    I’ve been seeing the clip of Sam Sulek talking about Mike Mentzer’s love of Underhand Pulldowns for Bicep Growth…resulting in a bunch of people now doing these at the gym. I’m a huge fan of weighted chin ups because I think it’s a fun exercise, but the supinated grip on both the pulldown and chin up are not gonna be your best option if you’re looking to grow your biceps. You’d be better off doing some form of supinated curl (DB Curls, BB Curls, Preacher Curls) because your biceps will have the best leverage to move the weight, making them easier to grow…without as much assistance from your lats, teres & forearms (PMID: 28011412)
    **SUMMARY: the underhand lat pulldown will be better for growing your biceps than a traditional wide grip lat pulldown…and if you’re constantly progressing & training with intensity YOUR BICEPS CAN GROW as a result…the only caveat is that your lats, teres & forearms are gonna get a better stimulus because they have better leverage to move the weight ➡️ which is why picking a curl variation where you can load the bottom half of the movement would be better if you’re looking to grow your arms

      He was pulling with his back. Sam sullick has a much better video with a great explanation. I've done it myself and if it's executed properly you only feel your biceps trust me.
