@@The.Hawaiian.Kingdomwhy is it that you assume everyone outside of kanaka maoli as bad? I understand the history and the deceit of the haole. @@jwiki1 I never expressed an opinion anywhere even remotely near suggesting one ethnicity (or multiple of them) being “bad”. Therefore YOU are the one making assumptions, so you should ask YOURSELF why YOU are making assumptions. As for the “none of us alive today did these things” argument, that’s not true. Multiple international law organizations have agreed that the U.S. never actually annexed the Hawaiian Kingdom and therefore “Hawai’i” is not and never was part of the US, and these organizations have called upon the US to end its unlawful occupation of the Hawaiian Kingdom… these organization have joined forces with our COR legal team to help aid in ending the U.S. occupation, one organization created a subcommittee solely dedicated to it and numerous political scientists and IL experts are aiding us as well. The Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague also confirmed that the Hawaiian Kingdom constitutes to exist as a sovereign country… it’s so widely agreed upon at this point that it’s a senseless waste of time to even debate it. So with that understanding, Article 49 of the fourth Geneva Convention states that an occupying power (in this case the US) is not allowed to transport any part of its civilian population into a country it occupies (the Hawaiian Kingdom). This means that every American to set foot in our country since 1-17-1893 is participating in violating this international law. Likewise an occupying power unlawfully selling lands of an occupied country is also a violation of international law, it’s called “pillaging”…. there’s countless other examples but with those as examples you can understand that non-Hawaiians in fact ARE STILL participating in crimes against Hawaiians (Hawaiian being a NATIONALITY) meaning subjects of the Hawaiian Kingdom (not to be confused with kānaka maoli, the ethnicity of the aboriginal people), it’s not something someone else did… international law violations can be tried as w^% cr^%es and there’s no statute of limitations on them, in the eyes of the law, it doesn’t matter if it happened yesterday or 1000 years ago. If you’re not kanaka maoli or a Hawaiian subject, you don’t get a say in what “Hawai’i” needs, it’s not your country and you are subject to deportation when the unlawful occupation ends, no matter how much you CLAIM to care about OUR -islands- country. This is a terrific example of a container home. The biggest obstacle to creative small home solutions are the zoning/building code/NIMBY issues in most communities. These need to be changed so self built and or much smaller footprint homes, called tiny, are allowed. Solar and compost/ other toilet options exist and mean you can opt out of main utilities as well, currently not allowed in many locales. Rural areas do not always work for elders who need to be near medical facilities either, so urban/suburban solutions are necessary,
The perfect place for container homes where high levels of insulation are not required with the temperate weather. Building inward for thick levels of insulation take away livable space. I think a shed style roof could work really well to reduce temperature load from the sun and give shade for a porch and additional surface area for more solar and rain-water capture. Plus, Hawaii is perfect for outdoor lifestyle and a large patio area would exploit this. But this would negate the ease of mobility of the home as well. Excellent design work from this owner.

What a masterpiece of smart design and can-do spirit! 😀👏 7:25 Love the external sliding shutters! And the large shower, long kitchen counter and table, plus the huge kitchen window and TWO sliding doors are such great ways to make a small face feel big. 12:01 *“...don’t be afraid." "There are other ways to live.” Yes! ❤Thank you for sharing! 🌈😃🌿
She did a great job, amazing home.
Really love this one! She explained it all so well....... the interior is beautiful! 💕 In time, she could expand on her outdoor living and she could do a wrap around porch to give her even more outside happiness, if needed. The only thing I'd suggest is to possibly tone done the exterior green to blend in to the surroundings a bit more.....but, other than that, it's really nice & a great solution! Also, I want to be in that strong container in a massive storm or any other issues. : )
Love these Tiny Homes, A thought for the future, Beautiful Home! ❤
Not only was this a terrific video, this is a terrific tiny home! I love what she did, especially with the kitchen and bath! Less housework = time outdoors in that gorgeous place! I get it I would do it in a heartbeat if I was younger.
Aloha! Mahalo Jenn for this podcast. I am a former resident of Big Island since the mid-1980s and have watched it get eaten up by big money and homelessness exploded.
Brandie, this is a fantastic home. I love it so much. Mahalo for sharing your story.
Best thing about a Tiny House On Wheels when you live on Big Island...
When that red hot lava starts oozing towards you, just hook up and go!
"...there's more than one way..." 💚 Beautiful home and land. Stay safe and TFS.
So many of us got priced out of Hawaii. So delighted to see the tiny house movement reach Hawaii! Thank you for sharing.
Love her vibes and the house!
This a Beautiful Green Home made from a Shipping Cantainer with a Murphy Bed, Spacious Kitchen and a Large Bathroom. This Queen has made a Wise decision to have a Life Style She Comfortable with and Loving Her Heritage, Thanks for Sharing Enjoyed and Blessings 🙏❤️🥰😇 From Pennsylvania,USA "Aloha"
Nice home.. there is only one place I would want to live more than Hawaii,,,that is New Zealand. 🌴 🌴🌴
...and be Bryce's neighbor?
@barbaramuzychka3836 yeah right..😄 I like his show too
Yasssss Hawai’i is the best place for a tiny home movement- I mean- we are already mostly living tiny back home. I love this! Gorgeous home 🥰
I didn't know you could get a 8'x25' container. I've just seen the 8'x20' and 8'x40'. I love the exterior color and her property is paradise.
Minimal, no clutter, beautiful.
How exciting to at last see this happening on Bug Island. I lived in Volcanoe Village and Pahoa over a decade ago. I was so hopeful this kind of housing would find its place in the islands. Mahalo!
I love this Design!! She has done an awesome job!! Love it!! ❤❤❤
She is so cool and so well spoken❤ Beautiful home
What a great idea to be able to close it up good when you’re gone! Love it!!
Container housing is great. Nice design with the outdoor/indoor lifestyle. Ready resources and a beautiful slice of Heaven. That is Hawaii.
Neat ideas. Like the ability to cover up all the windows and doors from the exterior.
Who else is here because they wanted to see how to live in paradise without breaking the bank? I’m convinced this is the way to go! 💰🌴
Aside from the many that dwell in tents on the beaches. I see this as a better option.
I just moved to the big island from Oahu and am just starting out. I am struggling. I would love to know how you built your box and how much it cost. I could sure use your expertise so I can build something that I can stay in with my mom. I have a small lot in Volcano. I live with my son. We are using a jackery each night cause we need more solar. I would really appreciate your Kokua. Mahalo nui loa.
Very well thought out design. Lovely all around! 🧡💛💚🩷
I love what you said about using what you Have & letting the stuff that Belongs there Grow! Also the way you stand up for your people. We use to do that here. (I don’t know how we got So Far off track) your home is adorable & you live in a lovely Garden of a Place! Good Luck 🍀 to you!!✌️🇺🇸
FANTASTIC & VERY WELL THOUGHT OUT WITH CLASS
LOVE the porch. But I'd need a 40' because I'm aged past putting a bed up every night & need W/D & "friends with coffee" room. But it's just lovely!
like her idea of keeping the nature or original plants and trees were they are, so lucky to have all these fruit trees available while not often that way as i have invasive plants and trees when i took over this house and i have to get rid of them;
I think this is a great idea for homes near volcano because of eruptions. Being able to move your home during a threat of lava flow, would save so many homes in the area.
What a beautiful tiny home! You are truly blessed.
I would love it! Shipping containers have come a long way!
Love it! When I was growing up mt ʻohana moved a lot becaus of the high costs of rent. I often thought about container homes. The green too! Perfect color. I built a 12' fence around my place and as soon as I painted it green it blended right in with the nature around my hale. Not to mention the dissipation of heat rather than having a dark or light colored structure. ❤
We need someone to help us in our state too! Nothing is affordable you are so lucky 😍 the last four years have been increasingly worsening its so sad you are so blessed to have real help in Hawaii. Wish we had that in NY state
It's so lovely to see your dog again - they must be a good old age by now xx
Your house really appeals to me, do you mind talking about approx cost of putting it together, not counting land. My parents and brothers were priced out of Seattle, too. ( property taxes)
The only thing I would change on the box is to paint native fauna all over it to blend in a little more into the native plants.
Yes, the green is too bright and doesn’t blend with the beautiful nature
I was thinking the same. Too bright. Maybe a darker green
First.. I love your Dog.. Adorable 💖 Realy a great solutions in the Box house.. Great work Lady.. Thank's for sharing Greetings from Skandinavia 💞🇮🇸😊✌️💞
Years ago they started with tiny homes maybe not as small as these but they were tiny.non the less perhaps this is the best way for everyone lovely home
I love this! My husband & I are nature lovers. I think as long as I have a decent bathroom & kitchen like this I would be happy 😊
Your judicious jubilantly is shows it shows your crust of your high potential 👏.Your Tiny house is in the midst of green mute forest and you have the comfort zone of home .I noticed scarce view from your green window palatine pleasing garden .I appreciate twice such a sensible approach of living with cool breezy and God bless you ever 👍🙏🇮🇳.
One of the best setups I’ve seen on your channel & what a delightful lady presenting this home ❤
BRILLIANT! AND SAFER IN A HURRICANE THAN MOST BIG HOMES!
THAT ROOF ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE!❤
The yard is wonderful! I'm so glad she is able to live there. I wish we could. I loved Hawaii.
I'm calling it Psychedelic Grass Green! 😂 I really love that Bathroom Sink...the whole Design is Awesome ❤
I love her green house. Genious idea👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Rural areas do not always work for elders who need to be near medical facilities either, so urban/suburban solutions are necessary,
They should do this everywhere…genius water system and inside design!
This is a super great idea for so many people! Thank you for sharing! She has a great setup!
Oh sista, this is awesome! 🤙🏻 so smart, love da design 🌺
That’s awesome. We’re moving to Florida and we’re building a container house also. Thank you for all your positive input. 😊
This a fantastic home!! Wonderful that you were able to create a way to be home.
The homeowner was equally likable as her tiny home.
You have a beautiful home! And the jungle view is just awesome! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Looks very practical, smart, lovely! The house, too! 😊
