Congratulations on one year! Wow, a lot has happened for you in that time. I wondered how the incinerating toilet was. Thanks for sharing that. Also, the tip about the grow bags for tomatoes.
Brava Bella!! Welcome home! So glad to see you well and happy in your tiny home. Thanks for sharing all you've learned and what you love about your experience during the past year. Moving forward with positivity and gratitude. 💞 xo
So happy that those bed bugs are finally gone. Congrats on your first year living tiny! Your spot sounds wonderful. I hear you on the long list of stuff that needs to get done. It may be tiny, but it seems I’m always adding stuff, lol! I love that all you gardens were in containers. I’ve thought about doing something similar, but didn’t get around to it this year. Tell me about that refrigerator behind you. It’s gorgeous!
Thank you so much! The containers were all about cost savings and ease for me. I didn't want to invest the time or money in building a raised bed and filling it with good quality soil. Containers/grow bags were much easier to set up and tear down for the winter. Everyone loves this fridge! 😄I just got it on canadianappliance.ca. Nothing special really!
I very much enjoy your channel, your information, and your perspective. You also have a lovely home. You had mentioned in a previous video that you wished you had explored Park homes. I have been going back-and-forth between a park home and a tiny home. I wonder if you could elaborate a bit more on your perspective of Park homes. The obvious is that they are an easy solution because there are legal park home communities. I like the larger size of the park homes and I guess I just wondered if you could say a bit more about them and your feelings about them. Thank you so much for your time.
I am working on a new video about living in a tiny in the winter where I explain that is the major difference between the 2 - when it comes to materials used, insulation, windows, sub-floor, etc., park model homes are not built to live in during Canadian winters. A lot of people who live here only do so seasonally, or complain about how cold their trailer is during the winter. The building codes are different CSA-Z240 vs RVIA
Thank you for sharing your experiences. I often wonder if I could live in a smaller home and I enjoy other videos where they show the homes, but not a lot of RL details. You have filled that niche for me. There's no way I could live in a tiny home, my guy has a collection of nerd things that would take up your entire house, and the last kid is not finished with high school, so there's that. But also, my guy is 6'2" and that gives me pause, and he's kind of messy. I wonder how many couples manage to live in truly small homes together without you know, homicide. I'd love to know about trash day, how far away do you have to go to take out your trash? Are there a lot of creatures such as racoons that you've had to adjust to, to keep them from getting into things/your garden? I'll go watch some of your other videos for those answers. Thanks again.
Hey again Jessica! Great questions. Up the hill from my home (about 2 minutes walk) is a garbage disposal bin. A pretty big one. I just throw my bags there. "Garbage day" doesn't really affect me when they empty the bin. I can toss my garbage in the bin whenever I need to. I do however collect all of my recycle and take it to my mother-in-law's house, because this park does not recycle, unfortunately. I do have my own backyard compost bin (in my garden tour video!) As for racoons, we have A LOT of coyotes here. there is actually a sign at the entrance to be on alert for coyotes and not walk dogs at night. We also have a lot of stray & outdoor cats. So racoons & mice / rats have never been a problem here. I have never seen one. Bugs however are a whole other story. 🙄 Honestly, I am dreading the summer for finding bugs in my house all the time (spiders, ants, boxelder beetles, mayflies, etc.). The mosquitos get REALLY bad here as well. I don't mind if they stay outside but I don't want them in my house!
I’m surprised more people aren’t already involved in tiny home building and community, considering the high price of regular homes these days, as well as the rising cost of groceries
There are definitely more people involved than there were since I bought this house! I know of about 3 more builders just in the GTA that didn't exist at that time.
Glad the bed bugs are sorted and that you’re getting your loft back! 😊 it seems like you found a really great parking spot. I don’t think there are many parks like that around ON!
Honestly, this place is a hidden gem, and I imagine there are more like it. From the google maps photos of this place looks like absolutely nothing special. My mother in law, who has lived in this township her entire 75 years of life, had never heard of this place. There's no sign at the entrance, so it's very much a iykyk situation. But I imagine there are a lot of campgrounds that offer seasonal parking in the province, you just gotta find them on Google maps & then go visit in person!
Awww love it! Seems like so much fun just kicken it in a tiny house!

I was recently wondering how you were doing. So glad that you're back in your tiny house.
Just found your channel. Refreshingly honest. Bravo
Thank you, I appreciate you!
