@@milehigh61 I guess there’s always a temptation especially when it was over 40oc but just not worth it on a bike ride like this. 👍
What’s the seat heights on them, I’m a short arse but would love a adventure style second bike
Seat hights will be in the next video coming soon 👍🏍️💨💨💨
Actually episode 4
Where did you find the luggage rack for the right side of the Triumph?
The luggage was already fitted to the bikes when I picked it up. The people that know more about that are the Nomadic Knights
Was this route pre decided.... or the Maps took you this way....
Coz Goa to Shivamoga you Have Some Great, fast Good roads....
Alex from Nomadic knights is the leader on this ride he knows the place well. 👍🏍️💨💨💨
Love from ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ💛❤
Thanks 👍🏍️💨💨💨
What’s an amazing place. 👍
Love your streams Simon. I was waiting for this review . The Himmie is the bike that i want to see the review of . remember a whikle ,back you siad that the old bike was under powered to take two up . What do you think about the new bike . Fit for two or not ??? Thanks 👍👍👍
Hi Buddy, the new has plenty of power, when I get the chance to ride on in the uk with a pillion il hopefully put a video together shows how capable this bike can be with twos up. You’ll get to see Himalayan a fair bit over the series. I think you’ll like it for sure. 👍🏍️💨💨💨
Thanks
@@thatbikersimon
Going to get stuck into this. Still shopping around for a suitable pillion trip maybe something you will still consider for the future it’s so difficult to judge from us watching solo riders videos!
The one I would do with a Pillion is the south India on the Bullets 500cc check out nomadic knights website
There is a waiting list at the moment

Still space on this one
Superb and Honest Review guys… Hats off…!!! 🎩
What u mentioned is correct about 1 cylinder bike buzz in other video of urs…
I was riding around Japan on Honda and Suzuki… Still I love Himalayan new version. It is perfect for both cruising and off roading,
New Himalayan is on my top list when I will be there riding mostly in Ladakh side on new roads out there…
I’waiting for the tubeless till that time.
Many thanks, glad you enjoyed the videos. The Himalayan 450’has been a fantastic bike and for the Himalayas it would be perfect with the mixed terrain. Good luck with your journey. 👍🏍️💨💨💨💨
@@thatbikersimon thanks mate..!!! Keep posting your vlogs..!!! 🍻
What is the minimum height require for - HIMALAYAN 450....??????
Interesting question, Jamie who rode this with us is 5ft 4in he copied very well but their is a option to have a lower seat. So I would say any shorter than that it might be a struggle
Muito bom 😃😉👍🇧🇷
Many thanks 👍🏍️💨💨💨
@ 20:41, I struggled to see the sign as your parked motorbike was in front of it 😂..... Only in India, the politest people in the world, would you have a No Parking sign with a load of kisses underneath. Fantastic video. Def cant wait for more. Subscribed.
Glad you enjoyed it lol 👍🏍️💨💨💨
Hey guys 2s a ride 3s a race -- good review thanks
Thanks buddy
This was such an interesting watch. Absolutely loved the video.
Glad you enjoyed it! It only get better from here 👍🏍️💨💨💨
what is a real world consumption rate for the Himalayan?
I shall find out for you buddy.
@@thatbikersimon Amazing, thank you!
Hi from Spain, sorry for my English, i test rode the new transalp 750 and i was very impressed! But a month later i test rode the 390 adventure, and i was even more impressed and realised i didn't need a 100hp adv bike, now im waiting for the Himalayan and the new 390 (both from India curiously) to arrive and decide which one i like more, and i will keep my old and trusty sportster 883, this bikes are like 4/5000€ cheaper than a middleweight adv and are more than enough.
Holla, yes I totally agree with you. You can have more bikes that do the same job and are easier to manage. Our videos prove that they are very capable bike over great distances and rough conditions. I personally will be selling my bike adventure bike for a smaller one.
Hi. Pity the CFMoto 450MT is not in the list considering all we are hearing about it. Thanks anyway :).
Yes it looks a good bike, it was out Bit late for this tour
Guys visit north-east India. ....nice place👍
Good shout 👍🏍️💨💨💨
Yaahhh🙏🧡🤍💚
why are you using high beams in the morning himalayan first 10 mins
use it only needed even in nights - just an observation
The led lights are much better now but it’s still advisable to have the high beam on.
May I know who is advising to use that 😅 in nights if you are 100 to 200 meters roughly away from a car and no on-coming traffic you are allowed to use high beams
Rule is "Respect your fellow drivers, keep it low keep it safe"
good vdo to show us where not to go ! Either bike would be fun here !
Thanks
I work in India (Uttarakhand in the Himalayas) and ordered the 450 Himalayan in Hanle Black. Demand is so high that delivery takes 3 months. Sucks. Also ordered the FuelXPro chip and the decat pipe. Riding a BMW HP2 Enduro at home (South Africa). Can't wait for the Himalayan
It’s a nightmare when you have to wait for a bike that long but it just show you how good they are with the demand. So definitely worth a wait 👍🏍️💨💨💨💨
I have a 2022 Himalayan here in the USA and the new ones aren’t even offered……….. not even a hint yet…
@@ewetho oh really I thought they would have rolled them out world wide
That go pro handing off the handlebars really spoils the view of the road!
If it wasn’t there i wouldn’t be able to make the video.
@@thatbikersimon
True but I agree with @bjbt28 it is really disturbing, you should place this camera more on your left.
@@patricecaron2130 it’s not always a option to place a camera where you would like it. Cables and the diameter is a issue, also the diameter on the mirrors is to small.
Another excellent adventure. Spot on Simon 👍
Thanks Mick glad you enjoyed it buddy. It was nice to ride the new Himalayan on this occasion 👍🏍️💨💨
New Sub from 🇨🇦 - Hit that 🔔 looking forward to see the overall rating you all have of the 3 small bikes. I’ve been eyeing all 3 so perfect adventure to Follow.

I’ve done this route multiple times, didn’t know we could cross this bridge on a bike, I’ll be riding that side next month so I’m gonna do it for sure 😂
Also that 400km was shockingly fast, I’m impressed. This usually takes me like 8-9 hours 😂
Excellent 👌 well enjoy the crossing 👍🏍️💨💨
Great story, great bikes, great guys. Fantastic first part, thank you. But (is there always a "but"?) that camera right in the middle of that screen is a pain in the eye. I do hope in Part 2 it´s gone or installed a little bit lower. Fingers crossed.
Sorry buddy it’s not so easy to adapt a camera on a loan bike, it just goes where I can fit it.
Don’t be. Just watched the last episode with the RE. Now it‘s time for the KTM in Part 4 and I’m looking forward to it (and of course finally the 400X). Thanks again for your work. It‘s great to join you.
@@dutch3000 thanks buddy 👍
RE himmy is really comfy. wish it was a 650,750 for 2 up riding.
It’s surprising good for a pillion 👍
Indian bike UA-camrs are need to taking class from your quality content video ❤
Thank you for your kind comment 👍 this is my 3rd Indian ride and it’s a wonderful country. I’m sure il be back again do film some more.
Why don't you guys riding on the mountain of leh Ladakh ?
Already rode it on the old Himalayan check out this playlist Royal Enfield Himalayan Adventure..Exploring the roof of India

I saw the 390 KTM on the channel The Traveling Tortoises and were impressed.
390 adventurer or 390 duke?
Another review of the Himalayan says that 110 kph is the max speed it can do before the vibration is too much
Can you confirm?
Is it the same for the other 2 bikes?
I would say it’s probably a bit more than that but all these single cylinder engines are the same. I would say 80- 120 is where it sits the best
@@thatbikersimon between 110 and 120 is where I would sit for a few hours at a time on these wide open Aussie highways, so that's good to know
Witch Motorcycle Best Boos Himalayan 450, or Trump or KTM
Interesting question
@@thatbikersimon Answer me Sirf
@@venkataramananc9336 I’ve not rode them all yet
Rotating the drivers to all bikes should make you decide and compare the opinions.
That’s what we do 👍🏍️💨💨💨💨
U r shaking too much - is this road or himalayan vibrations?
Could be the beers lol. The vibration on the new bike don’t kick in until 7,000 rpm
Go on Jamie 💪💪
😂👍
i am looking for bike.... about triumph its ok, himalayan 450 engine sound problem .. claiming lots of people.... but ktm adv 390 ultimate .... guys ... its produce 43 bhp power any many more.... which one to buy pls suggest honest review
You need to watch all the episodes to come to a conclusion 👍🏍️💨💨💨
what would you think, of a rider that is 6'4" tall & 280 lbs, (US) do on the Royal Enfield?
You’ll be fine there are other seat options and bar risers if needed.
Now thats a nice moto vlog! All the talking happens while driving with lots of drive footage.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks 👍🏍️💨💨💨
What to ask about the saddlebag exhaust side one the triumph 400, any issue with the exhaust heat, and what brand saddle bag is it, and whether it held up, no melting or issues,
It does get a little hot but everything survived in the bags 👍🏍️💨💨💨
You are missing the CF 450 MT
I would definitely like to try one at some point
@ 15.21 to 16.21 did you notice how effortlesly locals are cruising in their 100 cc bikes in so called off-road conditions (some of them with pillions on). No wonder 100 cc is the largest selling commuters segment in India.
Yes they’re more than capable to get around on the little workhorse. But they don’t have the excitement of the RE or KTM or triumph 🏍️💨💨💨💨
@@thatbikersimon undoubtedly, I own KTM 390 Adv and love every mile on it.
Thanks for the correct pronunciation, it is Himalayan and not himlayan.
I think it depends on which country your in lol.

prefer me the best bike for daily, off-road, best engine under 3.5
Why under 3.5?
My KTM 390 SW is by far the best Bike I had in 25 years! It can ride ANY Road!
The KTM didnt preform well on the off road test.
It's election here, of course the roads are good.😂😂
