- Keeway K-light 125 review. Used bike bargain? Take a look at this nearly new motorcycle. These bikes are already cheap when new. This has seriously low miles and looks as good as new but cheaper than a new one. Does this qualify as a used bike bargain? Well you tell me!

I bought one new during the lockdown and I think for the price it is a decent machine.
I don't have a car license, so I ride all year around. Due to this I try to have a cheap run around and a more powerful fun bike. My Keeway Superlight got totalled in an accident just before lockdown, so I ended up buying the replacement without ever actually sitting on it. I was originally going to get another superlight but the spec on the K-Light was a bit better.
PROS:
* super cheap to run, my current commute is about 15mins each way 6 days a week and I fill it up roughly once a month. So £14ish quid for a months travel is a steal.
* reliable even in cold and wet, more so than the Superlight was.
* lighter and more nimble feeling than the Superlight, slightly faster as well.
* Looks nice, I would say more people compliment it than the Superlight.
CONS:
* I am 6.1, and yes the bike is a bit cramped, but is comfortable enough for commuting where journeys are usually no longer than 30mins each way, any longer and it gets uncomfortable.
* Rust, the bike mechanically has been utterly reliable thus far but it lives outside, cosmetically it has not held up, the front forks, headlight surround and exhaust have all got quite bad rust on them. If you can store it inside you will likely be ok, but for me, that is not an option.
* Replacement parts, the Superlight was really easy to get parts for, the K-Light has been a lot harder to get parts for with MotoGB sometimes saying that I am looking at a 2 month wait for a part. (Ended up getting them on ebay), and I am fairly sure the parts are more expensive than superlight parts.
As for the seperate indicators, I love them, I find them much more intuative than the single control when dealing with distracting conditions (bad weather, rush hour traffic etc). I would switch my Yamaha XV to something to split buttons in a heartbeat.

It looks like a pretty awful day for a review ride but still it would have been nice to see the bike on a rolling country A road. These K-Way 125cc cruisers have been toured all over without missing a beat. Yes, there is 'CC Snobbery' but then, of course, there is the real world too. Thank you for doing the review on a bad weather day......that also proves something about the bike. Not a weekend rider posing blob.
It was a bad day to be honest. Very windy. But i do like to show people that these bikes are good and can be used in all weathers.

The pegs are far too high on the K-lite ... as are the footboards on the Superlight.
I'm 6ft and just traded in my Superlight for a new RKV V-TWIN .
KEEWAY bikes are brilliant value for money
A great swap. The RKV has to be one of the best 125’s out there, that and the VCruise are right at the top for looks and value for money. Brilliant bikes.
I'm hoping for my first bike to be a keeway. Are they actually reliable long term? :)
I’ve never owned one myself so I don’t know. I would advise you to join all of the keeway Facebook groups. Loads of owners on there. 👍

They are really cheap. Impressive really.
They are built to a price but I have non issues with that. The build quality looks good. I like them.
Now if it had a 500cc single and didn't rot for fun, it would be perfect
Amazingly, both Harley Davidson and BMW have engines manufactured for (not 'by') them in China and they don't ....." rot for fun ". By the way, check out the QJ Group....owners of 'Keeway', 'MBP' and 'BENELLI' ...plus others.
Lots of people remember how bad some bikes from china used to be. It’s just not the case now. Benelli and Keeway are making some great bikes and they are keeping the price nice and low.
