For context to those commenting about "it's not live on PS5", that is my fault as I genuinely did not know it wasn't live on consoles yet. YES I can read the top of the patch notes haha, it clearly states it isn't out on consoles yet, but the patch notes are 2 days old, so I'd assumed that they'd gotten around to that by now, as I've had my PS5 on standby mode to auto-download the update when it goes live. Hence, I didn't actually know whether it had downloaded or not yet. That's completely my fault for assuming they'd updated 2 days after the patch notes were live, my apologies for not looking into that further.
That said, I also own the game on Steam, and have played it on there since the update, and the hit registration is still all over the place, hence my concerns about the update having not worked as well as I'd hoped it would. I recorded this at 4:15am this morning, so yes, I absolutely should have worded my commentary better to explain I have actually played the update, rather than only mentioning the PS5 hahah, once again that's completely on me. But the video still stands, the game unfortunately still feels very broken in terms of the multiplayer elements, if it feels that way on PC I'm still very concerned it'll feel the same way on consoles.
The search function never worked when selecting a certain game mode though? You can only search without changing the settings
the update did work really well
for everything it mentioned that it fixed, the multiplayer hit detection is still completely broken but this patch was not meant to fix that.

Have you even played the update? It hasn't released on PS5.
Hearing about how cooked the game is has totally put me off buying it. It’s just unacceptable that companies release games in these states and we need to start showing them we won’t buy broken shit. It’s the only way we’ll get back to the days of finished games being released.
buddy if u read the top of the patch notes it clearly states that the update has yet to go live on xbox, playstation, and switch. all of those platforms r still going through certification testing. only pc has the update live already

Your bad time with going on multiplayer is because the update is only on Steam right now. It will come for the consoles though.
Also in the patch notes. They say they are working too improve the online and that a second update is on the way. So stay tuned for that.
The multi on console seems like it was updated cause ping is lower and lag is minimal, BUT the biggest problem is hit registration against real players is still horrible, huge turn-off

This entire video is completely pointless when you realize he's playing on PlayStation.... where Aspyr explicitly said, in the very post he's reading from, that the update has not gone live. Good grief.
Edit: Bro says "I don't know if they'll [update] it twice."
The Aspyr post, again the one he is reading from, says the following: "We’re continuing to make server-side adjustments to improve the online multiplayer experience, **as well as planning for Update II.** "

@@SammyBoiiiSW The pinned comment still doesn't address how you managed to miss them *explicitly saying they were working on a second update*. Or how they were still working on the multiplayer, which is another 'issue' you brought up in your video.
The title of the video is also "They updated it...just for it not to work?"
What's not working, exactly? The only problem you actually bring up in the video is something that's on an unpatched version of the game. This takes clickbait to a whole other, incredibly unreliable level.
The video even says "As for my opinion on the update..." and then the segment about multiplayer crashing the game. It literally segues as if they were connected. If this wasn't a mistake of not realizing the update wasn't on PS like you claim, then it's an extremely manipulatively way to convince the audience that two entirely separate things are somehow connected.
"This is my experience trying to play the update"--this is what you said when describing the crashes on PS, a version that *doesn't have the update*. This isn't an error in wording or phrasing. You just didn't even read the post you milked an 8 minute video out of. Wow.

Hey UA-camrs, How about you wait a month before you spam another BFII Classic Collection Video? Seems like all you guys are just hungry for views, take a break and talk about another game. No one asked for all these updates on the status of the game. Personally, I think the update was a fine start. See, I reviewed that in 9 words or less.
Did you listen to the video? I literally said at the end of the video that I'm done with Battlefront content for now as I don't want to report on a game that I'm not having fun with. Stop reading a title of an 8 minute video and assuming you know everything that was said in it 👍
I watched your vid almost to the end. I think "Update #1 Patch Notes" is a much better thumbnail than "New Update Didn't Work". To be fair I'm not criticizing your content specifically. Just don't like all the rage baiting youtubers are doing on this game. You can't ethically talk about how the user-base is dwindling for this game while actively bashing it and turning people away from it.@@SammyBoiiiSW
