Another work around for the "run as admin" is right click, go to properties -> compatibility -> tick always run as admin. That way you can just click to open up

I recommend trying to disable "Enable hardware acceleration in the browser" if the overlays seem laggy when entering the game, this solved my problem. It's in settings, advanced, in the sources section. Oh and test by recording, not streaming.

How do I run as administrator on Mac?? I can't find that option

Im currently streaming on a very old pc, its only got 8 gigs of ram but obs seemed to work okay up until recently. I recently changed from ps4 to ps5 and use an elgato HD60 S+, the gameplay is 1080 but the only option to stream at is 720, i get crazy frame drops just with gameplay (audio is fine) any tips?

I’m streaming on a Mac Pro 2019,
It’s very very laggy with very minimal overlays. How do I fix this?
See Recently like 3-4 days back ,i started experiencing more lags after using some settings of a youtuber. but instead of solving the issue i got more lags. Before that it was fine ,i can easily stream and play with no lags,then now its like if my gameplay dont lag, the output video will lag so much. if outputs dnt lag then the game will lag.(I have rygen3 processor and 8Gb RAM laltop)....i reset the settings but the lag continues
If you disable the preview, how are you monitoring your stream? do you have it open in your browser or something?

Can you help me? My webcam (Well, its my iPhone actually) get laggy when i stream and play with some games… Genshin, fall guys… but it dont lag with COD That its powerful… i really dont understand
None of these ever seem to help. I follow every video right with a high end pc on the lowest settings for OBS but when I capture clips for my movie reviews they always record choppy.

My stream randomly drops to 0kbps when I go live but my wifi is completely fine..is there a way to fix it?
Sounds like instability with the interent. Just because the internet doesnt go "out" doesnt mean its not stable. Run OBS in test mode for 10 minutes and see how many packets you lose.

I stream at 1080p 120hz but if i set my fps ingame to unlimited the frames drops in obs, I have to cap my fps in order to keep obs to run at 120 fps smooth. Any fixes?
ill be honest. 1080p 60fps is plenty. Dont really need 120fps. Curious, what game are we talking about here?
@@GenXTech ah alr! I will just keep it at 60fps then😊 Its Minecraft, I get 2.2k fps sometimes and the more fps the more obs lags. I am very new to streaming. One more question, ive noticed when i move around very fast the image becomes very blurry on stream. I have 500/500 ethernet btw. I just want to be able to stream at a good quality :)

update your stream key and refresh your OBS cache

My issue I keep having is that I am lagging backwards in the game and getting hits in that I shouldn't, I am thinking it is because of obs because I don't normally have this problem.
Same and it just started happening recently
@@mooshu96 I ended up switching to Streamlabs after tons of trial and error and so far I am only getting a bit of framerate drops every so often with that so it is a lot better than any of the other ones I have tried. If you are still having the problem I suggest going to stream labs ^^

You have to change your Base Resolution
I fixed it by changing something, unfortunately my motherboard died just the other night so I can't even see what I did.
Base and canvas were 3840x2160
Nvidia encoder was the new Av1 maxed out without issues in Sdr.
I have a question whenever I attempt to stream in 4k hdr. My network locks to 6Mbps, yet I have a 2.3Gbps internet connection.
Sdr uses 52Mbps no issues, HDR 6Mbps, and dropped frames.

Yes, it just doesnt show you the preview, but this saves ALOT of stress from your processor

Sounds like your bit rate doesnt match your internet output levels
Sorry, none of this worked. I literally upated OBS today, and I'm still getting frame drops on Sonic Frontiers, and I have a 16 core AMD processor and a 2060 Super RTX running.
my internet is good and i use ethernet to start the stream. Every thing works great until i open game u can say valo , before opening valo the net is good like 3000kps sth as soon as i open a game it drop downs to 90,120kps like that. And youtube says its not receving enough video and all plzz someone help.

This is for dropped frames in OBS Studio... Not increasing FPS in your game. If you need help increasing you FPS ive got a few videos on that as well :)

Sadly how are we supposed to know if stream is working correctly if we can't see the preview ?
At the bottom of OBS it gives you the status of your stream. Including bitrate, packetloss info and frames dropped if any. All the info you need to know if its working correctly
@@GenXTech sadly, whatever I tried my frames were still dropping on any game. I don't know anymore what to do. Before it worked fine. And today wrong.

For me obs running fine.but when im click on first monitor to start the game. obs is lagging.i hate it..dont know the reason.all done armin, without Overlays
make sure your monitors settings are proper and your Video Card Driver is up to date.
allready done , tryed everything. after i setup all new in obs its working until the next update or restart @@GenXTech
also been experiencing this issue, my gpu will go to 100% at some points and my whole pc lags
@@ogxros if your gpu is hitting 100% then you are over cooking that thing.. turn down your game graphics

I can’t click on preview mode nothing happens when I click
Try going into OBS settings and go to "HOTKEYS".
Set a hotkey from preview mode on/off. SAVE the settings. Then try using it after you close settings.
