and easy to work on.
@@krazykid490 just make sure you do your homework and you be good to go. Esp when purchasing a used one. What platform were you thinking of buying?
Same thing in the uk but with the m140i, people going crazy with them over here!
Too bad in us you guys don.t really have cars on diesel ... except big trucks
i would so wanna see you experience a f30 335d with a tune .... the torque is insaneee!! you would not say it.s a diesel ... the way it pulls
please try and find one and "review" it like you did with this one
We got the e9x 335d. We know what there like.
We have plenty of diesel BMWs here. 328d, 335d, 535d, X5 35d, etc.
@@XcoolcoolbeansbeansX lol i know you have diesel cars there but i think it.s what 80%-20% ( petrol- diesel)
diesel cars ar not as popular in us as in eu.
you call diesel ( satan.s fuel ?! :)) )
This is why I'm considering the 40i models as my next project... this engine.
I vote for the B58. I give my 335i f31 away and now look to buy an B58, maybe the f36. Greets from Switzerland.
For sure have to get a 340i once it depreciates a little more, I'm tired of the love and hate relationship I have towards the N54 😂
The F chassis and above is so funny to me with the options because its almost like they just looked at the most popular aftermarket bolt ons and started offering them in the m-performance/sport. Same thing with the new mercedes
And for all of the criticism on the interior due to plastic, if it was optioned a different way it would’ve had the same extended leather as in an M3
2 years with my 16 340i xDrive and loving it
Everything except a manual transmission. I had an e90 chipped with double air intake cones.. I replaced the head unit to have apple car play and everything you could ever want.. two shallow 8 inch speakers under the seats, two 10s in the back.. it was my baby.. did everything myself because I was poor after buying it and for a girl it was a lot. It was my favorite car in the world and I should have saved it. It was purchased from me within 1 day and they drove from another state for the manual and it had 99,000 miles on it but was like new. Carbs cleaned… new shocks. Such a sexy beast but have been so disappointed with bmw for taking manuals away that I won’t buy one for a long while.:(
id think the 340 i been watching your n54 builds even before i got mine and watching you go through everything made me understand what im getting into
At the risk of being difficult.....do both. I have ZERO interest in N55 content, but I'd support it because you're right......you have a larger audience because the N55 is more accessible. Then trade it in on a B58 which I am VERY interested in seeing. The plan is to add either a Tesla or a B58 340i to the e93/Lexus LS garage in the next year.
Definitely build a n55 performance car stock body just carbon bits and see how far you can take the stock bottom end
@Shelik Hodge N55s suck compared to B58s
@@Rhadiqul agreed
@@Rhadiqul Completely ignoring the fact that every big youtuber with a B58 has had a catastrophic engine failure... I love my N55, enough power to max out AT trans, and proven to be reliable at higher power levels. Unlike the B58 that turned out to be mostly hype.
The 8HP is a game changer.
Another great video. I agree with your driving impressions, especially cruising at highway speeds. I've been very satisfied with my 2018 340I xDrive equipped with MPPSK and Track Handling. Conservative-looking, yet fun, daily driver.
Did the mppsk came with it when you bought from dealer or owner?
Go B58. I haven't modded yet . 2017 340i Xi just learned about launch mode. Had it almost 3years
Had a 340i for 3 three years. Best car I ever driven. However, had to switch to Tesla because LA traffic sucks, and autopilot is nut. So sad
california sucks
Was waiting for these to drop in price to pick up as a daily but 2020 ruined that lol
Facts 🥴
Same. I remember when they were hovering around 27-32k for a nice M Sport now they are all over 40k
@@S58985 yep, I was hoping to get one of these for around 30k fully loaded alpine/red or an f80 for 35k ish…..now 2016 f80s are going for 50k 😑
Joshua D I was looking for that same color combo too lmao. I remember thinking that 28 was a little too much and that I should wait a little longer. God how wrong I was haha

B58 Gang! Proud owner of an F36 440i 😋
2013 335i Daily almost no issues surprisingly.
Because of you I modded my 335 I and I love it, and I also flipped out and for the hell of it bought an E 90 M3 which is cooler than cool can be
F30 B58 fo sho.
Everyone is getting a 340i tho. The n55 is highly slept on
Because the b58 is better. The N55 was never slept on, the b58 is just better
I was just thinking about this the other day! Thanks for the video!
Happy new year 👍 got my 330d f31! Here um my country,Portugal 🇵🇹 diesel are cheeper than regular petrol! These F models R very refine, Butter smoth! Year ago was into the 425d but i thank God i went other way round!! Best of BMW,F30/31! Big hug for u man stay safe!
Coming from an ex e90 N55 owner, get a B58, newer platform, and cheaper to make high power than the n55 without rod bearing and oil cooling issues. The only sacrifice of choosing the B58 is a worse sound.
my F30 n55 that's been stage 2+ e30 tuned for a few years now has been solid and the rod bearing thing was more N54 not N55 and oil cooling would be more tracking when swinging into corners at high G forces. Love the B58 only thing that's an achilles heel from the forums is the cylinder scoring that can happen but more on more tuned vehicles. Noting to stop anyone from picking one up just making it be known I've seen on the forums. Enjoy.
I LOVE my 340.. there are SO many options for everything you want to do. And for a Stimulus check worth of money its fucking quick. 3 bolt ons and it moves..
What mods
@@eddiegallardo8941 downpipe exhaust and tune yields 500 crank hp

Loved the experienced been through this car since 2016 brand new. Never disappointed.
Finally a F30 340i on the channel. Nice!
Gotta get a B58. Overtime I'm sure there will be way more B58 owners. I personally plan on getting one in the near future.
F30 B58. It’s the future and a better platform to start with.
I'm debating about either getting this or an ISF 😮💨
This seems way modern
B58 is a weapon
I drive a 2003 e46 330ci convertible - my first BMW I bought last summer. I'm in such a weird place mentally because this was the car I wanted when I was 19 but couldn't afford it. Now, at 32, I can afford an f80 m3 but I still choose to drive an 03 car like I'm emotionally stuck in the past whilst every other car on the road is a new car. Anyone else have this weird attachment?
i have a 340i, i love it
If ur gettin an F30, go B58 or nothin at all.. seriously bro
I have a 14 F30 335i msport, with stage 2+ it runs pretty good, stock exhaust is quite inside needs an electric cut out, I didn't do a CAI just a drop in filter. Burbles are on medium, and I wish they were more. But I prefer more wild and loud.
I would like to see a 340i on the channel !
Love how when u sensors a curse word it’s the BMW chime 😂😂
Selling my supra for a 2018 340i xDrive w/ a 6 speed, I honestly can't wait to get back into a manual transmission.
B58 for sure
Oh boy when he said "the interior has kept pretty well for 56k miles" while I'm sitting inside my Evo X at 235k miles, that really hit home although I got it in mint condition and mileage is just a number from the constant builds I've done with the years lol
If you're looking for a BMW to keep forever. The F30 340i is it.
Bro, I still have my Grey n54 w the red seats which is my baby. But, in Oct I picked up a white 435i M package (red interior) with 40k miles. I must say I love my N55. It has every option as well, including heads up display. Definitely a buy, and a Beast!!!!
Of course this would pop up on my UA-cam when I’m selling my 340i 😂
The seats are probably sensetech so they hold up well. For the radio there is tons of ncr music on UA-cam.
Had the 340 mppsk 6mt for 3 years. Really nice car.
2013-2014 e550 coupe is where it’s at. Twin turbo v8.
This is on if the videos that sold me on the b48 in the f30. I got 2018 340 with m sport package yesterday. Wasn’t planning to buy it yet but the test drive kinda blew me away.
Congrats bro how much you pay
You're describing the "Euro Fast" feel.
I would actually rather have a F25 X3 35d or F11 5 series or P28 XC90 V8 executive or P26E V70 R/P24 S60 R or Y286 S80 V8
I have a '17 440i 6MT with M-Sport & THP. Good car.
True! The 340i is a gem!!
I wish my country got the 340i. We only got the 320i and 330i for the LCI model. But, with the pre LCI we had the 335i, but they are expensive (even used)
unless the rs3's come down in price, f30 340i will be my next car
Seen an m235i stock Motor pushing 760 by bigboost an N55 build will go crazy on this channel cuz not manny people really have N55s builds.

340 can handle mad power with minimum mods
I think everybody wants an M3 but can't afford it so the 340i is a good alternative. If only they could fix the front bumper....

I have a 2018 340i, it’s super fun and overall a fantastic car but my God am I tempted to sell this car with the market right now. I bought it a few months ago and now it’s worth more than I bought it for, even with the 7k miles I drove added onto it 😬.
Which dealer is offering more? Carmax? Carvana?
@@a.burrell2559 Still contemplating on if I wanna sell it. If I do I'd probably go private sale by listing it on autotrader. These things go like hotcakes so it's not hard to sell. As far as selling it to a wholesaler, I've heard they're similar, carmax offers a little more I believe.

Petrol(gas) as you guys would call it. It’s so expensive to run it’s been like that for years. I like the 340d counterparts or 335d
Oh snap, didn't know that
Diesel is getting there too in the netherlands
@@Embrayy yeah now it definitely is everywhere. Electric is the new
@@VehicleVirals yeah I knew they are boring but definitely better on the wallet. Petrol for about 10 years or more has been expensive and you think in newer cars it would be more efficient but they haven’t improved it. We’re as diesel cars new to old they have. I was checking out the X5M new ones petrol and it’s like 19mpg but if you get the x5 M50D it’s like more economical to run then a 1.6diesel as a older car. Based on stats in my opinion
loving the content man fr
I have a bmw active hybrid 3 fully loaded in my collection and it slaps. Very good car worth the google slightly modded tho. One of our family sedans we use mainly with the kids. Nothing stays stock though.

It's missing the full led cluster :)
Get the F30 b58! I just got one too
We just traded our mppsk/track 17 340i in. Fun car but terrible steering feel, had zero confidence driving it fast. We’ve moved to a 22 X3M and as great as the b58 was, the s58 is on a whole
Other level.
Got me one this week!
I have a F30 328 as my daily. After having owned a supra with the B58 I’m in the market to replace my daily driver with a 340 but jeez they’re going for 20k over what they’re worth where I am.
These are so dope. And the auto's on the newer cars are SOOOOO fast.
Lol you should see my 150k+ mile f30 328i. its proof of how good these interiors are. It doesn't have that many options fitted but its held up very well to a family of 4 and 3 dogs
I wanna see b58. If I were buying a n55 car I'd just go E chassis LCi (much better looking than F and G imo)
F30 B58 100%
Not sure why people fangirl over the b58 when the s55 is superior in every way. Probably just the price point compared to an m3/m4 i guess but the f30 is just more attainable for most
I really want one of these with a manual, especially since they're going down in price again
The n55 crazy build would be great to see. It would be a ton more content for the channel too.
