I've never owned a bmw. But my sister sells them so I've driven every car she leases them. Had a blast driving the m3 m4. I feel the build quality is top notch from the factory. Even closing the doors they feel solid.

@@OleMisss hell ya man, I'm 26 as well and about to buy 2018 340i, I make around 95k pretax and save like 40k a year since I live with my parents lol. Idgaf, I could easily get a place but I'm saving to buy 2-3 rental properties, then I'll move out. Did 4 years In the marines and moved back in with parents to save money.

The electronic suspension option staggered is next level and is really good in the different modes, soft or hard.
Remember that you can hold the traction control button to fully turn the traction control off and stability control (dcs)
Sport+ does the same no?
@@Supremepikachu It doesn't fully turn traction off. I've tried all the modes in the snow in my RWD 340i. Holding it off fully spins the tires.
@@Mike604 Weird, when i put it in sport+ it gives the same message that i get when i keep DSC pressed until it's turned off it gives the sport mode screen as well or did i not hold it long enough?
@@Supremepikachu hold it for about 10 seconds I believe. It’s been like this for a while. I also believe Sport + keeps 20% TC on if I’m not mistaken.

I like the idea. You’re right, you modify your car then you get bored. I think you could really boost your channel if you and your friends really brainstorm and get cars keep them, mod them tastefully, then sell and get more. Just start multiplying and collecting.

Neat fact the intercooler is a liquid cooled intercooler that is built into the intake manifold. And it’s not really something you need to upgrade which is nice
Looking forward to this series. I purchased a 2019 bmw m240i with the same b58 platform. Going “stage 2” tomorrow . Stage 1 already feels insane just between how smooth and comfortable it is, but has a kick to it. Extremely well rounded car, and for the price, Definitely worth it

Night and day difference. If your looking to just bring the life out of the car and not have to do much. Get a bootmod 3 tune and XHP stage 2 trans flash paired with stage 1 93 map, and the car turns into a different beast.
Stage 2 just brings it to life that much more and for a small price tag of 300 for a downpipe, can’t be beat
1,500 with a b58 gets you a stage 2+ tune, catless Downpipe and upgraded hpfp. Some e blend and your right under 500 wheel.
😭unless you’re me and don’t want no one else that have a 340i to beat me so i go big single turbo on e85
2nd gen B58 in the M340i and Supra is even more beastly. BMW has done something special with their B58 motor variants.

Did highway pulls 60-130 with one of these a couple years ago driving through vermont in a 2007 350z I owned at the time. We were both stock with the exceptions of an exhaust on my z and were neck and neck until 100 and he'd pull maybe a car to 130. Didn't know what a 340i was until then
330hp is enough for a lot of people. More than quick enough for a fun daily commute. Looking at getting a g20 m340i soon.

I went from a '16 M235 to a '20 440i. I hated the 440i stock, it was slow and sluggish. Then I got the MPPSK and I f-ing love it.
it would be even more of a beast when you get a downpipe and mhd tune.

Cameron did a GTI S the same year I did my mk7 GTI S. I'm now deciding between a 135i, 335i, 340i, S3, or Golf R to trade the GTI on.
I'll be interested to see how his build goes - yet again.

that’s the b58, the supra has the b58TU, which is the revised version. Higher output and slightly different design. same block though

After this project you need to do a VW Golf R that’s the true halo car of VW. You can’t compare the GTI to this BMW.
But this is basically the gti of bmw since the m3 would be the top tier one as golf R would be
@@imjay2463 I would more or less consider a 328i the "gti of bmw" even the m235i is steps beyond the gti, and it's a 2 series. The b58 alone puts this car in a completely different class than almost any VW I can think of, and this is coming from someone who owns a 05 mk4 and I love the car. But I also have friends that have owned m235i's and 340i's. That isn't to say the R isn't a seriously impressive car with some serious abilities.

@@forin9345 considering the M235i Gran coupe is a direct rival to the S3 with both having awd and roughly 300hp, the 228i would compete with the A3. S3 = Golf R, Europe has a 128ti (direct rival to the Gti, with a little more power).
That said, the 128ti is just as quick as the M235i/M135i.
When I had a Mk7 Gti, it was quicker than my both of my friends 228i coupe and 230i coupe, it was actually pretty close to a stock f30 335i xdrive, stock for stock and both auto.

Hey im thinking of buying either e90 325i (218) lci 2009-2011 or f30 320i (184) 2012. Can you give me your thoughts and advice on which one is better? Which engine is better and more reliable the N53 or N20? Thanks in advance. Greetings from Europe, Bulgaria.
N20 is decent lower mileages
The n52/53 mis one of the most reliable modern bmw engines being naturally aspirated whereas n20 was bmw first attempt a turbo 4 cylinder and many engine failures have occurred based on some quick research.

Gen 1 and gen 2 B58’s are a little different. Gen 2 is a little more capable and reliable

@@nikomatsis7238 gen 1 B58s are mostly from the F generation of BMWs from 2016-2018 in cars like the 340i, 440i, M240i, etc. Gen 2 B58s are found in the BMW G generation of cars like the M340i, as well as the A90 Supra

Nah Gen 1 B58 is pretty different from Gen 2
You can tell this car is not equipped with the XHP tune , the XHP makes it 2s faster and more fun to drive.
