$669 + tax/shipping ($762.08) on GB for the Springfield XDM 3.8" 9mm Elite Compact OPS w/ the Hex Dragonfly red dot (NOT "RMR"....that's Trijicon). I LOVE this firearm! I ended up buying one for myself as well.....
I bought my XDM last year when they came out with the improved META trigger. Minus the hex optics, it's been my favorite EDC to date. It has functioned flawlessly with every round fired. I have the 20 round capacity 3.8 model in 9mm. Springfield's XDM series reflect the company's ability and passion to create the finest firearms available.
I have an original XDM 4.5" OSP with a Holosun 508T. I love the XDM triggers and ergonomics, not to mention they look super sexy. I saw the Elite OSP 3.8" on sale today for $350 at Palmetto State and Sportsman's Outdoor SS and had to pick one up. I love Glocks because I can completely disassemble and reassemble without looking, simple design, but I think Springfield makes a better pistol in almost every way.
Got mine a couple of days ago, love it! Was pretty mad that the site didn’t come already installed but it looks like yours was. At any rate, looking forward to taking it out and trying it.
The purpose of the magazine end caps is to REPLACE the magwell if you prefer. It also changes the mag round count from 14 to 13. I have one of those pistols; the non-OSP version.
Nice gun man! It is easy to see it fits your hand perfectly when you do not adjust your grip after every shot. A lot of people reviewing handguns claim that a gun is awesome, but if you pay attention; they adjust the grip after every shot, you only did that after the first shot which is understandable. This is my next gun.
The cool thing about the XDM Elite 3.8 Compact trio (9mm, .45acp, 10mm) is they fit the same holsters. Buy one IWB holster and one OWB holster and you are good for all three guns. I don't yet have the .45 acp but I do have the 9 and the 10mm. They fit the same holsters. I believe the .45 acp fits as well. My one criticism of the XDM Elite line is using a red dot optic. You can't co-witness with your iron sights, so if your optic was to go out at the worst possible time, you can't see your iron sights as an alternative sighting method because the optic sits too high on the slide and blocks your view of the iron sights. For that reason, I've decided to not use a red dot with these guns. I shoot the XDM elites at up to 20 yards reallly well with the iron sights, anyway.
tht mod 2 xd9 look pretty good got a nice thick look to it & its really nice & compact the xdm elite just toos it off it looks like you upgraded to yo the iphone so flawless

I have just purchased the xdm elite compact in 45 acp. The very first thing I did was to remove the mag well. With the magazine in the firearm the grip was even so much better, and it came with six magazines from the manufacturer. So far I have almost a thousand rounds through it with zero issues. I am planning to install a red dot sight on it, contemplating with either a holosun or the trijicon rmr. Loving my xdm elite compact. 😊
I’ve put 2000 rounds through my new Hellcat Pro in 2.5 months and had zero stovepipes or other firing-related issues. I still really want the XDM Elite compact 9mm though-the stock META trigger is awesome.

Be careful to leave the striker dry and not to put to much solvent or lubricant on the slide when cleaning. Lubricant has a way of carrying gunk into the striker channel and safety plunger and cause it to fail. I clean my striker and plunger after every use. Also replacing the roll pin with a spring roll pin is a good idea. The roll pins have been reported to break.
These guns can easily go 10,000 rounds without cleaning the striker or plunger. I think your cleaning practices are excessive to put it lightly. Won't knock a man for meticulously maintaining his equipment though.
