I definitely know how you are feeling. It's good to step back and enjoy life and family and friends. This has been a tough year for me, lost my Brother in December and Dad three weeks later both to cancer so I am definitely looking at things a bit differently now and I've went from all excited to get a C8 Z06 to now kinda blah, get it when I get it. Can't wait to see your progress on the new garage! Miss seeing your enthusiasm!
Thanks Everjeff. Very sorry for your losses. New video actually uploading now! Still going to be occasional with videos, but finding my pace. Have a nice day!
Congratulations Fred on your decisions. Life is too short to waste time. I certainly appreciate all of your vids and the tie it takes to produce each one. Glad you went for the garage as it will give you many unique opportunities for projects and fun. Looking forward to your next vid, whenever it is!!
I do understand where you are coming from. Life is way to short to waste. I have a friend that missed his window of opportunity. I pushed and suggested to him to enjoy life more. His answer was always there is tomorrow. I now feel his train has passed him. I will watch any video that you release. I wait to watch your garage build. My garage is my man cave and my happy place. Keep us posted on all of your projects. When you are done we can compare garages. They will be great places for the both of us.
Thanks for sharing the update. Always enjoy hearing about projects, interests and hobbies from you. Look for to videos anytime you find time to share. Enjoy the journey!
Awww....Yeah... It's Fredday Again...ha ha ha! Fred, some sad news my friend 😢 but I can completely understand your thoughts 💭 and situation with UA-cam! Having made multiple friends through this platform and seeing their work on a regular basis has often made me want to start a channel of my own! Sadly, I have struggled with the same idea of finding time to record, produce, and edit any content, with of my crazy daily schedule. How would I find the time to create great content? ... and I have never started my channel. At one point I thought of just recording all of the things I really enjoy doing and using that to make some great content...and still no channel! I will be here for all future Fredday's to come ... Ha ha ha 😆 Congratulations 👏 on deciding to build your garage! I'm really excited for you to the project and hopefully you'll bring us along during the process! I really hope you save some loft space for that Fred Office Spot! YES... Bring on the Mods for the GS! That will be some great content and will make for a hella good time modding your baby! I'm ready to offer up any advice I can and I know Justin will be readily available for information too! Keep us/me up to date with the BMW and the Lemons progress and race when we get closer! I'm hoping you'll bring us along for that as well! Be well and enjoy your time in between... -Shane
You’re a busy guy and yes, you need to do what is necessary to kick back some and breathe. We Subscribers will be looking forward to still following you and I think we want you to do the Videos you enjoy or it’s not fun anymore. “Live long and prosper” Looking forward to the development of the garage!!! IMO, you never have enough space. I also suggest 12’ wide garage doors, so maybe look at 30’ wide garage front or more. Depth is a big consideration if you have a Pickup Truck with a Snowplow that you plan to keep inside. My 60’ by 30’ main garage with a 16’ extension is good for 5 vehicles and a workshop or 6 vehicles. There are some changes I would make, especially placing “Man Doors” at the ends and not midway of the building. A dedicated wash bay or wash area is a great idea for car guys. If INTENSE GARAGE GUYS want to see OCD to the Max, check out Obsessed Garage on UA-cam. Good Luck Fred Doug
Fred, You are doing the right thing. Although I enjoy your videos, life is too short, so go out and enjoy yourself! My dad was always talking about what he was going to do 'down the road.' Well at age 39 he died from a stroke, and never made it down the road. Your thoughts on the Z06 are on the money. I am actually having second thoughts on mine. It has been 20 years since Road Atlanta and when I drove there I had a dominant car. In one even I was first in pit row, and just before the start, they allowed 3 race cars to get in front of me. Those drivers wanted to get a few laps in before the race the next day. By the third lap I had passed all three. Now I think about the Z06 and wonder if I am just trying to re-live those experiences. I look forward to your periodic updates. All the best to you! Sully
Z06 or not, I will be checking in to see what is the latest on your post. Air is escaping on the Z06 balloon and it is not all excitement and news as it had been and the E-Ray news is not so much news anymore. But I'm looking forward to sneak peeks in the coming several months of the next variant...ZR1 hopefully, with a little more excitement and more to talk about.
Great advice re: not waiting for Z06. Thats my train of thought exactly. Some of my initial excitement is waning unfortunately. Love the channel and watch every one of your vids. Enjoy the new england heat.
Fred. Waiting. Hope your having a great spring. Can you do a Fred dive in the GM denying points to Z06 owners because we didnt signup for GM rewards. Thanks.

Good for you! Stepping back from your channel sounds like the right thing for you to do!
Great, thoughtful video. I’m not going anywhere.

Dude, I’m super excited to see your garage build, I’m doing a very similar project and am interested in hi lift doors with at least one 4 post lift
Fred. Waiting. Hope your having a great spring. Can you do a Fred dive in the GM denying points to Z06 owners because we didnt signup for GM rewards. Thanks.
As always, enjoyed your latest video. I’m also rethinking ordering a Z06 and instead maybe a low mileage C7 Z06. 😅
C8 waiting it is what it is.
Okay Fred, you like riding motorcycle, you like riding jet ski, and you like making people laugh.
I think it's time you purchased a scoot-ski!
Thanks Fred, you made me famous for 15 minutes, you’re right Life Is Too Short, aim high.
I am also from New England, where are all the Vette meets and events? I also have a C7 Grand Sport
