I got mine a while ago...my Glock is in the safe, collecting dust. This gun is all of that and more..trigger is great, accurate as hell , has a Match barrel , 20rd mags..very easy to mantain.. I put a set of night sights ... this is a great gun, good looking gun, and like I said it is my daily carry...the Glock ? it will go to the chop block, for sale.
Just put the same one on layaway at Rural King today, last one they had so I had to have them hang on to it for me! Picking it up next weekend, my first 9mm, got a 40 and 45, wanted to get into the 9mm mainly for the cost of ammo, but this may very well be my new daily carry!
I love mine!! That full sized grip for better capacity it awesome! I personally don't like conceal carrying such a big Fred pistol but a damn good gun!
@sinusguy Yeah, they announced the new compact version right after i got a g26 for concealed carry. Maybe what they say about never having too many guns is true
I just bought this exact pistol today, also from Rural King for $419.00. I was originally going to buy a Glock 19x but this 1 changed my mind. I'll probably still get a G19X at some point but I'm very happy with this pistol. Can't find 9mm ammo hardly anywhere though. They just got 40 boxes in that morning and by noon they were sold out. I had to order a few hundred rounds online.
You will love the gun. My choices were the Glock 19x, XDM, or the SIG P2022. The XDM had all the bells and whistles and at a great price. Thanks for checking out my video.
@@blackoakoutdoors88 I had narrowed it down between the G19X or the S&W M&P 2.0 .45ACP in FDE. But as soon as I saw this model and the price I couldn't not buy it.
The Gen 1.....Miss mines, the one i had came in the suit case back when they was still giving you a mag holder and holster poke knocked it but i liked it i mean it did the job people honestly feel like they had to have a $100 holster or it was junk lol those held my gun flawlessly
I’ve actually just put one on layaway. I’m super stoked. It is my first gun but I’ve been around firearms a fair amount. I don’t know everything but I have common sense when it comes to firearm safety. So in my eyes the safety features on this handgun make it for me, not just for me which I definitely don’t plan on having any negligent discharges but also for my girlfriend and eventually other members of my family if they’re comfortable with it. I wanted something for home defense and this seemed like a good alternative compared to getting a 12g shotgun (the overall practicality in a CQB situation) The striker indicator and the round in the chamber indicator are amazing ideas in my opinion. Especially for when something could go bump in the night. Before I held the XDM9 I held a CZ 75 and I didn’t like the angle of the grip, it felt narrow compared to when I picked up the XDM9. I’m 21, 280 and 6’0 so I have larger hands than the average guy. I’ve held a couple Glock 19 Gen 4’s and they felt great in my hand as well (giving you a general idea of my hand size). But when I held the XDM9 it fit my hand perfectly. The angle of the grip felt way better in my hand let alone the ergonomics of the grip. Love that you can switch the back part of the grip out. I’m paying 420$ and then 30$ tax. I don’t know the average price range of any handguns so I’m not sure if I could’ve gotten it for cheaper or I paid what most people did.
I'm not even going to lie. I love my Sig P320 but I'm kicking myself for not getting the XDM instead. My next gun real soon will be the 20rd XDM. I hate fiber optic sights though
@@blackoakoutdoors88 True, now is the time to carry it. I tried mine with just a t-shirt and it's a no go for me. But I didn't get it for CCW. I got it because it holds 20 rounds.
@@blackoakoutdoors88 I intended to start competing before the virus mad ammo rare and expensive. I got a CZ P10-C to compete with but I also wanted to try this. I should have gotten the longer slide too but I don't think that's as big of a deal as it's made to be?
I don't shot competitions but I could see a longer slide would be better but this one here is pretty accurate. I have shot 25yd and was satisfied but that was just target shots.
I carry it daily as a CCW. The handle is A little long but I usually wear a bigger shirt so it's not really that noticeable. I really like it and a good holster makes a big difference
@@blackoakoutdoors88 Solid pistol, love the FDE, this one is next on my list. Thank you sir. I have an XD45 mod 2 4.0 service model right now and it's ran flawlessly.
Do most people buy this gun as a conceal carry? Like you I have bigger hands. A compact leaves the bottom half of my hand hanging off. Easy to conceal carry? Difference between this and the elite? Thx.
I haven't personally had hands on with the elite, but from what I can tell is that the elite carries 1 extra round and has a threaded barrel. The grip is a tad long for CCW but I wear a larger shirt with it so it's not noticeable. I carry at about the 430 position IWB. I forget I have it with me most the time.
i want to ask you a question i want to buy the compact and the full size but they telling me that i don't need to get the full size if i'm buying the compact pistol. y want to get the 4.5 barrel and the compact and go from there i like how it holds 23 and 20 i got to have them so please help me out
Well if you get the 3.8 XDM like this one, you get the best of both worlds. You get the Sub Compact barrel length and then you get the full size grip. If you plan on Conceal carry and self defense, then I would prefer a Sub Compact. If your just wanting to target shoot. Then go for the full size.
@@blackoakoutdoors88 i want the full size and the compact one for conceal carrying and the other one for home defense and going to the range to shoot and relax my mind but i was told to get just the compact one and buy the extra mag that will make ir 19 rounds. but i want to get both of them and call it a day.
Is it true that they say 19 round magazine, that if you don't use the gun often you should not load more than 10 to 15 rounds in the magazine in order to prolong its life??
With the right holster it's not hard. I use a alien gear cloak tuck 4.0 IWB and carry at the 4oclock position and it's not noticeable. I did up a size on shirt size though to help conceal it.

It is a good gun for sure. Good winter time CCW. Stuff it under the coat alot easier
I got an xds .45 which only carries 6 rounds. Wanted something with more capacity and purchased the same pistol you did also at Rural king.
Update: Bought this a half a year ago when I posted this comment. Its a great gun still carry it everyday. Now Jan 21 2021
Unfortunately this one did not come with a speed loader.
