38-47 mpg would sound like a dream on my 2016 340i :) That's a cruising mpg on 80 km/h, but not a city drive, unfortunately. I manage to get 20-22 mpg over month (~1500km), out of most busiest time, but still in a mixed Kyiv (UA) traffic, I'm having avg speed of 25-31 km/h, start/stop is off and no rush in eco/comfort mode. Despite that, 340 is a pure joy! It can be your nice smooth drive with a family or a beasty alter ego, ready to go sideways, push into a comfy sport seats on a straight or drive through a sharp corner like nothing else. It's so much fun and still very comfy daily!
Hi there. I have a 340i with MPPSK and found out when using launch control I hold down the gas pedal for about 2 seconds longer so the engine makes more boost. This might shave more from your 0-60 Great comparison vid mate!
14:35 does anyone else find BMW’S emergency brake lights are far too sensitive? you don’t seem to have to break hard for them to flash and activate the hazards
How did this feel compared to the 440i gc? I’ve driven all three and they all make sense, the m140 being the lightest is the most raw and fast, the 340 felt slightly heavier and a little more refined for gt, then the 440gc felt heavier and felt far from the performance car the m140 is, do you agree?
@ A hybrid with 340hp and almost 600nm is not slow. Following your dumb logic the M140i with whatever stage is slow because a Chiron exists. Comparison is the thief of joy.
Pretty sure 0-60 in BMWs can be quicker than BMW claim so not surprising it was 0.4 seconds faster very curious to see how quicker the 35d and 40d are to 60.
Why did you show a B8.5 Audi at 2.20? I have a B8.5 S5.... the supercharged version. Stage 2 sees circa 470/480 bhp with some simple chnages. More torque than you can shake that stick at too! Now, thats a car.
I have both s5 stage 2 b8.5 with gearbox map, also gave a stage 2 plus m140i similar bhp, I will say the launch on the s5 is absolutely epic and piss all over the 140 but that’s all, the m140i is faster and just puts a smile on my face every time! The s5 feels boring and for the similar bhp the Audi cost me thousands compared to the m140i… this car totally changed me from an Audi fan boy! The best bang for you buck with the m140… just wish I had bought it years earlier!!! Saying this the Audi was very reliable and never let me down, but neither had the bmw upto press

If you can stretch to an M340i, that would be my pick. The F series 340i is a harder sell over an S4 given that it's basically just a regular 3 series with a B58, whereas the S4 gets a bunch of upgrades compared to a standard A4. Same for the M340i.

@nabil_040 oh yes
i actually way prefer the way the indicators work. I've been used to them working like that on my last 2 bmws over the last 10 years
You deserve more subs
Anything with 2TB (Sports auto which you can just code with bimmercode) has launch control. My 320d 2012 has it.
If its still on its original dampers, they're probably nearly done now- might explain you finding it hard to tell between comfort and sport.
